What I wore:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers (on sale!)
Necklace: thrifted pearl and heart charm long necklaceSinglet: Jeanswest 'Jenni' basic singlet in festival fuchsia
Skirt: Izabel London Aztec print maxi skirt (C/O)
Shoes: Balenciaga studded sandals in sorbet RGGH
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum (on sale with 25% off and free shipping at Rebecca Minkoff)
Why I wore it:
More house hunting! I've mentioned it here and there on the blog but finding the perfect house is taking longer than we thought. Anyway, the outfit. This maxi skirt is quite a thick one but it wasn't too warm paired with the berry singlet.I was really wishing I'd picked something different for my feet though. Buckling and unbuckling sandals before entering an open house when pregnant and juggling a toddler is not the easiest thing to do...I ended up leaving the sandals unbuckled by the time we got to the fourth house.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, berry tank, printed maxi skirt, Balenciaga sandals, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote.
Other ways to wear: berry tank and a statement necklace, printed maxi skirt in winter, Balenciaga sandals and skinny jeans, purple Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote with a black dress.

If I wasn't having problems at checkout, the Rebecca Minkoff sale is the one I'd be shopping! I have my eye on the custom bag offerings! Sadly, I can't get past the shipping stage without getting an error. I've emailed but still haven't heard back.
What I wore:
Jacket: Shein cream lace kimono (C/O)
Necklace: Roie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklaceTank: Jeanswest Jenni basic singlet in Emerald green
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with python embossed leather in aquamarine (on sale with 25% off and free shipping at Rebecca Minkoff)
Why I wore it:
It was a slightly cooler day than the one above, so I took the chance to add a kimono over the singlet and maxi skirt combo to try make it a little different.I've worn this singlet and skirt together before, just with different accessories, and no kimono or baby belly. It's a nice simple combination. I don't wear a lot of green, so this singlet hasn't been worn often, but I'm being much more adventurous with colours after my wardrobe detox session with a personal stylist and I even went out and got a similar shade of green in a maternity tank.
Last worn: lace kimono, green singlet, black jersey maxi skirt, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC.
Other ways to wear: lace kimono and a chambray dress, green singlet at 39 weeks pregnant, maxi skirt and a graphic tee, Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC and skinny jeans in winter.
Wrapping up this post with my monthly purchases (can you believe November is almost over?!). I bought a lot of Christmas presents for others this month, and stocked up on maternity wear for summer in the Jeanswest 40% off sale.
What I added to my wardrobe in November:
- Jeanswest Georgie maternity boyfriend shorts - $31.49
- Jeanswest maternity tank ( in black, white and sea glass) - $8.99 each
- Thrifted Target wrap dress - $1!
- Jeanswest Nikki printed shirt dress - $35.99

Love from www.trangscorner.com {a lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and food blog}
It's such a great idea to a wear simple, block colour top with a patterned bottom half such as the first maxi skirt you chose! Can't wait to see if baby has their mothers style!

Thanks! I do like print mixing, but wearing plain pieces with a printed piece I probably do most often :)
DeleteFinding the perfect place is very time-consuming! We recently bought a house and it took us long enough to figure out what we wanted.
ReplyDeleteLinda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking
Congrats on your new house! :)
DeleteWe've narrowed down what we want, we just haven't found it yet, haha! One day we will :)
You look so lovely in your maxi skirts!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfits, especially the first one - I adore the pop of colour! :) I hope you find your perfect house soon, lovely - I know it can take a while, it took my parents two years but they're very happy now. :) x

It would be nice, but it might not happen!

Straight A Style
I didn't realise it wasn't normal to take your shoes off elsewhere until I read my comments, haha! I thought it was normal everywhere, to keep the house clean and show you were respecting the place?
DeleteI love the necklace combo in your second outfit! And that green is such a lovely color on you :D
ReplyDeleteYea, I feel like when I finally look for a house to buy I'll be SUPER picky, haha. But for now I've just rented a few places so its not as big of a deal.
http://www.closet-fashionista.com/
I think even renting can be tricky sometimes! But you're right, we know what we want and we are definitely super picky! Just waiting on that perfect place.
DeleteGood luck on the house hunting!! I can imagine how tiring it must get searching while pregnant. Love you purple RM bag, especially the color. I am not surprised you had issues checking out, a lot of the sites are unfortunately not well equipped to handle the traffic..bummer.
ReplyDeleteYes it's a shame I couldn't checkout, I've never had issues before :( Oh well, just wasn't meant to be. Not like I'm running out of bags anyway, ha!
DeleteLove how your styled your super cute bump in maxi skirts! you look great.

