What I wore:
Jacket: Jeanswest Peggie kimono cardigan in purple mulberry marle
Top: Monsterthreads star print graphic teeSkirt: Target grey marle maxi skirt
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
I really liked this outfit! I've mentioned before how much I love the tee (a gift from my bestie) and I thought the purple cardi and the grey skirt worked nicely with the navy. I was really comfortable and happy in this all day. Just had some errands to run in the morning, and a checkup at the doctors with baby T.Last worn: purple cardigan, navy tee, grey maxi skirt, black ballet flats, Louis Vuitton neverfull.
Other ways to wear: purple cardigan and a printed dress, graphic tee and a blazer, grey maxi skirt and yellow tank, black flats and a printed dress, Louis Vuitton neverfull in the office.
More fun graphic tees:
What I wore:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers
Jacket: Juicy Couture Long Sleeve Original Zip Hoodie in 'Silver Lining'
Tee: Threadless 'Stone Jungle' teeJacket: Juicy Couture Long Sleeve Original Zip Hoodie in 'Silver Lining'
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with python embossed leather in aquamarine
Why I wore it:
This is a good example of how just changing one piece of an outfit can make it look really different. I think the grey hoodie dresses the outfit down and makes it a lot more casual than the outfit above with the cardigan. Still just as comfortable though, and perfect for a morning at playgroup with toddler T.This Threadless tee hasn't been worn in over 3 and a half years (the length of time I've been blogging what I wear). I went through my huge box of Threadless tees and sold the majority on ebay a while back, but I kept this one as it was one of the first few I ordered, and I don't have a lot of green in my wardrobe. I don't have a lot of green as I don't wear it often...as the long time between wears for this tee shows! I'm still keeping it, too sentimental to let go. At least I sold the 20+ other ones I hadn't been wearing, to justify keeping this one.
Last worn: Ray-ban Wayfarers, grey hoodie, black jersey maxi skirt, black ballet flats (above), Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC.
Other ways to wear: grey hoodie and jeans for a newborn photoshoot, maxi skirt and Converse, ballet flats and skinny jeans, Rebecca mini MAC and a maxi dress.

That moon print tshit is so well paired with that maxi skirt....great colour coorination there and the same can be said for the second outfit with that lovely green tshirt and bag. Great outfits, both of them. You wear maxi skirts (and printed tees) well!

Threadless tees are addicting! I had to just stop buying them - and now I just wear them around the house and sleep in them. Love both these casual looks, Mica!
ReplyDeleteYes I had SO MANY at one point! They are very addicting! I hardly wear the few I do have left, need to make more of an effort!
DeleteI absolutely love the black maxi and green tshirt outfit!! The color of the tee is beautiful on you!! Cannot believe summer is over for us here..and spring has begun for you...soon I will be back to wallowing in the bone chilling midwestern winter that we normally get..haha..
ReplyDeletehaha yeah getting up with a newborn in the middle of a cold winter's night isn't the easiest thing! Hope you can layer up and stay cosy! It's a good excuse for lots of cuddle time with your beautiful new baby :)
DeleteI love the moon graphic tee and the bright green color of the second one. Nice handbags, also. =)
ReplyDeleteCute tee in the first outfit, Mica! I´m crushing on that green bag you´re wearing.

This is one of the first lessons I learned from Audrey of Putting Me Together--how making simple changes to your outfit can change the whole look. There was a picture of her in her Rainbow sandals, graphic tee, flared jeans, and a hoodie. She swapped the flip flops for strappy sandals, skinny jeans, and a cardigan. So much dressier!
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how easy it is to just change one or two pieces and have a completely different look. That's why I like accessories! :)
DeleteYou look great. I love your tee with the moon print.
ReplyDeleteI like both outfits! Fun tees!
ReplyDeleteMica, though that threadless teehave rested being worn for over 3 years, it still looks nice and never runs out of style.

Definitely! I'm lucky to have a friend with such great taste! :)
DeleteI love pairing printed tees with cardi's. I haven't done this in ages myself, I used to a lot when I was younger and it kind of makes me miss those days. I'm going to have to incorporate this somehow. First I need to amp up my game on printed tees lol!

I used to wear graphic tees all the time too - with flared jeans! those were the days, haha! I have much less graphic tees now than what I used to, I rarely wear them!
DeleteI think prints suit you very well, Mica! Those can highlight every simple outfit. Love the versatility of your styling. Hope Toddler T is ok?! Have a great day, Mica!

Aww thank you Ira! He is fine, it was just a little checkup to confirm that he'd gotten over his recent viral infection. It's been winter so there has been a lot going around sadly!
DeleteYou are rocking the maxi skirts! I haven't been blogging for quite some time I lost track of what happened. What happened to your leg/legs dear Mica?
ReplyDeleteI was involved in a bus accident on the way to work a few weeks ago. Nothing serious, just tissue damage, so I'm doing a course of physio to get better! :)
DeleteI too love a good tee and cardigan combo. Which I'll totally get to do this weekend due to the cool temps. (: I can't seem to make the maxi skirts work for me though. I literally tried so many on last weekend and no luck. I will forever be jealous of your ability to rock a maxi. (;
ReplyDeleteHopefully you find the perfect one! You look great in your dresses though so if you find something else that works for you, stick with it I say! :)
DeleteYou just remind me that I really don't have many graphic tees. I like them, especially here worn with your cardigan. The green colour suits you as well. Nice way to change up an outfit for a more casual look. <3 /Madison

I always love how you think out of the box Mica. I constantly put graphic tees with jeans and now you've taught me to mix it up with a maxi skirt. Looks so cool together. And what a nice gift from your friend.

I think some of the best clothing items are gifts because then they remind you of the person!

You're right! They are wonderful gifts for that very reason! :)
DeleteI am loving that moon print on the first top! It's so beautiful. I've been obsessing over everything that has to do with the sky, galaxy and moon phases.

I haven't worn a graphic tee for ever but I am still clinging to my old favourites out of sentimentality . . . maybe they'll be vintage one day for my daughter!
ReplyDeletehaha yes! When I got this tee I got given a little set for then baby T too, they were just a bit big for him. I can't wait for him to grow into them so we can wear our tees together! :)
DeleteThank you all for your thoughtful comments :)
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting more green in my wardrobe. This green tee looks fab on you!
