What I wore:
Sunglasses: Rayban new WayfarersDress: Jeanswest 'Chelsea' printed dress (on sale, with extra 30% off!)
Shoes: Asos 'five star' leather sandals
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Why I wore it:
Took advantage of a day I didn't have to go into the office by travelling into the city with baby to met hubby for a lunch date. It was a really warm day, so a simple dress seemed like the best option to wear. I've worn this dress and these sandals together before. It's a good combination for a hot day. I wasn't sure about the pink sandals and the red bag at first, but I think they were far enough apart that it worked okay. My little Ukita bag is 'rock lobster' which isn't really a true red, but not a true pink either, it's kind of in-between. It pretty much looks a different colour in every picture!Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, Jeanswest printed dress, Asos leather sandals, Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita.
Other ways to wear: boho printed dress with ankle boots, pink leather sandals with more blue outfits, Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita with stripes and a third trimester baby bump.
What I wore:
Sunglasses: Rayban new WayfarersNecklace: House of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
Dress: Jeanswest 'Mia' cami in black
Skirt: Asos colour block maxi skirt in red (on sale!)
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes Kelly double tour bracelet in rubis
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Why I wore it:
Wore this out for a girly day of shopping (with baby T). Last time I wore this cami I wore it with the same bag! I do like wearing this top with red. This outfit was something a little different from my usual. I've worn this skirt with voluminous tops before, although most times I do I wish I had worn a simpler top. I think it was a bit much volume with the ruffle on the cami. After wearing my bag with pink sandals the day before, I wanted to try pair it with something else I wouldn't normally, and thought this maxi skirt would be interesting. I actually liked this combination, I think the bright bag went well with the different red shades in the skirt. We had a really productive day of shopping! I spent a couple of gift cards in the Jeanswest outlet. I'll have my usual monthly purchase video up at the end of the month, but if you can't wait you can see what I bought through LikeToKnow.It.
If you sign up to LikeToKnow. It once, you can get the details of the products I feature in my instagram posts right in your email inbox! You only have to sign up once, and then you can get an email for every picture you like from any blogger you follow that uses the #liketkit hashtag.
Last worn:Wayfarers (above), polka dot cami, colour block maxi skirt, Havaianas, MbMJ Ukita bag (above).
Other ways to wear: polka dot cami hiding a 21 week baby bump in the office, red maxi skirt with scarf and plain tank, red Ukita bag with blue outfits.

yay for cross body bags and free hands! haha if I become a mum I don't think I could deal with handbags. love the bright pop of red the bag adds to every outfit! :)

It is tricky juggling a baby bag, a handbag and a baby...but I'm getting better at it. Being able to clip my handbags onto the stroller helps! :)
Deletethat dress is so lovely...and the second look is also really pretty. I love that maxi skirt.
ReplyDeletethe red bag works great with both outfits!

Love that pretty little dress, and the color blocked skirt. Totally different looks, but both fun!
ReplyDeleteThat first dress is a go-to goodie - you're dressed and looking great in a minute !
ReplyDeleteI love to read about other brands in other parts of the world. For example Jeanwest has almost disappeared from where I am from, I read about it and I can almost not believe there is even an outlet !
I'm spoiled for choice with the jeanswest outlets near me! I'm really lucky that way, as it's hands down my favourite brand!
DeleteAnd any printed dress is a great outfit in an instant! That's what I love about printed dresses :)
I LOVE the color of that red bag! It's so perfect for any season too. Great choice!

ReplyDeleteThat dress is stunning :) I am more of a crossbody purse too, but those bigger bags do come in handy at times.

I like this one - I think it's a nice sized cross body bag, not too big but definitely not too small.
Deletei love your new bag Mica! what a great switch out. the color is pretty and life is all about functionality.

Exactly! pretty things that aren't practical won't get much love with baby, hehe!

Got around to posting the video today at last! ;)
DeleteYou are wearing one of my favourite maxi skirts from you in the second outfit picture. There is something about the colour blocking, the length and the flowy-ness of the fabric that sings to me <3
ReplyDeleteIt is one of my favourite maxi skirts too. I'm so glad I picked it up in the asos sale! I was a little unsure at first, glad I decided to give it a go.
DeleteI think a crossbody bag is a great investments - it's just easier to be hands-free. Love this new one you got! The color is so pretty!

The colors of that skirt are gorgeous and I'm now going to be obsessed with the color lobster!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these looks! The first dress is super-adorable with the tassels and I love the red in your maxi and bag in the second outfit!
ReplyDeleteFizz and Frosting
That's actually a great vibrant colour bag, and perfect in my opinion for spring/summer transition. I love your first outfit, the print is really lovely. I am finding that even though I need larger bags regularly, I am loving the versatility of my crossbody bags quite a lot lately. /Madison

You're right, cross body bags are so versatile :) I like bright bags year-round, but especially in the winter when I tend to wear darker outfits, they are a nice touch of colour! :)
DeleteI love the colour of that bag, I guess you'd call it raspberry. Or maybe lobster? Whatever they look like when they're boiled lol.

I do think 'rock lobster' is a weird name for it, it's pink in some lights red in others though so that in itself is weird I guess, ha!
DeleteI think the top and skirt pair really well together with the red in the pattern and in the skirt. And your red bag looks so good with both outfits! I just got a red bag and you are giving me lots of inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGlad I could give you some inspiration! Hope to see you wearing yours often on your blog :)
DeleteI know I've said this before, but I love your haircut--adorable! Two great ensembles, and (of course) and another amazing handbag. :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I adore the dress you are wearing in your first set of outfit photos. It's such a cute style and it fits you perfectly. The bright pop of color that your MJ provides gives both looks that extra bit of glamour. I love it! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the Boho dress in the first photos and your bag added the perfect pop of colour to it!
ReplyDeleteThe Ukita has always been one of those love classic shapes that will be timeless.. the dual handles have always been one of the things I love most about my Hillier :) Also your hair looks amazing!!!
ReplyDeletesteph / absolutely-fuzzy.com
It's funny, I never loved the hillier as much as I liked this! I felt the hillier was tricky to get in and out of sometimes, don't feel that with the Ukita so much.
DeleteJust love that maxi skirt!

Every piece you are wearing/carrying in these 2 outfits is adorable. I particularly love and want that short Boho dress and of course your gorgeous ombre maxi skirt!
ReplyDeleteSo effortlessly chic!!
ReplyDeleteYour hair is so cute curled. I have a similar Marc by Marc Jacobs purse that I use all the time too, it's just so much easier with a cross body even if my baby is not a baby anymore.
