What I wore:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers (on sale!)
Cami: Jeanswest 'Amber' floral print ruffle camiJeans: Jeanswest maternity skinny jeans in black
Shoes: Asos 'five star' leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes pink clic clac
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC (on sale!)
Why I wore it:
I tried on a few other tops before I got to this one. It's pretty, so I wanted to wear it before the bump got too big, but I was really pushing the limits of it. Although it did fit better than a few of the other tops I'd tried, it didn't feel comfortable at all and I was wishing I'd picked a different top after a few hours!Took toddler T out to a trial class of gymboree, which is like kind of like baby gymnastics. Basically a morning of play learning new moves; bouncing, running, rolling, swinging, singing songs. It was really fun! Toddler T loved it and I wasn't too tired out by the end of it (I did wonder how I'd cope running along with him!).
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, floral ruffle cami, black maternity skinny jeans, Asos leather sandals, Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC.
Other ways to wear: floral ruffle cami and a maxi skirt, black maternity skinny jeans in the office, Asos leather sandals and a maxi dress, Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC and a printed dress.
What I wore:
Necklace: House of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
Tank: Jeanswest 'Josie' striped back strap tank
Jeans: Jeanswest maternity super skinny jeans in antique blue
Shoes: Ikwetta 'Circles of life' sandals (C/O)
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs waxed leather cream howlite beaded wrap bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC (on sale with black hardware!)
Why I wore it:
Wearing my super comfortable maternity jeans again to take toddler T to playgroup. I loved everything about this outfit and wouldn't change a thing! It was a slightly cooler day in Brisbane after a couple of wet and stormy days, so it was perfect for jeans. I am grateful for the cooler weather as it lets me wear the jeans a little longer, I know in no time at all summer will be here and I'll have ditched them for shorts. I've already bought another pair of maternity shorts in anticipation....
Last worn: printed kimono, striped tank, blue maternity skinny jeans, Ikwetta sandals, Rebecca Minkoff metallic mini MAC (above).
Other ways to wear: printed kimono and a bright tank, striped tank and printed shorts, maternity skinny jeans at 40 weeks pregnant, beaded sandals and a leopard print dress, mini MAC and a maxi dress.

Oh are you pregnant? That's so exciting! :D Congrats!
DeleteHope you find my Maternity Outfit Guide useful!
I think skinny jeans looks great in both outfits, but my fav is the first one...that floral blouse is so feminine and while I'm all team stripes and print mixing...that first blouse really caught my eye.

It is such a lovely cami! Hopefully I'll get some wear out of it after baby arrives :)

Both of these are so cute! i hope when I'm pregnant I'm able to keep my personal style intact as you have! :) (I bet I'll be one of those people who wears sweatpants all the time even though I NEVER go out in public in them, haha
ReplyDeletehttp://www.closet-fashionista.com/
haha let me tell you, in the end it's a struggle! getting dressed is just pulling on the trackie dacks, unless you have to venture outside (which I tried to make sure I did once a day so I'd have a reason to make an effort and get out of the trackie dacks!). Growing a human is hard work though, in the end it doesn't matter what you wear as long as you're happy and comfortable :)
DeleteI am loving the casual look of the second outfit and the pattern mixing. You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe first blouse and the kimono are so pretty!! I haven't gotten on the kimono train yet, but that gorgeous pattern may have convinced me to give it a whirl!
ReplyDeleteI love this kimono! I'm looking for more, they are perfect for adding colour in summer! :)
DeleteYou look too cute! I love the striped top and patterned kimono together. Beautiful.

It is nice print mixing, as stripes go with everything! :)
DeleteWow, second trimester already! I have to say, you look absolutely gorgeous, and so radiant. :) <3 Those jeans sure look comfy, and you picked fab tops & accessories to go with them! x

I was lucky - Jeanswest has been voted best maternity clothing brand for years here in Australia, so it was easy to pick up a pair or two that fit perfectly and kept me comfy through all the trimesters last time! :)
DeleteYou have the best pregnancy style! I love how chic yet casual your outfits are, and that they are comfortable is even better. The striped top with the patterned kimono look fabulous together!

Look at that belly. The Ruffles and stripes in both outfits, show it off so well. Do you know the baby's gender yet?
ReplyDeleteWe will share when the baby is born :)
DeleteMaternity jeans are my life savior with the bump growing so quickly this time! But I feel you on tops, even my oversize sweaters barely fit anymore, and my parka isn't as easily closed as it used to be...
ReplyDeleteLinda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking
Yes, the second time around it is definitely growing bigger and faster, there is so much of my wardrobe I haven't been able to wear this time!
DeleteI never thought Maternity and Skinny Jeans will be at the same sentence ever. I didn't knew there was a maternity skinny jeans! It's awesome :)

Gymboree? I wish we had something like that here! Actually there's a place here called Skymaxx and it's a room full of trampolines. We take Penny some times during toddler time. She LOVES it! (: A fun cold weather activity for sure!
ReplyDeleteDont you love relaxed outfits you actually feel great about? (:
Oh the trampolines sound like fun! :D It's funny, we go to gymboree here because it's great in hot weather - because it's air conditioned! ha!
DeleteI love both looks but that second one is my favorite. I love the fun mix of patterns and the necklace as an accent. Great looks for a growing bump! :)
ReplyDeleteI bet he has a great time there! Sounds like so much fun! You look great in your skinny jeans Mica! Rock it momma!

He does, he loves running around and trying all of the activities! :)

Nothing is worse than realising your outfit is super uncomfy halfway through the day! It must be difficult when your shape is changing so quickly to have a repertoire of things you know won't cause you any issues. I like your second outfit in particular, I have a lot of stripy things but never know what to wear with them. The pattern mixing works well!
ReplyDeleteYes it's definitely at that point where it's hard to know what will fit each day! I'm hoping I don't have too many more outfits like the first one, and they are more like the second.
DeleteJealous you're still having summer. Love the top!

Maternity jeans are the actual best. I didn't give mine up post-pregnancy until they were back to sliding down and unwearable. So hard to go back to regular jeans afterwards! Loving the stripes and pretty kimono.
ReplyDeletehaha yes I wore mine for quite a while post baby too! SO comfortable!
