Necklace: gifted gold heart shaped necklace
Dress: Cotton On grey and floral print halterneck dress
Shoes: Balenciaga studded sandals in sorbet RGGH
Bracelets: the usual plus studded and chain link Oroton leather bracelets
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium hobo bag in Nut
Simple outfit for a hot Sunday! We ended up going out for lunch, so I thought I'd try wear some proper sandals instead of thongs all the time. Picked my pink Balenciaga ones for a bit of colour. Still not sure if it was too much with the busy printed dress, but I was happy when I wore it.
Last worn: grey floral print dress, studded Balenciaga sandals, Chloe Marcie hobo bag.
Here's what I wore to work today:
Scarf: black and blue Alexander McQueen paisley print scarf
Necklace: Dogeared silver wishbone necklace
Top: Jeanswest 'Leila' embroidered top
Skirt: Asos blue textured lace pencil skirt
Shoes: Nine West fascinate ballet flats in silver glitter
Bracelets: the usual plus Balenciaga coated stud wrap bracelet in icy blue
Bag: gifted Corelli metallic and white handbag
Felt a little cold this morning so added a nice big scarf to keep me cosy on the way to work. It's really hot during the days, but every now and then I wake up and feel like it's a really cold morning. Maybe a pregnancy thing.
Have been wanting to wear this top and skirt together for a little while. Had picked this out as a possible "bump hiding" outfit back when I was keeping the bump under wraps at work, but it didn't quite cover it up enough after my belly popped. Remembered the combination and wore it today instead. Did wish I'd worn the top tucked in though, as it wrinkled up a lot during the day.
Still can't decide if pencil skirts look better with shirts tucked or untucked during pregnancy - I've been going for untucked but it's not the most flattering with my short height. If you've worked through a pregnancy, how did you wear pencil skirts? With shirts tucked to enhance the bump, or untucked to minimise it?
Last worn: Alexander McQueen scarf, embroidered tee, blue lace pencil skirt, glitter flats, bag.

ReplyDeleteThe Chloe bag is one of my absolute favorites and the sandals are perfect for a lovely day out to lunch! I am so impressed with your pregnancy styling!
ReplyDeleteDrooling over your handbags as always...and I love that lace skirt!
ReplyDeleteLove the print on the dress you wore on sunday. You could add a skinny belt on top of the untucked shirt, right above the belly. Thats how I wore my pencil skirt. Try it and see if you like that better, either way the belly is cute!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! Something a little different from what I'd usually do :)
DeleteHmmm that's a great question. I have a friend who does them tucked, but she's super tall so it works with her belly. I guess if you tuck them in but pull the skirt up a little higher maybe? Not sure, but let us know if you figure it out!
