Here's what I wore for a playdate:
Necklace: vintage gold initial necklace
Dress: Jeanswest 'Ruby' mixed print shirt
Shorts: Jeanswest black denim cuff shorts
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Balenciaga Coquelicot Velo
Decided to catch up with some other mums and bubs I hadn't seen in a while and have a little playdate. All our babies are crawling, so we can meet at indoor playgrounds and just let them crawl around and tire each other out before nap time!
One of the ladies suggested a play place I'd never been too before. It was really fun. They had a little baby area with a tiny little ball pit, baby T loved it! The best bit was that it was early in the morning so it was quite quiet, and we could have a chat too.
I wanted something cool but comfortable, so I went with a shirt and shorts. We had to wear socks for the play area so I went with Converse. I wore something really similar to this outfit before, just with a different shirt. The style challenge was 'shades of grey' so I thought this grey shirt worked nicely! And the red bag for a bit of colour.
Last worn: mixed print shirt, black denim shorts, Converse, Balenciaga Coquelicot velo.
Here's what I wore to have another baby free day today:
Dress: Atmos & Here Willow printed tee dress
Shoes: Acne pistol boots in "skin"
Bracelets: the usual plus JORD black Fieldcrest wood watch C/O JORD Watches
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with python embossed leather in aquamarine
The style challenge for the day was 'back to nature' with botanical prints one of the suggested ideas. I thought this printed tee dress would be perfect. And quite matchy-matchy with the aquamarine Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag!
It was Baby T's second day at day care. There were some tears from him this time around, but mostly because he was a bit cranky as he hadn't slept well the night before. He got lots of cuddle time and was feeling much better in the afternoon when I came to pick him up.
Like his first day at day care, I was a little lost without him! Just as I dropped him off, my sister called to say she'd been given the day off so we went out for lunch and a bit of shopping after my haircut. It was really weird being out shopping with her without having to time things around baby's feed or nap times! I've gotten so used to doing everything with baby in tow, going back to work will be a huge change.
Last worn: printed dress, pistol boots, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.
The Atmos & Here tee dress is now sold out, but I've linked up some similar items below.
Linking up with Passion For Fashion, Casual Friday, Fab Favourites, Fashion Cache Friday, Mix It Up Friday today.

It is so hard being away from him! I miss his cute little face! :)
DeleteAh these are so cute! Both your looks so lovely, and I think the color of the dress in the second look looks so great on you! Such a beauty!

You looked marvellous, it is weird sometimes when you are without your children, even though when you're with them, you could do with a break. It is a lost kind of feeling. Gorgeous outfits :)) xx
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a lost kind of feeling, so strange being apart!
DeleteI like how you are sticking to the challenges.
ReplyDeleteI've been doing my own in just trying to justify keeping a garment in the closet - when I am not really sold on it.
I cannot believe baby T had his first day in daycare, it seems like time has flown.
Time really has flown!
DeleteI find challenges are good as they make me hunt through my wardrobe for things to meet the prompts...and I can find little worn pieces that way, so it's easier to see if things should stay or leave my wardrobe. Otherwise I'd end up just re-wearing my favourites over and over :P
A girl after my own heart! I love both looks, the mint blue color is great on you, but I love the B bag in orange, ( have one in pik) and the RM in light blue. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Thanks! It's actually red, maybe just the lighting in the pics that makes it look orange. I used to have an orange Balenciaga, that was so pretty. Pre-blogging though!
DeleteI hope the day care stuff gets easier for you a little baby T.
ReplyDeleteI know I said it last time you wore it in a post, but I LOVE that dress. Those bold prints are so perfect for summer. I have a very floral very summery maxi dress that I'm dying to pull out of my closet this year!
Have a wonderful weekend Mica!
Thanks Kiki! I know it will get easier over time :) Just gotta get used to it! :)
DeleteI do love that dress too, I'm glad you like it as it has been on the blog a lot, haha!
I saw the picture you posted on IG of baby T and the ball pit and his smile said it all!! He is such an adorable cutie pie!! Love both the outfits, easy and perfect for the occasions you chose them for. Play pens and anything involving babies demand hassle free clothing, so shorts are perfect. Have I told you how much I love your B bag collection? :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Aww, thank you! He is such a happy little baby :) I do have quite a B bag collection! I love my bals :)
DeleteIt's good to hear that baby T is slowly getting used to being at day care. Hopefully it's getting easier for mummy as well. In the long run it's probably not a bad thing for him since he gets to learn to be with other babies as well :) Social skill can begin as early as baby T <3 I love the way you dressed with the mini MAC. It's partially your mint mini MAC I decided to try a mini MAC myself but just couldn't get used to the small size. I couldn't even fit my wallet in comfortably. Unfortunately I had to sell it (it's a made in NYC one too, SIGH!)
ReplyDeleteYep, it's good for him to socialise without me on the sidelines fussing over him very 2 minutes, haha! :)
DeleteShame about your mini MAC! I can get my wallet in, but it's a squeeze sometimes!
WOW! You are extremely stylish!

