Necklace: Dogeared silver wishbone necklace
Top: Jeanswest 'Marion' grey textured crew neck knit (new purchase)
Skirt: Target black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
This top is one I ordered from the Jeanswest sale a while back for 40% off, I just had to take it to the tailor to have the sleeves shortened a bit. I like it with the sleeves rolled up a little, but the original sleeves were much too long and it just created a lot of bulk.
It's a nice light knit that kept me cosy on Monday as I had a browse in the local op-shops (thrift stores). Found some great blazers. Can't button them with the baby bump in the way - I don't actually think I have anything I can button over the bump now - but they should hopefully button up after baby's arrival.
Last worn: stripe maxi skirt, Havaianas, Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita bag. First time I've worn the top as it's a recent purchase.
Here's what I wore today:
Jacket: Zara frayed basket weave blazer with zips in red
Necklace: Roie Designs pearl and antique gold long necklace
Singlet: Glassons striped tank in black and white
Skirt: Target grey marle maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Another maxi skirt outfit! I'm starting to really see the pregnancy 'uniform' coming out now I don't have to worry about dressing professionally for work. In this last month of pregnancy, comfort wins every time.
Did try to add a bit of interest by wearing a striped top with the tweed blazer, but it's still that fitted top and maxi skirt combo I've been wearing so often. Had lunch with my mum today and attended another check-up for baby, so this was a nice comfy outfit. Didn't realise it was the inverse of yesterday's outfit (grey on the bottom, black and white stripes on top this time) until I was uploading the photos! I've been wearing a lot of grey lately. There may be more grey than blue in my wardrobe now!
Last worn: Zara tweed blazer, Glassons stripe tank, Target grey maxi skirt, Havaianas (see above), MbMJ Ukita (see above).

Looking lovely, is your hospital 'handbag' packed? Xxx
ReplyDeleteI have everything I need to go in it, but haven't actually packed it yet, haha! I should get around to it soon :)
DeleteGreat look, love the jacket and top!

Hahaha that is so funny; I didn't realise until I read the bit about switching top and bottom but I scrolled back up and it literally looks like someone went on photoshop or something and changed your bottom and top! I hope if I ever have kids I look as chic and as glowing as you do; you always look so lovely, but casual, and very well put together. Don't tell me you have a stylist. ;) Rosemary x

Thanks Rosemary! I'd love to have a stylist - then I wouldn't end up wearing such similar outfits every day and I'd never have a boring or bad outfit....I can dream! haha! :)
DeleteThat is such a great jacket! It looks fantastic with stripes! You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI was pregnant 7 months ago! You look gorgeous!:)

DeleteI love how you've accessorised with orange! It's my favourite accent colour with grey.

the stripes look great with the tweed jacket. I love how you still aim to try new things during pregnancy and not just settle on one maternity look! :)
ReplyDeleteMetallic Paws Giveaway up on my blog!
It's easier now I don't have to go to work every day - I can give more things a try. Only got a little while longer with the bump, want to have fun dressing it and try new things! :)
DeleteI'm yet to develop a pregnancy uniform - but it sounds like a good idea. I think it will naturally develop as the last of my clothes fit :)
ReplyDeletehaha yes, the "not until after baby" section of the wardrobe grows larger every day. Fewer clothes to wear makes it easier to get dressed though I think! :)
DeleteI love the jacket, it look so chic on you.

Love that blazer! What an easy way to make a non-maternity piece work - just leave it unbuttoned :)
ReplyDeletewww.fashionistastyle1.blogspot.com
Yep, no chance of buttoning anything over the baby bump! And to think before pregnancy I used to wonder how maternity jackets and cardis could possibly be different from regular non-maternity ones.....I know now!
DeleteThat bag is the perfect summer red color! (It also matches the leash! Awesome!)
ReplyDeleteLove the jacket and bag! Red look amazing on you!

Wow! You're looking great! I love that you can mix non-maternity clothes with maternity ones :) Jersey was my best friend when I was pregnant! (It still is... Wash and wear makes life easier as a mamma bear). Love that you're op-shopping. So many bargains to be had! Kids clothes are great to get - usually up to sizes 0 or 1 are still new or in as-new condition.
ReplyDeleteYes op-shopping is great! Although I don't always get a good find, I enjoy browsing anyway :)
DeleteI'm enjoying still being able to wear non-maternity pieces, and to use my existing wardrobe as much as possible in pregnancy.
Thank you all for your kind comments! :)
