Cosy Cardis, Jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Tote Bag

I've been making more of an effort to wear my cardigans lately. I've mentioned before that they didn't really get worn, just stuffed in my bag or in a drawer at work to be pulled out if the aircon was too cold. In autumn (when I took these pics) I've been loving them as a lighter layer to keep me warmer in cooler mornings, even if I don't wear them much the rest of the year.

What I wore:

AwayFromBlue | purple cardi black tee flares and Converse SAHM jeans outfiy

AwayFromTheBlue | Rebecca Minkoff plum purple mini MAB tote bag
JacketJeanswest Dana drape knit cardi in boysenberry
TeeAtmos&Here rolled sleeve oversize tee in black (also in grey)
JeansJeanswest 'spoylt' flared jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum (on sale in green!)

Why I wore it:

This has to be one of my favourite cardigans. I love the colour and the drape. While the outfit felt a little monochrome with the black tee and the dark denim, I thought the cardigan added some nice colour and I liked the purple bag against it too.

A casual and comfortable outfit with Converse as I spent the morning walking around some local markets with the boys doing some shopping for toddler T's upcoming birthday. I loved everything about this outfit and felt happy and confident all day in it.

Last worn: purple cardigan, black tee, flared jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag.

Other ways to wearpurple cardigan and chambray dress for spring, black tee in the third trimester, flared jeans and a printed tank, Converse for travel, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB and a maxi dress.

What I wore:

Away From Blue | Jeanswest Alice Australian wool cardi striped tank skinny jeans SAHM style

AwayFromTheBlue | Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum faux fur pom pom charm
TankJeanswest 'Josie' striped back strap tank
JeansJeanswest Super Skinny Jeans in Mid Indigo
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs silver tuxedo flats (on sale!)
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum (on sale in pink!)

Why I wore it:

Another simple but comfortable outfit. Baby boy had his vaccinations in the morning and we had someone over in the evening. It was probably not a good idea to schedule both those things on the same day, as I had a very cranky baby to contend with! At least I was happy with my outfit.

Just like the outfit above, this made me feel good. I definitely seem to have hit on a uniform of sorts for the cooler weather - over summer it was shorts and kimonos, now it's cooler it's cardigans and jeans!

Last worn: wool cardigan, striped tank, skinny jeans, silver flats, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearwool cardigan and red jeans, striped tank and leopard print scarf, skinny jeans and pastel pink, silver flats and a wrap dress, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB and a maxi skirt.

  17. You really can't go wrong with a good cardi! I fancy the long ones and when I worked, it was my go-to "jacket" for warmth. Even though it's really not a jacket at all! And ps if you should me the RM bag enough times, I am probably going to have to purchase it! Ah!

  19. I too really like the drape of that first cardigan on you! I totally need one in this similar cut! All of mine are actually cut pretty similar now that I think about it. Time for some diversity!

    Sometimes out favorite outfits are our easiest ones. Who can beat comfort, really? (;

Hope toddler T's birthday was a huge success! (OMG how is he two already?! You were pregnant with him when I started reading your blog!) Also, I hope baby boy's shots went well. It's always so hard watching them go through that!

  22. I love Rebecca Minkoff her accessories are amazing. I use to work in a designer showroom and we sold her bags there and I remember always buying things from her collection because we would get a discount. You look great I love that you wore the same cami but 2 completely different ways. I think thats the best part about fashion being able to mix things up.
