Here's what I wore to go out shopping with baby T:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Seed Heritage Paisley print snood
Tee: Atmos&Here grey Arizona zip tee (New purchase, on sale!)
Skirt: Target black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
It was a little chilly, and I wanted to be cosy so long sleeved tee and a maxi skirt seemed like a good idea. I thought I'd leave the tee loose and baggy rather than tucking it in, I liked the long drapey layers when I added the scarf too. Normally I'd go for something tucked into the skirt, but I just liked the look of this with it hanging free.
This is the second time I've worn this tee since I bought it in August. As I'm reviewing all my monthly purchases after wearing them twice, the verdict on the tee:
I really like it! I'm glad I bought it and as it's such a lightweight piece I'm sure I'll still be able to wear it often in spring. A good purchase. The only thing that I'm unsure about is the zips on the hem - still haven't figured out if they are for anything more than decoration! I've tried unzipping and tucking the front in, but the stiff metal zipper doesn't make that comfortable. Maybe they are just for decoration?Do you own any tops like this? How do you wear them with the zips?
Last worn: Ray-Ban, Seed heritage snood, grey zip detail tee, striped maxi skirt, black flats, MbMJ baby bag.
Here's what I wore to go for a walk with baby and Cooper:
Sunglasses: Bali sunglasses C/O Kameleonz (20% discount with code 'MICA')
Scarf: Alexander McQueen magenta skull scarf in roses print
Tee: Living Doll stripe 3/4 sleeve top
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
Another casual maxi skirt outfit to get out of the house for a bit of lunch and a walk. Tucked the long sleeve tee in this time. I really liked this outfit when I put it on in the morning, but I am not too impressed with it in the photo. Certainly kept me comfortable all day though, which is my main goal for outfits lately!
Last worn: sunglasses, Alexander McQueen skull scarf, striped top, black maxi skirt, Converse, Marc by Marc Jacobs baby bag (see above).

I love all your outfits. You have such an eye for putting things together and making them look effortlessly cool and fashionable. I'm not too into in-your-face fashion so I like all the bits and pieces you wear like maxi skirts and denim jeans. I think you style everything so well! I hope baby and poochie are doing well. How do they get on together? Is Cooper very protective over the little one? Hope you're doing well too…feels like it's been a while! Rosemary x

It has been a while! I always love your comments :) I don't think I have the confidence to pull off anything other than simple, casual outfits, haha!
DeleteCoops and baby T are getting to know each other - Cooper is a very protective big brother :)
You are the queen of wearing maxi skirts in stylish ways. I am in love with that fuchsia skull scarf.

happy spring! i feel like your winter flew by! maybe because i didn't see any photos of snowstorms or big puffy jackets, haha. love both of your outfits, and i think the first top is adorable! i don't have any tops with zips on the hem, but i'm guessing they're for decoration.

It is so great that winter is still so warm you can actually wear skirts - that's quite impossible in Switzerland. Guess I need to move to Australia, haha!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely here! Queensland often has mild winters! :)
DeleteI love these looks. And they look so comfortable. I just picked up a maxi skirt the other day. Can't wait to wear it this weekend.

I love maxi skirts! definitely fell in love with them during my pregnancy! :)
DeleteAll of these comfy cotton neutral fabrics and stripes remind me of Country Road! When I was in uni I used to walk in just to soak myself with the casual vibe in there! You are definitely rocking that look in my opinion :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I don't own any Country road actually....although baby T has a few pieces, haha! Always the way, baby gets the expensive clothes ;)

You know what I did have a jumper for winter that had zips on the sides. I brought it from ASOS with the intent of using it un-zipped etc. I thought by un-zipping it would loosen it etc, and closed up would more fitted but it made no difference. It ended up being more awkward un-zipped than anything else though. I'd suspect your zip would be much the same. Maybe not in terms of fit since mine was a heavy weave but in functionally being absolutely not useful lol! Just to look pretty!
ReplyDeleteHope you and the fam have been well lovely!

haha yes I'm so worried to wear it unzipped in case the zips stab me or something, haha! I haven't tried wearing it that way yet, I suspect it would be awkward like your jumper!
DeleteI just love ,love , love maxi skirt , and both combinations are super cute !!! :)
