Printed Wrap Dresses and Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Speedy Bandouliere Bag for the Office

My third trimester work outfits are starting to get very repetitive! Although I do have maternity pencil skirts and tops, I've been falling back on the easy office wear option of a wrap dress frequently. I wore my damier ebene speedy bag with both outfits as I don't feel the checkered print competes too much with the prints on the dresses.

What I wore:

NecklaceTiffany diamonds by the yard necklace
Dress: Soon Maternity 'Madeline' grey print wrap dress
Singlet (under dress): Target grey marle tank top
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bracelets: the usual plus JORD black Fieldcrest wood watch (C/O)
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere

Why I wore it:

This dress has definitely been my most worn office wear this pregnancy! I'm so glad I bought it during my last pregnancy. I think wearing something once a week is perfectly acceptable in pregnancy, especially in the last trimester.

I've fallen into a third trimester pregnancy capsule wardrobe as the baby bump outgrows most things I own, so I'll need to do a post about that. This dress is one of the key pieces.

Last worn: Soon Maternity wrap dress, grey singlet, gold mouse flats, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere bag.

Other ways to wearwrap dress and Chloe Paddington, grey singlet and denim shorts, gold mouse flats and a pencil skirt, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere bag and denim shorts.

Bracelets: the usual plus JORD black Fieldcrest wood watch (C/O)

Why I wore it:

As I mentioned last time I wore this dress, being a non-maternity piece I'm trying to get as much wear from it as possible before the baby bump outgrows it. I was pleased I could squeeze in another wear.

When I was planning in the evening what to wear the next day, I was thinking of a different singlet to wear under this dress and thought that my turquoise one would look nice and match the print. I noticed in the morning that it didn't really match like I thought it would, it's more green than blue. Wore it anyway as I was running late and couldn't be bothered grabbing another top! It did bug me a little through the day though.

  1. I don't think they're getting repetitive at all! And even if they were, it's only natural because I can only imagine how hard it must be to fit in anything that makes you feel comfortable and be able to move around. I think dresses look beautiful on you and your belly. My favourite out of the two has to be the grey print wrap dress. Stunning!

  4. I have outgrown almost every piece in my collection, so I totally agree: Wearing the same thing once a week is completely acceptable. Anything else would be a huge waste of money.

  11. I love both looks, Mica! Wrap dresses are so easy and figure flattering, which is why I love them so much! I think it's great that you were able to wear the first dress from your last pregnancy. I've never been pregnant before, but I've heard many women say that they try to avoid purchasing maternity clothes because it doesn't make sense to them financially. I, however, disagree, if you plan on having more than one child. I intend on investing in pieces, like a wrap dress (or six ;) because it makes more sense as you can get so many wears out of them throughout all of your pregnancies, like you've done with your pieces. As for your second look, I actually think the tank matches perfectly! It looks just like the color in the print. Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful mama :) I hope you're having the best start to your week so far!

    1. Thanks Jalisa! I've certainly kept my maternity clothing spending to a minimum, but being pregnant over the different seasons has meant buying a few pieces that work for summer that I didn't have before :)

  15. Well, I often wear the same thing and I don't even have the excuse of being pregnant, so there's that. I particularly like the second dress, the print is very cheerful. I personally don't think the tank clashes, but I certainly know the feeling of an outfit bothering you throughout the day. Been there!

  44. The Damier print really compliments your dress. In fact I think you'd be hard pressed to find something that wouldn't work with it. Then again florals would probably be ghastly with it. Certain ones at least. And your last dress, I quite like that green singlet paired with the dress. Your photos at least, it works well with the turquoise.
