Today we had a relaxing Halloween in the city getting spa treatments, makeovers, nails done and finishing up the day with a movie in the park! You can see pics from the day on Instagram.

Had to wear orange for Halloween and thought neon was the way to go ;) The studs on the top meant no necklace was needed. If you're looking for a costume post, check out my previous zombie filled post here. Hope you had a great day whatever you got up to!

Metallic Tee, Black Pencil Skirt, Studded Flats, Balenciaga Coquelicot Velo

Here's what I wore to work today:
TeeCotton On Luxe pearl tee
SkirtJeanswest zip detail ponte pencil skirt
Bracelets: the usual trio
ShoesNineWest Lovelyou studded flats in black
BagBalenciaga Coquelicot 2011 RH Velo from Reebonz

Close up of accessories and bag:

Didn't have my sunnies today - it was a bit bright so I'm squinting a little, oops!

Wanted a simple unfussy outfit for work today, so stuck with a tee and pencil skirt, and added in the red velo for a bit of colour. Although the tee is metallic gold and the shoes are silver studs, I thought they were far enough apart that it looked okay, what do you think? It was nice enough to go without a jacket today - thinking of all my friends in the US who are experiencing really bad weather with the storm. I'm praying that everyone stays safe.

Close up of accessories and bag:

Wasn't feeling very inspired when deciding what to wear today so I am wearing a very similar outfit to the last time I wore this dress - just with an orange bag and belt instead of a pink one, and a different jacket. Will need to think of a different way to wear this dress next time!

The blog comes in handy to browse through when I'm thinking what to wear, much easier than looking through photos on my computer as it's more searchable. Does mean that I'm tempted to closely copy some of my previous outfits though ;) If you have a personal style blog, do you use it as a resource when thinking of what to wear?

This top has such nice embroidery on it I felt bad hiding some of it under the pencil skirt, but it works so well that way for the office! It got lots of compliments today as well. Thought my pink accessories were a nice touch with the black and white.

Close up of accessories and bag:

Dressed for the cooler weather today with a jacket and boots. I worry sometimes that the neckline on this dress looks a little too low cut for work, so this dress isn't worn as much as my other ones. Decided to add a scarf for warmth and it had the bonus of covering up the neckline a bit too. I kept the scarf on all day, it's so pretty. Added a bit of colour with my orange Balenciaga and bracelet.

Received some goodies today I'm looking forward to showing you tomorrow!

Here's what I wore to work today:
SunniesDior oversized sunglasses in black
NecklaceChanel necklace from Reebonz
Bracelets: the usual plus Marc by Marc Jacobs enamel turnlock stripey hinge bracelet in black and white
Top: French Connection verity voile black short sleeve shirt
SkirtCotton On Berney skirt in zinfandel
ShoesNineWest Lovelyou studded flats in black
BagBalenciaga part time in black 2010 with GSH

Close up of accessories and bag:

Spoke too soon yesterday, the weather's gotten colder again and the tights are back out! Really wished I'd worn a jacket today too, just seemed to get colder through the day. As you can see it was very windy too, hair and skirt getting the blast from the wind! Thought I would wear the burgundy peplum skirt to break up the black a little. Still feel the outfit is missing something looking at the photos though - maybe a belt?

Surprisingly, this is the first time I've worn this top on the blog. It used to be worn frequently, but now I find myself picking other tops instead. Will be so interesting after a year of blogging to see what items I've never worn. When I was packing away some of my winter items this weekend I noticed quite a few that never made it out of the storage box this year! No wonder my wardrobes are overflowing ;)

The skirt was last worn here, shoes here and bag here. This is the first time I've worn this top on the blog.

Pattern Mixing: Blue Lace Pencil Skirt, Printed Top, Pink Accessories, Balenciaga Magenta Work

Here's what I wore to work today:

Necklacegift from DH
Bracelets: the usual plus enamel coated Marc By Marc Jacobs Katie bracelet in pink

Skirt: Asos blue textured lace pencil skirt
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
BagBalenciaga RH work in 2005 Magenta

Close up of accessories and bag:

Was a nice warm day today - rather sad to spend the day in the office though and view the sunshine through the window! Was good to be able to wear a skirt without my winter opaques needed for warmth though.

