Jacket: Zara frayed basket weave cardigan in blue
Necklace: custom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Tee: Spectrum basic v-neck tee in grey marl
Skirt: Asos graphic print pencil skirt - on sale! (maternity version here)
Shoes: Wittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Balenciaga coated stud wrap bracelet in icy blue
Bag: Balenciaga giant hardware Day bag in 2009 tempete
Grey tee and pencil skirt for a nice easy work outfit. Added the cosy jacket to keep me warm in the morning, as it's starting to get a little chilly. I think it dressed up the tee and skirt combination nicely too. And because I'm still feeling unimaginative with wardrobe options, my Balenciaga day bag again, haha! It's great that this bag goes with so much, as I'm wearing it with everything!
Think the photo doesn't do this outfit justice - I felt really great in this, but I was in a bit of a rush taking photos.
Last worn: Zara blazer, grey tee, Asos maternity pencil skirt, Wittner flats, Balenciaga tempete day bag.
Here's what I wore to work today:
Scarf: Cotton On animal print scarf in blue
Necklace: Dogeared 3 Wishes stardust bead necklace
Dress: burgundy button sash maternity dress C/O Pink Blush Maternity
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Balenciaga giant hardware Day bag in 2009 tempete
Simple dress for work. I love how easy maternity dresses are to wear! Wanted to be warm so added a big cosy scarf. Almost disguises the baby bump.
Wasn't too sure about the burgundy and blue together at first, but I think it looked okay in the end. What do you think?

I really like the burgundy & blue! I've never been to Australia, is it getting on for winter down there as we are heading towards summer up here?
ReplyDeleteYep, we are in Autumn at the moment :)
Deleteyour zara blazer definitely dresses up the first outfit! i think the blue & burgundy combo works well together -- anything in leopard print seems to work as a neutral!

Thank you :) I've paired cobalt blue and burgundy together before, but never this shade, so I wasn't sure at first :)
DeleteI love the blue and burgundy together - it's really pretty! Great call on the jacket over the tee - it really does elevate this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila! Although I can't close my jackets over the baby bump, I will be wearing them more in these last few weeks of work I think.
DeleteMica, I'm loving that dress from Pink Blush Maternity. Looks awesome on you and that scarf is superb with it. Loving that jacket in the first set of pics.

DeleteI like the burgundy! I really think the Day bag practically goes with everything haha. That Zara blazer hs beautiful! Very Chanel-esque!
ReplyDeleteIt does remind me of the Chanel ones! I had to buy two, haha. Such a splurge!
DeleteThe burgundy and blue was a nice contrast, I think! Your little doggie always makes me smile in the photos, ha. Hopefully they'll be no jealous when baby Mica arrives!

Thanks Corinne! We've had some advice from a dog trainer about making sure Cooper isn't too upset when baby arrives home so hopefully all goes well. :) He's a little unsure around children and we don't know if he's ever seen a baby before (we adopted him) so we got some advice to be sure we introduce them well.
Deletelove that asos skirt!

I love what you wore to work. The eggplant color of that dress suits your fair skin and I love the scarf. On the first outfit I always love when you wear that skirt. Awesome boucle jacket, also.

Enjoy a relaxed weekend, Mica. =)

You're so good at maternity dressing - I am trying to take inspiration as you always look great! Love the blazer - I have often eyed up similar ones in Zara :)
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Hannah! I'm learning as I go along!
DeleteThere's that great Zara jacket again !
ReplyDeleteI had a similar one in my hand this weekend but the price made me put it back in the rack.
I also think you look marvellous in that burgundy dress with the animal print scarf: very chic.
Yep, the price was a bit of a splurge for me, but I bought it when I was in Melbourne and justified the price as we don't have a Zara up here in Queensland so I don't shop there often, hehe!
DeleteThank you all for your kind comments and compliments on the burgundy and blue! :)
ReplyDeletei really love that first outfit. maybe it's all those shades of blue, works so well with the printed skirt! and yeah that colour of the day is a bit like denim isn't it? love it!
