Grey Tee, Denim Shorts, Acne Pistol Boots | Teal Henley, Striped Skirt, Patent Mouse Flats

Two more outfits created using items from the "wear after baby arrives" box I added to as I outgrew clothes in my wardrobe after pregnancy.

Here's what I wore to spend the day with DH and baby T:
Acne Pistol boots, grey tee and denim shorts
SunniesRayban new Wayfarers
TeeAtmos&Here grey Arizona zip tee (on sale!)
Shorts: Jeanswest denim cuff shorts
Shoes: Acne pistol boots in "skin"

With the spring weather heating up, I wanted to quickly take advantage of the chance to wear shorts and boots together! I really like the combination of shorts and ankle boots, but it's not something you can wear year-round. I actually think I missed my chance, I was getting a little warm with the long sleeved tee in the heat of the day. Maybe with a tank next time.

After I had worn this, I stumbled across Alice from Happiness at Mid-Life wearing a similar designed top, but layering a bright tank underneath and having the zips undone to show the colourful tank peeking through. Such a great way to wear a zip-detail top! Definitely want to give it a go with this tee as soon as we have a cooler day.

Last worn: grey zip detail tee, denim shorts, Acne Pistol boots.

Here's what I wore to go out for lunch:
Jeanswest teal henley shirt french connection striped gathered pencil skirt
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Shirt:  Jeanswest 'Aubrey' pintuck yoke henley in deep teal (on sale!)
SkirtFrench Connection 'Abby' twisted skirt
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs mouse flats in black patent leather

I bought this skirt back in the second trimester when I felt I was running out of nice pencil skirts to wear to the office. Most of my pencil skirts are fixed waist, only a few were elasticated, so this elasticated waist skirt seemed like a great idea. Despite only managing to wear it a few times before the baby bump got too big, I also reasoned I could get my money's worth by wearing it casually as well after baby arrived. I felt rather over-dressed in this outfit though, felt much too similar to something I'd wear to the office. It's almost an identical outfit to the previous time I wore it to work, just with a different coloured top. Same shoes and everything! I didn't realise that when I wore it, just when I looked up the last wearing of the skirt.

While it was great to get this skirt out again and wear it without a baby bump, I think I'll need to try harder next time I wear it to dress it down and make the look a little less office-like. I have such a hard time wearing pencil skirts outside of work, as I wear them so casually in the office anyway! Do you have any ideas for how to make it more casual? A tank or denim jacket was suggested last time, maybe I should try that next time.

Last worn: teal henley, striped skirt, patent mouse flats.

Statement Denim Outfits - Blue and Purple, Metallic Gold and Mixed Print Shirt. Monthly Purchases

Just like Monday's post, getting a little uninspired with my outfit choices and I wore jeans twice in a row! Coloured jeans for a bit of interest, but still sticking with the comfy denim!

Here's what I wore to spend the day with my mum:
Blue and Purple Sheer Stripe Tee layered tank skinny jeans Spring outfit
TeeAtmos&Here 'Cara' mesh panel tee (on sale!)
Tank: Jeanswest 'Jenni' basic singlet in Hawaii blue
JeansJeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs

Wore this to spend the day with my mum, and a slightly grouchy baby T! It was a cooler, overcast day so I layered up a little with this sheer stripe tee over a tank. First time I've ever worn this tank without a baby bump! I was in my second trimester last time I wore it.

I really like wearing blue and purple together, I've worn this combination before frequently with these jeans. The one thing I didn't like in this outfit was the stripe tee. It was one of my July purchases, right back when I started sharing my purchases and trying to be more careful to only buy things I'd actually use. Since July, this is only it's third wear. While I do like it with jeans, much more than it worn with maxi skirts, it was a bit warm despite the cooler day. With the weather warming up more too it's unlikely I'll get a lot more days to wear it this year, so it would be sitting in my wardrobe for a long time before it would get worn again. Given the limited ways I can wear it, and the limited time I'll have left to wear it, I don't think it's going to be a frequently reached for piece. I did consider this in my purchase review after wearing it twice, but I held onto it then, thinking I might still get lots of wear out of it. Today it's leaving my wardrobe, going into the donate pile, and serving as a lesson to myself to really think things through before I buy them! Not a great cost-per-wear.

