Unfortunately, at two weeks postpartum you can't quite fit into everything in your wardrobe. Stretchy fabrics are the way to go! They are extremely comfortable too.
What I wore:
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban new Wayfarers
Tee: Atmos&Here oversized stripe tee
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag: Balenciaga giant hardware Day bag in 2009 tempete
Why I wore it:
Just a heads up that I will be wearing these tees a lot! I have this striped tee in black and burgundy and grey...when I see something I like I buy multiples. They are super soft and don't need ironing so they are on high rotation at the moment. Plus the stretchy factor works nicely post-baby with all the extra curves to be covered.Wore this out to take baby boy to a quick checkup, and to grab some lunch.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, striped tee, black maxi skirt, Havaianas, Balenciaga Tempete Day bag.
Other ways to wear: striped tee and tartan scarf, black maxi skirt and a graphic tee, Balenciaga Tempete Day bag and denim shorts.
More Maxi Skirts Under $50:
What I wore:
Singlet: Jeanswest maternity nursing cami
Skirt: Asos colour block maxi skirt in red
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag: Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere
Why I wore it:
Was so happy to be able to wear this maxi skirt again, even if I did go the very boring route and wear it with a breastfeeding singlet. This skirt was too long worn under the baby bump and never looked right worn above the bump so I've not been able to wear it since October.Wore this out to attend a child health clinic appointment with baby boy. I was feeling happy and confident in my outfit until I looked down halfway through the day and saw baby had added a little something to it....thankfully after I took photos, but sadly while we were out in public!
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers (above), breastfeeding singlet, colour block maxi skirt, Havaianas (above), Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere.
Other ways to wear: black singlet and black skirt, colour block maxi skirt for a night out, Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere and a wrap dress.

You're looking amazing for two weeks in! I'm the same as you with buying multiples of things that work, it just makes sense. Also that second skirt is so cheery! Shame about the extra baby decoration but I'm sure nobody noticed :)
ReplyDeleteMaxi skirts make everything look easy, even 2 weeks postbaby! :)
DeleteTwo weeks? I am two months postpartum and don't fit all my clothes, and I guess it will stay that way for a few more months.
ReplyDeleteThe maxi skirt has gorgeous colors.

haha yep I'm still getting frustrated with things I don't fit into quite yet at 2 months, it will definitely take a while, so stretchy fabrics are my friend right now :)
DeleteLooking great!! Both these outfits are perfect for going to appointments!
ReplyDelete(Oh babies, always leaving fun things on clothes ;) )

EEEEE congrats! How on earth do you look so amazing so soon after bub number two! Hope you are getting lots of sleep since I'm sure you get lots of cuddles.
ReplyDeletePixelhazard | Bright Green Laces
Yep certainly getting lots of cuddles! Not so much sleep, but the cuddles make up for it! :)
DeleteYou are looking radiant! Honestly maxi skirts are girls best friends! It can pretty much fit into any occasion! When it gets a bit cooler I usually wear longer socks underneath and pair with a pair of low heeled booties :)
ReplyDeleteYes they are so easy to layer up for cooler weather! Although it helps that it doesn't snow much here I guess :)
DeleteI think that after just two weeks you're looking great Mica :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to see "you're back".
Thanks Lorena. It's good to get out of the house and wear something other than PJs now and then!
DeleteHa, that's mom life for you, always some little additions to shirts and skirts :) Love both of these looks, especially that second skirt! I remember being SO tired of maternity clothes after Jona was born, but then so frustrated because nothing fit.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's another tricky transition, trying to give up the maternity clothes yet not being able to fully fit back into your normal wardrobe!
DeleteStill, as you tackle your in-transition post baby bod, you dress better than me on Sundays. (; lol For real. These outfits look rad and who cares if you repeat some super comfy tees. Don't tell anyone, but I totally do it too. (; Have a great weekend Mica!
ReplyDeletehaha thank you Kiki! :) Maxi skirts make everything look a little more pulled together I think!
Deleteyou look so amazing post-baby! these tees look so comfy and love the maxi skirt!

I think if you really love something it's best to get multiples of it! :)
DeleteYou're looking great! I'm like you, if I find an item I love, I always buy multiples in different prints or colours!

DeleteLoving the maxi skirt so much on you, hun! The second one especially is just so lovely on you. :) I was actually looking for something like that for my trip to Morocco which is happening in a couple of weeks, so thank you for the inspiration. <3

Both outfits look great on you! Skirt #2 is so fun! I really need to try a maxi skirt this summer...
ReplyDeleteYou would look great in a maxi skirt!
DeleteLooking great and comfy! I can tell from here that the top & skirt are relaxed and stretchy. Hope you're doing well!

Two weeks in and I am still floating around in a bubble of sleeplessness and maternity singlets. You are doing great!
ReplyDeleteIf my maternity singlets were any good for breastfeeding I'd no doubt be wearing them too, hehe. I gave them away to a pregnant friend.
DeleteMica, I think you are doing very well with your weight. You look great! It takes time. Love both outfits. Tees & maxis are great together.