It's nice to see how my work wardrobe has changed over time - gone from preferring pants to loving dresses and skirts, even in winter. This beautiful blue lace pencil skirt is one of my favourites. Although I don't seem to wear it much in winter, it got a work out at the start of the year with the warmer temperatures. I expect it to pop up more in future ;) Tried a little bit of pattern mixing today by wearing it with a printed top, what do you think?

If you're hunting for anything in particular at the moment, Asos have an extra 15% off their sale with the code "MIDSEASON15". Enjoy :)

Zombie Walk: Failed Tie-Dye Tunic, Grey Shorts, Yellow Sunnies

Here's what I wore to take part in the Brisbane Zombie Walk today:

Sunnies: Yellow sunglasses from the Ekka
Bracelets: the usual plus two metal and fabric Indigo Rose Design bracelets
Top: thrifted no label failed tie-dye tunic (new purchase)
Shorts: grey Cotton On shorts
Shoes: brown Roxy thongs
BagChloe paddington cross body clutch

Close up of accessories and a little bit more fake blood:

Went to the Brisbane Zombie Walk today with my friend and DH. Although I'm not really into Halloween or costumes, it was very fun.

I spotted this tunic top when thrifting the other week, we named it the "failed tie-dye top". We knew it would be perfect for the zombie walk when I tried it on and the SA said it looked like a meat dress and was making her ill! Added some fake blood courtesy of the festival "splatterhouse marquee" and some shorts underneath to stop it being indecent. Was a great light costume to wear on such a hot day and I was really pleased with how it turned out.

There are other zombie walks around Australia this month, worth checking out to see if there is one near you as it's a very strange but fun way to spend the day! You can see more pictures I took on instagram here.

DH also managed to take a video near the start of the walk - you can see my friend and I in it too.

The sunnies were last worn here, and bag here. It's the first time I've worn the top, and the first time I've worn the shorts and thongs on the blog.

Day at the Beach: Suboo Striped Maxi Dress, Yellow Sunnies, Lodinatt Bag, Cooper

Here's what I wore to go grocery shopping and spend some time at the beach today:

Sunnies: Yellow sunglasses from the Ekka
Bracelets: the usual trio
DressSuboo Riviera Nautical Maxi dress from Reebonz
Belt: not seen in pics, but red braided belt from Supre
Shoes: not seen in pics, but red Roxy thongs
BagLodinatt two level canvas bag in Ivory and Red C/O Lodinatt

It was such a warm day today we headed to the beach. As you can see from Cooper's face, it was also rather windy which made it difficult to get a good picture. My sun hat kept blowing off with the wind so after chasing it down the beach I put it into my bag for safe keeping!

While I did try to get some straight up and down blog photos, we gave up pretty quickly as the weather wasn't cooperating at all! I thought I'd share these ones instead from the set of photos we took of us and Cooper enjoying the beach. :) Much more relaxed photos. Please excuse my sandy feet, haha!

Here's what I wore to work today for casual Friday:
Sunnies: Orange sunglasses from Paddy's Market in Sydney
Bracelets: the usual plus thrifted silver belt bracelet, two beaded Sportsgirl Butterfly Foundation bracelets, Marc by Marc Jacobs enamel turnlock stripey hinge bracelet in black and white

JeansSass and Bide "straight up" jeans
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy from HGBags Online

Close up of accessories and bag:

I wanted to continue to keep my now pink sunburnt arms covered but it was really warm today, so I went for a tee that would at least cover my shoulders, which are the worst. And of course, jeans as it was casual Friday! I had a meeting at the other end of the city so I wore comfortable shoes for walking in, and a bag big enough to hold all of my notes.

Tried a new angle for taking a photo of my bag and accessories - as always, let me know if you have any feedback about it or anything on my blog.

Looking forward to the weekend, even though it's going to be really hot! Hope you have something fun planned :)

Should have brushed my hair before photos today, hehe! Wore some purple with this dress to make a change from the pink bags I usually pair it with. Couldn't resist adding a pink bracelet too though :)
It was very warm this morning so went for this dress. It's comfortable and has the added bonus of longer sleeves to cover up the worst of my sunburn.

ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey (a little covered by Cooper's fluffy tail!)
BagBalenciaga part time in black 2010 with GSH

Close up of accessories and bag:

Wore my polka dot top today after deciding not to wear it yesterday. This outfit is heavily inspired by yesterday's one - with a ruffle top and plain skirt instead of a ruffle skirt and plain top! To add to my laziness, I wore the same bag and necklace again. ;) The jacket wasn't really needed as it was such a warm day today, but I had to wear something to cover up my sunburnt arms and shoulders. Probably would have looked better in the photo if I'd buttoned it, will need to remember for next time.

