Nautical Striped Maxi Dress, Balenciaga Clutch

Nautical is this month's challenge at EveryBodyEverywear. I thought this dress would be perfect, after all it is called the "Nautical" maxi dress!

Here's what I wore today:

Dress: Suboo Riviera Nautical Maxi dress from Reebonz (similar at shopbop)
Necklace: Frangipani necklace gift made by a friend (first shown here)
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes Kelly Double tour bracelet in rubis
Belt: red braided belt from Supre
Shoes: Asos 'flossy' flat sandals in tan
Bag: Balenciaga Sang 2010 GSH flat clutch (similar here)

The dress was also perfect for a picnic! We made the most of the lovely public holiday weather today with lunch in the park with my parents' church. It was good to see everyone, and Cooper got to meet another little Shih Tzu cross doggy called Brady. I didn't take any pictures unfortunately so you will need to take my word for it that Brady is adorable. :) Our family friends adopted him from the RSPCA after they saw and fell in love with Cooper, who we adopted from the AWLQ. They spent a lot of time hunting for a dog just like him, perfect for their lifestyle and medium sized yard. It was nice to see Brady enjoying his new life.

Cooper is the best little ambassador for shelters and adopting, as people who ask about him are usually surprised that he came from a shelter. It's good to be able to tell people about all the wonderful animals waiting to be adopted when they ask about Cooper. It's even better to see another dog getting adopted because his family fell in love with Cooper and knew they wanted a dog just like him - a cute, cuddly, quiet shelter dog who needed a forever home.
