Scarf: black and blue Alexander McQueen paisley print scarf
Bracelets: the usual
Tee: Cotton On 'Asher' short sleeve tee in white and grey marl deck stripe
Skirt: Jeanswest zip detail ponte pencil skirt
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy from HGBags Online
Despite almost losing my voice I still had to give a little presentation at work on Wednesday, so dragged myself out of bed to go in. I wanted to be comfortable more than anything, so wore a nice tee under my pencil skirt and of course a big scarf to keep me warm.
Last worn: Paisley scarf, stripe tee, pencil skirt, studded mouse flats, Marco Tagliaferri bag.

Here's what I wore to work today:
Scarf: Cotton On white pashmina
Bracelets: the usual plus gifted Ferragamo double wrap bracelet
Dress: French Connection 'Woodblock wonder' panache dress in white/geranium rose
Belt: C/O Poppywinkle brown weave belt (came with Janet top)
Shoes: Acne pistol boots in "skin"
Bag: Vintage Louis Vuitton speedy 25 in monogram canvas
Another big scarf! It was a little too warm for this scarf today, although it was nice in the air conditioning at work and I wanted to keep my neck bundled up. There is probably zero benefit to my health but something in my brain just wants to wear scarves when I'm unwell. Maybe it's to lessen the blow of having to get out from under the doona each morning, haha!
I tried on a few printed scarves with this dress but wasn't quite sure that they looked okay, so went for the safe option with this big white pashmina instead. Would you wear a printed scarf with this dress? What do you think?
Last worn: orange dress, belt, pistol boots, speedy bag.
First time the scarf has been worn on the blog, but I've had it years.

Two of my favourite outfits of yours. They are both amazing.
ReplyDeleteSimple but nice, love the shoes you chose for the second outfit! I think it adds something quirky and unique to it which would have been missing without the shoes! Good job :)

Layering scarfs over dresses is a great way to have a little extra warmth, especially in a cold office and gives a nice dimension to the look!

I love your little doggie! He/she is so good at posing! You know what's "scary" is that I feel we have almost the same types of bags haha. I once owned a Marco bag in "mud" but was so annoyed with it's slouchiness and the difficult clasp I sold it. I am glad you keep yours though becuase it makes me sort of miss my hehehe :)
ReplyDeleteAh I love the slouchiness! And I never do up the clasp ;)
DeleteCooper is so good at posing for photos :) I think it's great we have a similar taste in bags!
U know how to work those beautiful scarves really well!!
ReplyDeleteScarf number one is my favorite! Love the studded flats too!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments :)
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that more than once I have complimented you on your French Connection dresses - and here I go again ! The colors are beautiful and they fit you so well. I think you did a marvelous job layering it with a scarf for extra warmth. I want to hug Cooper. SO CUTE-
