A while back Alison from Sydney Fashion Hunter contacted me and asked if I'd like to be involved in the "sisterhood of the travelling bag". Of course you know any mention of handbags has me interested!
Today's post features a few different ways to wear this Sash & Belle India black fringe bag. Check out Alison at Sydney Fashion Hunter and Kirsty from Geelong Fashionista to read more about how they've styled the bag in NSW and VIC.
What I wore:
Hat: Big W bow detail sunhatNecklace: Australian coin and crest necklace layered with Roie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklace
Dress: Jeanswest 'Elodie' tie dye grey jersey maxi dress
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
Bag: Sash & Belle India fringed cross body bag in black (C/O)
Why I wore it:
I felt a fringed bag would look great with a boho outfit, and thought of wearing this blue dress or this chambray one, but sadly they couldn't accommodate a third trimester baby bump! While the tie dye maxi dress was my third choice, I really liked this outfit in the end. We went out to a community festival, so I thought the hat was a great idea to be sun-safe, although I didn't need it as they had a lot of stalls indoors. Toddler T had a great time running around, and I was suitably comfortable walking around all morning in my maxi dress.Last worn: sun hat, tie dye maxi dress, Havaianas. First time I've worn the bag.
Other ways to wear: sun hat and denim shorts, tie dye maxi dress without a baby bump. See below for more ways to wear a fringed bag.
6 Ways to Wear the Sash & Belle India Fringe Bag:
Of course I couldn't pass up the chance to share the love and let the bag do a little travelling within Queensland...the strap is removable and adjustable so you can wear it a few different ways, as demonstrated by the stylish model and my fellow bloggers below.

Love the fringe bag! Especially the part where you can adjust the straps (I know, weird thing to like in a bag) but because I'm pretty short, it's always nice when the bag actually "fits" you. The sisterhood of the travelling bag sounds so fun too!
ReplyDeleteSam | http://mybeautycloud.com
As a fellow petite I agree, adjustable straps are the best! :)
DeleteI couldn't really get into the fringe trend, it is something I should try again. This cross body bag can look pretty with many outfits, with a dress like you did or casual jeans and top.
ReplyDeleteEla BellaWorld
It was fun to try the trend for a little while! :)

Love the tie dye maxi (got a similar one), the feathery necklace and of course the fab fringe bag, but then again, I've been seriously bitten by the boho bug. I might steal that combi come summer ;-)
ReplyDeleteAlex - Funky Jungle
It is a great summer outfit combination! :)

There was a time when I didn't like cross body bags and preferred only large totes. Nowadays, I love them and have added quite a few to my collection. They are so practical, easy to wear and you can use them to add the slightest pop of interest to your look, as you've done here! Thanks so much for sharing, girlie, and I hope you're having the best day so far!

I've been really loving cross body bags lately too! :)
DeleteThat is so awesome to feature alot of the fellow mummy bloggers <3 I reckon the little fringe back is so versatile. Remember I thought it was a RM bag? Speaking of which, the actual RM fringe bag I own is not so much on the practical side. It is so teeny tiny I can only fit in the absolute essentials inside.
ReplyDeleteIt does look quite similar to the RM bag, and I have had my eye on that for a while...shame it's so small :(
DeleteThe tie-dye maxi dress is definitely my favourite. It looks so good with the fringed bag too!

ReplyDeleteYes it's the perfect outfit for that! :) It was a fun festival too :)
DeleteGreat post! I never had a fringe bag actually precisely because I don't know what to wear it with!
