Jeans and a Tee: Back to work after ex-cyclone Oswald

Here's what I wore today to return to work after surviving ex-cyclone Oswald:
Necklace: gift from DH
Bracelets: the usual
Tee: gifted MonsterThreads cat and dog graphic tee
JeansJeanswest 'spoylt' super skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagMarc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown from Reebonz

Back to the blog with a quick happy snap of what I wore to work today to show you that we made it through the wild weather in Queensland this long weekend.

And by "made it through" I mean: we left home, moved in with DH's parents, moved our freezer contents over there and enjoyed their food, hospitality and electricity as the disaster unfolded. We were incredibly lucky. I was told to get back into the office as usual today - unfortunately in casual clothes as I didn't think to pack office wear when we left home!

People have died, homes and businesses are under water, communities are stranded, people are living in evacuation centres and there are many homes still without power. You can read some of the stats here, and see some photos here. We were extremely blessed to have gotten through with no negative impacts. There are still many in Queensland and New South Wales struggling with the impact of ex-cyclone Oswald.

If you want to donate, you can donate to the red cross here. You can also donate goods here. Please keep the flood victims in your prayers. Life will go back to normal for us as we move back home and continue working, many don't have that option right now.

The tee was last worn here, jeans here, converse here and bag here.

  7. I'm so glad you're ok Mica. Cyclones, Tornadoes and Hurricanes are horrendous. The damage and death they cause can be tremendous. Saying prayers for all. Love your tee and jeans.