Slowly but surely, I'll work my way through wearing all the items in my wardrobe and end up with a wardrobe full of things I love to wear and can wear in multiple ways!

Last worn: blue tank, sheer stripe tee, purple skinny jeans, Havaianas.

Here's what I wore to meet my mothers group and run errands:
Spring Outfit Sass and Bide Metallic skinny jeans Jeanswest mixed print shirt
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
NecklaceDogeared 3 Wishes stardust bead necklace layered with vintage gold initial necklace
ShirtJeanswest 'Ruby' mixed print shirt
JeansSass and Bide 'Three Words' metallic gold jeans
Shoes: Cotton On thin strap thongs in black
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Unlike the previous outfit, I loved everything about this one! The sleeves on the shirt were a little frustrating to me through the day, but only as I was in a rush in the morning and hadn't taken the time to roll them up properly.

Wore this shirt for a busy day! Caught up with some of the ladies in my mother's group in the morning, and then had to run around fitting in as many errands as I could. No matter what time I go, there always seems to be a huge line at the bank.....thankfully we got home in time for my mother in law's visit that afternoon.

Grey Tees, Striped Maxi Skirts Outfits, ASOS Sale Code

Twice in a row, wearing grey tees and striped maxi skirts! Created two slightly different outfits despite following the same formula.

Here's what I wore to spend the afternoon with family:
Atmos&Here grey tee striped maxi skirt casual outfit SAHM
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
TeeAtmos&Here grey v-neck tee with rolled sleeves
SkirtAT by Atmos&Here Mars striped maxi skirt
Shoes:  black slim Havaianas thongs

Grey tee and maxi skirt - a wonderful outfit combination! This is something I quickly put on when hubby got a call and announced we had some unexpected visitors on their way, while we rushed around trying to clean up the house a little more, hehe! I paired this maxi skirt with a grey tee last time I wore it too, but it seems to go perfectly with anything I wear it with. Both these pieces are definite keepers.

I did wish I'd worn a necklace with this, the low neckline is so pretty with a necklace, but I didn't think about that until after I saw the pictures. Did leave baby T one less thing to grab though, which was nice.

Last worn: Ray-ban Wayfarers, grey tee, striped maxi skirt, Havianas.

Here's what I wore to go out to the post office with baby T:
Jeanswest grey tee striped pleated maxi skirt half tuck to side
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Tee: Jeanswest rolled sleeve grey marle tee
Skirt: thrifted black and white pleated striped maxi skirt from AWLQ jumble sale
Shoes:  black slim Havaianas thongs

I liked the striped maxi, grey tee combo so wore it again! This time half-tucking my shirt on the side instead of in the front, for a bit of a different look. I have a tiny torso as I'm petite, so I half-tuck my clothes a lot, I just don't think I've tried it to the side like this before. Not sure if I'll wear it like this again, as I was tugging at it a bit through the day, but it was good to be a little bit different in the way I wear my tops.

This Jeanswest tee hasn't been worn in 3 years! It's coming up to my 3 year 'blogiversary' in January, and I was taking almost daily photos for a while before blogging. I can't find when I wore it last, so I am fairly certain it's just been sitting there unworn for that long. It's survived multiple wardrobe clearouts, as every time I looked at it I could never throw away a good grey tee that "I wear all the time". Ha! Funny how I can still be surprised by the unworn items hanging in my wardrobe. No reason this grey tee shouldn't get as much wear as the others, it's cute and comfy. It's staying in my wardrobe, but I'm going to make an effort to wear it more. Perhaps the over abundance of grey tees I own is the reason this one hasn't popped up in the rotation yet....which is another problem...... ;)

Last worn: Wayfarer (see above), striped maxi skirt, Havaianas (see above). First time I've worn this old tee on the blog.
