Star Print Top, Tribal Print Skirt, Diamond Tights

Thought I would give pattern mixing a try today :) Just subtly with different prints on my top, skirt and tights.

Here's what I wore:
Cardi: Jeanswest grey knit cardi
Top: Cotton On Salta peasant top in black / gardenia star gazer print (New Purchase)
Necklace: Indigo Rose Design pearl and antique gold long necklace
Bracelets: the usual plus Indigo Rose Design black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
Skirt: French Connection tribal touch skirt in nightfall
Shoes: Rubi black ballet flats
Bag: Balenciaga 2008 Sapphire RH city (similar at Barneys)

Closeup of accessories:

Not sure if I should keep this skirt - I love it but every time I wear it I'm never quite pleased with the outfit. Here are some of the other ways I've worn this skirt pre-blog:

Today was a last wear before I decide what to do with it. I think I should let it go. What do you think? Keep or donate?

  2. I do like the skirt but if you're not feeling it maybe you should get rid of it and then use the money to invest in something that makes you feel more confident and something you can play around with too!

    Have an awesome day!

  3. the skirt is actually pretty but the colour is a bit dull. wht u can do is use a bright accessories to colour it alive (like a mini pink belt) and definitely make sure to tuck your shirt in. but yeah, donating might be a great solution if you're too lazy to modify it :P

    1. Thanks, I like the idea to add a bright belt! I've tried that before (didn't take a picture though) but didn't like the result.

  7. Ooh, love all the subtle print mixing. Its because its in the same shade that it works :)
Hmmm...and I'd say if you're not completely happy with the skirt, then its best to donate. Just because then you're making room in your closet for a skirt that you'll REALLY love!

  15. I think you did a nice job with the pattern mixing...you kept to the same color hues and made the outfit look elegant! I like the pearls, it adds a nice classy touch to the outfit. To keep or not to keep is a difficult question..haha...I think the skirt is cute especially with the adorable little bow but if you think it doesn't represent you anymore then I think it should make way for other pieces that you enjoy! Have a fun weekend Mica, thanks for all your lovely comments, they make my day!
