Necklace: Dogeared 3 Wishes stardust bead necklace
Top: Jeanswest floral print brown ribbed tank
Skirt: AT by Atmos&Here Mars striped maxi skirt
Shoes: Asos metallic Freestyle leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus gifted gold bangle set
Bag: Marc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown
Had the day off work on Tuesday to attend a doctor's appointment and do some extra tests. Was a very busy and stressful morning, I ended up making up for it with a very lazy afternoon on the couch with Cooper!
This top is one that's never been on the blog before, and in fact I'm not sure when I wore it last. It was an old favourite of mine I used to wear lots in my uni days that I rediscovered and pulled out of my wardrobe for the "last wear before it goes" test. And it's staying in my wardrobe! I used to love this top so much I just can't get rid of it. Plus it's currently fitting the bump quite well! Thought that the white floral print on the top would pair nicely with the white striped maxi skirt.
Last worn: striped maxi skirt, Asos gold sandals, Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran bag. First time I've worn the tank on the blog, although it's an old item.
Here's what I wore to work today:
Necklace: custom Cooper charm by Silhoupette layered with Dogeared silver wishbone necklace
Top: Temt grey knot front top
Skirt: Asos graphic print pencil skirt on sale! (maternity version here)
Shoes: Wittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Marc by Marc Jacobs enamel turnlock stripey hinge black and white bangle
Bag: Marc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown
This top is another top that hasn't been worn in the 2 years I've had this blog. I actually bought it back in 2009 when I needed some new clothes for a "proper" office job where I wasn't allowed to wear denim, a huge change to my wardrobe at the time. It's sat in my closet since then, with tags on(!) until today. Don't even remember why it's never been worn, but grateful to have it as it's a great non-restrictive pregnancy top!
Had to take photos inside today as it was so rainy this morning! It did clear up later though. Had the benefit of a big white wall to take photos against in the nursery after clearing out all of my clothes and accessories. Took a little video of what it looked like before - will be sure to take an after video once everything's in place for baby's arrival! :)
Last worn: maternity pencil skirt, Wittner black flats, Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran (see above). First time I've worn the top although it's an oldie.

The top you wore today is a perfect maternity top. So good that you rediscovered it in your wardrobe. Would be a nice one for work too. I hope your tests come back all o.k. I'm guessing you might have had the sugary drink?? I kind of enjoyed it hehe. sparkle2day.com
ReplyDeleteYep it was the first sugary drink test! Ugh it was yucky, I hated it! :( haha! The things we do for our babies :)
DeleteYour skin is glowing! I absolutely love the second outfit on you. I think the cut of the top looks amazing with your baby bump. I can't get over how fit you look- I can only hope to look that good when my time comes :P

Thank you! I'm certainly not feeling fit, the huffing and puffing walking up stairs is starting, hehe! :)

How exciting to be getting your nursery organised. I love the maxi skirt and am thinking of picking up some maxis myself for the summer! x
ReplyDeleteMaxi skirts are perfect for summer! :) Won't be long before you will be setting up your nursery - it is so exiting :)
Deleteso glad to see you were able to put an older shirt to work! great outfits!
ReplyDeletecute & little
your flower top is so cute -- glad you kept it! so much fun to get a tour of your wardrobe room!! i need to tell my boyfriend that you have a whole room for storage since he is always saying that my closet is too packed :)

yep, I was pretty spoiled to have an entire room! :)
DeleteLooks like you are doing a good job clearing things up and making room for the baby! I think it would be cool if you can eventually find another way to store your handbags. How about a nice cabinet with clear window/door so you can see what you have inside? Just a thought :)
ReplyDeletethat would be great - and I've thought of that (and drooled over the ideas in Ikea), but we don't really have a place for it to go. So under the bed in boxes it is, hehe! :)
DeleteYou are glowing =) Great rediscoveries in your wardrobe as well =)

I love rediscovering old pieces. I just found two old Witchery tanks I used to wear to death 3 or 4 years ago. They're in a pile of clothes I was meant to repair because they had started developing holes on the bottom seams LOL. Ok so I am yet to repair them, but I'll do it tonight, maybe!

I hope you can repair them and wear them! This wardrobe clearout has been great for me to find some fun pieces to wear and remember previous times I've worn them :)
DeleteThat first top is definitely a keeper. I really think your cuteness is increasing in direct proportion to your bump! I was a hideous beast when I was pregnant and you are just adorable.

Aww, thank you! I'm sure you looked beautiful in your pregnancy! :)
DeleteMica! That top top is so cute with the design down the front. right on.
ReplyDeleteAnd ...thank you for being so fun and being at Fashion item Friday each week. I still LOVE the design down the front of this top. So pretty!
DeleteThank you! :)
DeleteI love that you are using clothes that have been neglected as maternity wear. Can't wait to see how you changed this room for the baby.

Yep, starting to pull it together a bit more now - got the cot all setup! :)
DeleteGreat video, I always like your videos. I want to do a similar post because I also have our spare room completely dedicated to my clothes and bags like a massive walk in wardrobe!.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your video! You would have the prettiest wardrobe! :)
DeleteMica, that tank and maxi skirt look SO GOOD together doll! Don't get rid of it. It looks awesome on you. HaHa I saw where you were clearing out your bags. Good for you. Take your time while doing everything. Don't do too much at once doll.

Oh yes, it's taken months to clear out the wardrobe room, I'm going at a really slow and steady pace! :)
DeleteLove the maxi skirt! And lazy afternoons on the couch are the best :)
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit. Cute tank!

I love the top tank top Mica..its a very beautiful print!! And amen to lazy afternoons!! anyday..
ReplyDeleteLove that bangle set. I always get so distracted when I clear out my wardrobe and end up finding reasons why I can't get rid of anything!

I'm the same! It's been easier to reduce what I own by knowing that I need to make space for baby things though, a great motivator! :)
DeleteSaying hi from Fab Favorites party I am co-hosting this week. I love how you blogged about your tops that haven't been worn for a while; love re-discovering things in my own wardrobe :) Also I wore my regular tops in my pregnancies too; yours look great on you! XOXO, Elif
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I'm planning on continuing to use my regular clothes as much as possible :)
DeleteAhahahaha! I have tops like that- I just can't bare to part with them, even if I don't wear them much!
ReplyDeleteLoving both the skirts- how are you finding the ASOS maternity??
Yep, I have so many tops, some I so rarely wear now, but still can't get rid of!
DeleteAsos maternity is good - the pencil skirts have been fantastic for work! I find the tops a bit too long though. But a big fan of the pencil skirts! :)
Thank you all for your kind comments! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! what are you going to do ? I am sure after you edit some items you will still need a place to place everything, Good luck, it will be worth it!
ReplyDeleteMost stuff lives in boxes now, piling up boxes around the house, haha!
DeleteBut I edited as much as I could before the bump got too big to restrict me from trying everything on, and I'm still letting things go now and then to make more space :)
