Grey and Stripes! More Maxi Skirt Outfits

More maxi skirts! Wore maxi skirts two days in a row. I do love them :)

Here's what I wore to spend the day with my family:
Summer Brushstroke pink tank grey jersey maxi skirt LV speedy B casual outfit
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: Nibbly Bits Abacus necklace in pop
SingletJeanswest 'Hannah' print tank in paradise pink multi
SkirtTarget grey marle maxi skirt
Shoes:  black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes Kelly double tour bracelet in rubis
Bag:  Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere (with Coach feather bag charm)

Crazy hair that happens when you throw a necklace on top before you rush out the door and don't pull your hair out from under it, haha! I didn't even notice until looking at the pics on the computer later.

The style challenge was to 'post a picture of someone who looks nice', which meant I didn't have to dress to an outfit prompt and could wear what I wanted for the day. I really enjoyed being able to choose what to wear for a change!  As I was spending the day with my family and grandparents, I just went for comfortable pieces. This tank is an oldie that doesn't get worn often.  Last time I wore it I was pregnant and I remember trying on so many different outfits trying to find one to disguise my tiny baby bump for lunch with friends. (We were keeping baby T a secret until we could surprise our families on Christmas day.) I did try to wear it again in the second trimester, but the baby bump had outgrown it then so it got pushed to the back of the wardrobe.

I found when I did my wardrobe inventory that I have a lot of tops, so tops I do love tend to get hidden in my wardrobe. I'm going to have to get tougher with what tops I keep so that I can wear the pieces I really love more frequently!

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarersbrushstroke stripe tank, grey maxi skirt, Havaianas, Louis Vuitton Speedy B.

Here's what I wore to go into the city:
Aussie Blogger Favourite Outfit SAHM Grey tee target black white striped maxi skirt
Necklace: Nibbly Bits Abacus necklace in pop
TeeAtmos&Here charcoal grey v neck tee
SkirtTarget black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag:  Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere (with Coach feather bag charm)

Took my grandparents out for lunch in the city, and then spent time with my mother in law for the afternoon. The style challenge for the day was to 'wear your favourite outfit all day'. I wear the grey tee and maxi skirt combination often, it's definitely the most comfortable outfit! Grey, stripes and a maxi skirt is outfit perfection to me! I even paired this maxi skirt with a grey tee last time I wore it too. This grey tee has to be my favourite of all the ones I own. I wish I had bought a backup of it as Atmos & Here don't make this style anymore sadly.

Wearing that teething necklace again! I'm out and about with baby T a lot, spending time with my grandparents who are visiting, so it's helpful to have something for him to play with without having to dig through the baby bag for a toy. These necklaces are great when eating meals too, I can keep baby T amused and he's less likely to try and grab everyone's food.

Last worn: grey tee, striped maxi skirt, Havaianas (above), Louis Vuitton Speedy B (above).

  3. Love both of these! My favorite out of the two is the second one; something about light hair and grey / black looks fabulous to me.

  4. I love a good maxi skirt and I love that striped one you wear (how many times have I sung it's praises now lol). I love the teething necklace idea. I'll have to mention this neat trick to a friend of mine. Her son is always reaching and wanting things in his mouth!

  8. Love the gray skirt! You look fab in both outfits, as usual. I often don't discover some wonky thing my hair is doing until I load the shots on to my computer. :)

    1. That is such good advice Sheila! :) And something I need to put into practice, as I have too many 'just okay' pieces that crowd out the pieces I love!

  18. Hello Mica! Love the two outfits you created wearing different maxi skirts. Very relaxed but super chic looks that I can see myself wearing to go shopping or to lunch with my better half. I had to look twice at your picture after I finished reading the entire post. When I read "teething necklace" I was like, OMG! That is so cool!!! And I had to back to the picture to look at it again. That is the coolest idea and I wish I had one of those when my girls were babies... it would had made my outings with them so much easier! Thanks for sharing Mica and blessings to you and baby T. 19. Both outfits are really pretty. I like both maxi skirts...the grey one you paired well with the colourful tank with stripes...and the maxi with stripes was well paired with a grey top. I can even imagine maxi with stripes being paired with a colourful top and the grey one with grey top, so I see another two stylish possibilities here:)

Anyhow, you look really lovely and pretty.

....and that teething necklace is pretty cool:)

p.s. I didn't feed the ducks on that occasion, but I do it pretty often.