It does take time and patience to seek the right home, and I don't like to rush about it so I understand. Your outfit looks nice, I liked the pink tank with the patterned skirt.
ReplyDeleteFrenchie Christmas
Yes definitely better not to rush and to wait for the perfect place! No matter how many months it takes...
DeleteBring on the maxi skirts and long tanks. I lived in those!
ReplyDeleteYour SAHM Maternity style is lovely. You always rock a tank top with a maxi skirt, for Summer. When is the baby due, Mica?
ReplyDeleteYep it's a great option for a hot day! :) Baby's due in March :)
DeleteI love all your looks! Effortlessly chic and compliments your baby bump :)

I do have a few bags ;)
DeleteLovely looks! The second one is my favorite! The colour looks good on you. :)

Thanks for you last comment on my blog. I feel your pain. I hope you guys manage to find something soonish. It's hell out there. I had a little giggle over the sandals, I made that mistake many moons ago. And it's one of the things I despise most about looking for a place. I get so paranoid and think someone is going to steal my shoes like that episode from SATC. Granted I don't wear Manolo's to open houses but still!

haha yes I'll often point out the designer shoes to hubby as we go inside - you do see some fancy ones when house hunting! usually the agent hovers so close to the door here to get all your personal info that no-one would run off with them, but it is a slight inconvenience taking your shoes off and on all day to house hunt!
DeleteThose tanks are absolutely beautiful for spring! I love that I'm now in a climate where I can wear these things all year long. :D
ReplyDeleteConnie | Sponsored by Coffee | Etsy
I really like how you always have your outfits somewhat color coded, it makes your outfits so put together! I'm not a fan of shoes that take forever to take off either - mainly because I'm really lazy and don't want to bend down haha!

I never really thought of it that way, but I guess I do match my colours a bit!

I do hope the perfect home for you and your growing family happens soon. (: I know how long you've been hunting. I really try to stay away from any shoe that doesn't just slip on. Even my tennis shoes are slip on. (; I'm super lazy, can't you tell? Hopefully, next time around I'll be pregnant in the warmer months. It was so hard to stay warm that by the end, I was recycling the same maternity tops and sweater cardigans. Keeping singlets and skirts in mind.
ReplyDeleteSinglets and skirts are great - pregnant or not, haha! It's definitely pretty hot being pregnant over summer but I think I'm lucky as I can imagine layering is hard in winter having to get multiple pieces that fit the bump! I'm eventually going to reach a point where I can't buckle or tie shoes and it will be slip ons all the way, bump is getting big! :)
DeleteI love the green on you!!! That sucks you had to take your shoes off going in and out of houses too!! That would be annoying, even without being pregnant with a toddler so I can only imagine how much more so with that too! XO

Wearing bright and colourful clothes is such a good thing in Summer! Sometimes, it's better to see others wearing cheerful ootd apart from monochrome like mine lol Anyway, good luck at the house hunting!

Deletelove your skirt. Purple and pink just goes perfect :)

Good luck with your house hunting - that can be such a challenge and there are always so many factors to consider.
ReplyDeleteYou really had to take your shoes off to see every house?! That is definitely not common around here and when Sean and I were briefly indulging the idea of buying a home this summer we both broke venetian blinds in two different houses we saw O_O.
Chic on the Cheap
haha a few times we've wanted to move or lift blinds and stopped as we weren't sure how they worked! :) Yep, we almost always take our shoes off before entering a house here. We usually do it when visiting friends/family here too, just an Aussie thing maybe!
DeleteOoo, I love how colorful your tops are! They're so bright and cheery. They definitely put a smile on my face :)
ReplyDeleteSartorial Diner
Did you try using another browser for your RM purchase? My Shopbop wouldn't go through until I used IE instead of Chrome.
ReplyDeleteI did! And a different computer (can you say desparate?! ha!) They were having issues with international checkouts, sadly I couldn't get the bag I wanted at all.
DeleteThank you all for your comments - and good wishes for our house hunting!
ReplyDeleteThose colorful tanks look great with those maxi skirts. It's important to find the right home that fits your families life. Take all the time you need. It's a big investment.