That adult time must have felt so nice! You need that sometimes. Both of these outfits are adorable! Chiffon tops and shorts are my favorite for summer. I can't wait to be able to let me legs out in the sun!

That shirt was perfect for the shades of grey challenge Mica! Such a beautiful print. Those play dates sound like fun and that was cool one of the mothers told you about a new one. Makes for great communication. Love that dress and bag. I have a bag that color that I'm holding onto but haven't found anything to pair it up with.

Oh you should hunt in my archives to see how I've worn that bag! :) http://awayfromtheblue.blogspot.com.au/search?q=%22mini+MAC+aquamarine%22
DeleteI love the color of the bag in the first and that shirt is so so pretty! I also love your dress in the second one. I love the print and colors and I adore your bag! I am sure some adult was a nice change of pace.

So glad you got to spend time with other parents and their kids! Hoping the transition period with Baby T gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in these looks--that bright coral bag is the perfect punch to that casual chic look and the mint coordination in the second look is lovely. Those wedge boots are also so stylish!
Oooooh, I love both of these outfits Mica! That first one is great with the pretty grey blouse and then the pop of bright color with your bag :) You and your bags haha, they're always fantastic! Then of course, that second look with your gorgeous dress and matching mint bag....sigh. Great looks! :D

haha I do love my bags! I'm glad I can use them again, now baby is bigger and I'm more confident carting baby, baby bag, and my handbag around! Although most of the time I do confess it is just clipped onto the stroller when we are out, hehe!
DeleteNice bag !

I love your choice of bold colors to accent your outfit. That orange bag with that gray works!
ReplyDeleteJessica | notjessfashion.com
Thanks! It must be the lighting in the pic, but it's actually red :) But orange would look good too!
Deletethe second dress is so pretty and your bag is perfect with it!

How do you go with swapping bags regularly? I find I am always leaving things behind!
ReplyDeleteI'm used to it I guess! :) I also tend to keep everything organised in my bags in little 'pouches' so I just grab a pouch or two and transfer it between the bags. Got a few videos on my channel showing how it works if you're interested :)

Fantastic! Fun to hear your voice too!
DeleteLove that red Balenciaga purse! Too bad I cannot afford it. LOL

It is a great bag! But there are loads of cute red bags out there at so many different price points! :) If you can save up for it I'd recommend it, but if you'd rather splurge on something other than a handbag, you're sure to find a similar one within your budget :)
DeleteLove the first look! The orange bag adds the perfect pop of color! xo Andrea

Thanks, must be the lighting, it's actually red :)
Deletestunning dress in second outfit but the first in perfect for me!

Lovely outfits! And those bright bags are to die for ;-) I got a rose/nude bag from RM maybe I'll pick a colorful one next time, too!
ReplyDeleteRathana •• FAB FASHIONAIRE
I think bright bags are fun! But only because I have a lot of grey in my wardrobe I guess, easy to find colourful bags to wear with neutral clothes, haha!
Deleteincredible!! i really enjoy both outfits!! i can't wait to start wearing "warmer clothes"

I keep on flip flopping on colourful bags. I want classic bags like black and brown, but I absolutely love the energetic vibe of pops of colour, like how you styled that great red bag!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,

I think if it's something you want to wear all the time, a classic neutral colour is the way to go :) But if you want something to wear now and then, a colour is fun! :)
