Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: statement disc necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Jenni basic singlet in Emerald green
Skirt: Target black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs labradorite bracelets
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with python embossed leather in aquamarine
Don't think I've ever worn this necklace on the blog before! Another find from my wardrobe clear-outs. I found a lot of neglected jewellery hiding away. Thought that the detail would be nice with the plain tank.
Just a comfortable casual outfit as I had to run a few errands on Thursday morning. I'm using my maternity leave to tick off all of my to-do list before baby arrives, but I'm taking it slowly and spreading it all out over the week so I'm still finding plenty of time to relax too. Thought the green of the top and the blue of the aqua bag paired nicely.
Last worn: Ray Bans, Jeanswest green tank, striped maxi skirt, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff aqua mini MAC.
Here's what I wore this evening:
Jacket: thrifted Zara black blazer (new purchase)
Necklace: vintage gold initial necklace
Dress: Jeanswest grey snake print maxi dress
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle
Bag: Chanel vintage quilted lambskin flap from Reebonz
After spending the day shopping with my sister today, I went out with DH to celebrate our wedding anniversary this evening. We had dinner and a movie, celebrating our last anniversary where we don't have to arrange a baby sitter ;)
You can see a little peek of what I wore during the day out shopping on instagram if you're interested. Just a plain grey tank, and black jersey maxi skirt with a striped cardi for warmth. We came across a Priceline event and got free makeovers which was nice as it meant I was really dolled up for the evening.
Took these photos before the makeover sadly! Wanted to show you what I wore out for dinner instead of just another maxi skirt and tank combo, to show that it is possible to get dressed up even at 39 weeks pregnant! Although it did take me quite some time to find something to wear this morning... Thanks to baby dropping, I had just enough breathing room to wear this empire waist non-maternity maxi dress. I had to stick with a maxi dress as my feet were too swollen to fit into any shoes, and the dress hides the thongs (flip flops) I have on underneath. As relaxed as we are in Queensland, most restaurants require you to wear something a little more substantial on your feet!
Last worn: snake print maxi dress, Havaianas (see above), vintage Chanel flap. First time I've worn the blazer as it's a recent op-shop find.
Linking up with Friday's Fab Favourites, Fashion Item Friday, Passion for Fashion, Casual Friday, Glitterati Galla today.
You look beautiful and I adore both outfits! x
ReplyDeleteSquee!! 39 weeks already! So exciting.
ReplyDeleteLove the snake print maxi. I can never find the good stuff at Jeans West like you do.

It probably has something to do with me spending way too much time shopping there, haha! :)
DeleteHm, I didn't realise there was such big restaurant etiquette! Obviously I have just been treating myself to all the McDonalds and cheapies in life. You just chillaxing by the pool here…no biggie. Will you be swimming with baby ninja when it comes? Does Cooper enjoy a bit of hydrotherapy? Hahah hope you're doing well so late on, Mica. Rosemary X
ReplyDeleterosemaryofelephants.blogspot.com
haha most places here have dress codes so you don't waltz in in thongs (flip flops), pretty standard unfortunately. I felt clever hiding them under the maxi dress, haha!
DeleteHopefully ninja baby likes swimming! Cooper unfortunately does not like the water, despite our best attempts to get him used to it.
Gorgeous evening outfit! I love the chanel bag - wish I could afford it ;)

They are classic splurges worth saving for! (Also, go with vintage ones from a reputable consignment or resale store, they are slightly more affordable)

Mica you are looking stunning as every. Just radiant! I swear I felt like a balloon at 39 weeks but of course loved every minute of it. Good luck lovely with the birth and welcoming your little bundle of joy. Definitely enjoy a little rest prior to the big event :) I sat up watching something on tv that had me captivate until 2am in the morning and went into labour at 6am. Not a great idea :)
