Peplum Tank, Lace Pencil Skirt, MbMJ Bags, Myer Giftorium

Just one outfit today as it's a bit of a wordy post! Sharing what I wore to a blogger event at Myer Brisbane:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
NecklaceRoie Designs pearl and antique gold long necklace
TopZalora basics ruffle hem tank in black (on sale)
SkirtLiving Doll Wednesday black lace skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster and Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

You might have seen on instagram or twitter that I was invited along to view the Myer Giftorium last week. The best part was that baby T was invited along too! Although too young to appreciate the magicians or the jugglers, he did enjoy seeing his first live band we were treated to some Christmas carols. I also indulged in a little bit of Christmas shopping. I have so little time to shop now, as I want to spend all my time with baby T, so I figure getting a head start on gifts is a good idea! Even though it is only October....

I wasn't sure what to wear to such an event - I knew I'd have baby T in his stroller for the majority of the time (although I did bring his baby carrier just in case!) so I was rather free to pick what I wanted to wear. I'd wanted to pair this ruffle detail tank top with my maxi skirts when I bought it, but it's just not a flattering look. I thought with a pencil skirt, it looked a lot better!

This pretty lace skirt is one of the skirts I'd put away into a box of "for after baby" clothes that I'd been adding to as I outgrew things in my wardrobe during pregnancy. While there are some things I still don't fit into, I'd put aside a lot of skirts that do fit me again now, and it's perfect weather to start wearing them! Worked out really well! Added the red bag for some colour, and also as it allowed me easy access to my camera even while cuddling baby T.

As it's the second time I've blogged this tank since I purchased it, my purchase review:
While it is something that's fairly limited in what I can pair it with due to the length on my petite frame, I like this tank enough to be glad I purchased it. It's just a little different from a plain black tank with the ruffle hem detail, so it's sure to get lots of wear. I'm pleased I had so many useful items in my monthly purchases this time around, I'm getting closer to my shopping goals.

Now a little bit about the Giftorium!

The Myer Giftorium is set up so that you can do lots of Christmas shopping in one place - they have the area organised into "12 themes of Christmas" to cover everyone on your list. I took some photos of my favourite themes below. Fashionista, Glmaour Gran, Dapper Dad, Miracle Mum....There was even a 'Paws Corner' for shopping for Cooper! They have 'Gifticians' who will help you find the perfect gift if you're stuck for ideas, and 'Producticians' to demonstrate some of the gifts.

Myer have public launch celebrations for the Giftorium on Saturday the 8th November in all stores, with the biggest range and events lined up for the stores in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Definitely worth checking out, even if it's only for soaking up the Christmas spirit!

Last worn: Wayfarersruffle detail tank, lace pencil skirt, black flats, Marc Jacobs Ukita bag, Marc By Marc Jacobs baby bag.

  7. Well I think you looked so very nice Mica, you know I am a fan of that skirt - and how neat that baby T got invited too. I have a cousin who i invited to dinner a few months back and she complained that now that she had a baby girl people did not invite them over anymore.

    1. Oh that's such a shame for your cousin! It's good you could invite her and baby out! Sometimes I'm not up to going out with baby, but it's nice to have the option! :)

  27. I love that baby T was invited too. I'm only a fur-mom but I hardly ever leave my pup at home. And when clients ask me to visit their offices I love it when they mention that the office is pet friendly.

Anyway, as to the outfit, I think the lace pencil skirt is a great piece! And the length works great with flats so it looks awesome for a mommy on the go and could blend into a date night with some heels <3
