Blogger interview, Cooper and Mica want Oscar's Law!

I am so excited to see this post on The Fashionoclast today! Frederik, one of the writers at the Fashionoclast asked if I would like to be interviewed and of course I said yes. The thing I like best about it is how eloquent his introduction is compared to my responses ;)

Relaxing day today spending time with my family and a trip to the park. Cooper got some exercise while we fed the ducks and strolled around. My sister and I couldn't resist playing on the swings for a bit before we left!

I wore my pink Oscar's Law singlet as Cooper and I want Oscar's Law!

In Australia puppy farms (puppy mills or puppy factories) are legally allowed to exist and provide pet stores with puppies to sell, while over 200,000 animals are put down in shelters every year. (Source)
I dream of one day being able to proudly say that I come from a country where puppy farms are outlawed and the only animals in pet stores are shelter animals waiting to be adopted.

That's why I support Oscar's Law. (Plus Cooper looks so cute in his bandanna!)

Orange and purple

Have been wanting to try orange and purple together after seeing this amazing outfit from Sheila at Ephermera.

Got a chance to try today with an orange tee and purple bag.

Wrap Dress and a little bit orange

After feeling so blah yesterday, I wore some old favourites today. I really like each item in this outfit, and you can't go wrong with a classic wrap dress.

Unfortunately I got home from work late tonight and had to take an indoor pic, and it doesn't really capture the black well. I tried to improve the photo colours so you could see the detail but now I look really orange..haha. Sorry! Trust me, I'm still really pale. No orange fake tan here!

Star Print Top, Tribal Print Skirt, Diamond Tights

Thought I would give pattern mixing a try today :) Just subtly with different prints on my top, skirt and tights.

Not sure if I should keep this skirt - I love it but every time I wear it I'm never quite pleased with the outfit. Here are some of the other ways I've worn this skirt pre-blog:

Today was a last wear before I decide what to do with it. I think I should let it go. What do you think? Keep or donate?

Hurtful comments

Crazy day today. Stress at work is really getting to everyone. To top if off, came home to an extremely rude comment on one of my youtube videos. Someone randomly decided to leave a horrible comment about Cooper.

I deleted the comment but it still made me sad.

DH has told me it's okay, people on the internet are just crazy and rude like that, but how could you be so mean to such a cute little doggy?

On a completely unrelated note, here's what I wore today:

Dress: French Connection Melanie sleeveless navy and white dress
Necklace: glass pearls and black ribbon, made by a talented friend
Bracelets: the usual plus some freshwater pearl ones made by the same friend.
Shoes: Nine West

Rain, rain and a little more rain

Been watching the http://qldalert.com/ website all afternoon with the flooding and road closures. Keeping those who have already had their homes go under water today in my prayers, and hoping the rain relents soon.


This was what I wore today for a big meeting at work:

Dress: Valley Girl
Necklace: Gift from DH
Bracelets: the usual plus purple one made by a talented friend
Shoes: Cotton On black flats. Really need to get myself some rain boots! Needed sensible shoes today, but all my boots have heels.
Bag: Balenciaga 2008 Sapphire RH city

And I wore a cardi over the dress most of the day to keep warm:

Even more rain and road closures today. Thankfully it stopped raining in the afternoon and hasn't started again, hoping it continues to stay that way and we have a dry Australia day tomorrow.

The boots were a much better choice for the rain than my black flats yesterday, but my knee did get sore after wearing them all day. Need to ease into heels!

Can't believe it's the 1st of February already! Really wish January had welcomed in the new year in a much more pleasant manner, but there is still lots more of the year to go.

I did have work today so I swapped out the thongs for my Nine West black flats and wore a long black cardi too. I always have flats and a cardigan in my desk, they are really useful.

Glad it was Wednesday, only 2 days left of work before the weekend :)