My Reebonz purchases arrived today to cheer me up at work - I did a short video reveal if you're interested.

Close up of accessories and bag:

I had originally planned to wear my polka dot ruffle cami with this skirt - but when I tried it on together this morning I worried it was too much with the peplum on the skirt, so I changed to this simple grey tank instead. resulted in my wearing a lot of cotton on today though, even the shoes! The shoes are a little hard to see though, as Cooper kept getting in the way of the camera, haha.

It was quite warm today, but I wanted to wear this dress to try and cover up my very sunburnt arms and shoulders after spending so long in the sun yesterday. I couldn't cover up my red nose even with 2 coats of makeup, but luckily the light this afternoon when we took photos was forgiving so I don't look too bad!

Orange Stripe Tank, Brown Maxi Skirt, Asos Sandals, LV Damier Neverfull, Duck Race

Here's what I wore to go out with a friend in Brisbane for the Duck Race and Shopaholics Day Out today:
NecklaceIndigo Rose Design feather, quartz and love charm long necklace
Bracelets: the usual plus orange resin bangle from the Ekka, orange agate bracelet from Paddy's Markets in Sydney and Indigo Rose Design waxed leather cream howlite beaded wrap bracelet
TopJeanswest "Sarah" stripe tank in firecracker/coconut
Skirt: Shareen thrifted brown maxi skirt (New purchase)
ShoesAsos metallic Freestyle leather sandals
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Close up of accessories and bag:

My friend and I went to watch the great Brisbane duck race by the river today. It was good to sit in the sun for a bit, but I sat there much too long and I'm now very sunburnt. It was difficult to find shade and we underestimated how long we would be sitting in the sun, not good. Should have had a hat with me.

After lunch we went to the Brisbane Shopaholics Day Out, which was nice to browse for a little while. We went to the 'pampering pavilion' and had the chance to try TK's Lashes eyelash extensions thanks to Louise from Lou Lou Hair Design. We were really impressed with the extensions  so we both bot a kit! It's a set that consists of gel and fibres. You kind of brush on your new eyelashes which is strange at first, but it works right away and it's glue free. It really makes a difference, without mascara!

Left with lashes, right without. I'm not a beauty blogger but thought I'd share anyway. You can order the kit direct from Louise.

Also took the chance to have my photo taken with a giant inflatable duck today!  Was a nice Sunday.

The top has been worn before here, shoes here and bag here. This is the first time I've worn the skirt as it's a new purchase.

Striped Tee, Sass and Bide Jeans, Converse, Leopard Print Sunnies and Scarf, RM MAC Bag

Here's what I wore to go shopping with my friend today:
Sunnies: Pink leopard print sunglasses from Paddy's Markets in Sydney
Scarf: Grey and pink leopard print scarf from Paddy's Markets in Sydney
Bracelets: the usual plus thrifted silver belt bracelet
TopJeanswest Agnes striped tee in coconut and black
JeansSass and Bide "Frayed Misfits"
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff MAC bag in Deep Purple

Close up of accessories and bag:

My friend and I want to do the Brisbane Zombie Walk next weekend, so we spent some time today shopping in the Paddington op shops (thrifit/second hand stores) to find something suitable to wear. Best place in Brisbane to thrift!
I bought a few things: a blazer, a beautiful maxi skirt, an orange belt, an amazingly bright orange top, this cute belted bracelet and some options for next weekend. Everything was pre-owned so it doesn't break my October "buy nothing new month" challenge, thankfully as I've been so bad at sticking to it! Was really good to spend the day together browsing the different stores and trying various costume ideas.

It was cool in the morning but warm during the day so I tied my scarf to my bag for the majority of the day. Wanted to wear comfortable shoes for all the walking we would be doing, and minimal accessories so I could try things on easily. It's best to ignore sizes when thrifting and just try things on anyway, you never know! I'm wearing a singlet under my tee too so I could try things on outside the change rooms if needed. I've worn lots of these things together before so I knew I'd be comfortable, and I was able to spend more time browsing and less in change rooms :)

The scarf was last worn here, tee here, jeans here, shoes here and bag here.
