What I Added to My Wardrobe:
March Wardrobe Additions:
- Orange and black Salty Crush printed dress from my sister's wardrobe
- Caroline Morgan navy daisy print dress from my sister's wardrobe
April Wardrobe Additions:
- thrifted Millions & Billions navy floral shrug jacket
- thrifted Pink Diamond red floral print maxi dress with tassels
I'm really thankful my sister let me go through the items she had discarded from her wardrobe, and I scored these two beautiful dresses, both of which have gotten me compliments when I wore them. I have been on a bit of a dress kick recently and I'm enjoying wearing these two. especially the orange and black one, perfect colours for Brisbane's current autumn weather!
The dress and the floral shrug were both just $1 each - the dress was on sale at a little local opshop, and the floral shrug jacket was $1 from my go-to opshop that has $1 clothing items. I was really pleased with my finds! I'd been looking for some items for my son for a school project, and some photo frames, but I always have a browse of the books and the clothes to see if there's anything for me too, and I was happy with both of these buys.
With these pieces from my sister and the dress I thrifted though, it now brings my total of new dresses added to my wardrobe this year to 5, which seems a bit much. As I set myself a rule of wearing everything I buy at least twice in the month I buy it though and I've easily achieved this with all these dresses, I still think they were good buys, and I'm enjoying wearing them! I have decluttered a few other dresses from my wardrobe to make room, but I'm also expecting the next couple of months to be low purchase months, as I've added quite a few pieces to my wardrobe this year!

I always enjoy these wardrobe recap posts because they’re such a realistic look at what actually gets added and worn over time. It’s interesting seeing which pieces ended up being the most useful! Your dresses from your sister are very cute!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the best thrifted pieces! Such a steal for those prices, and I love that your sister shared those beautiful dresses with you. My favorite is the navy one!
ReplyDeleteWishing you an amazing rest of your week, Mica! :)
Make Life Marvelous
It is wonderful that you were able to add some pieces to your wardrobe thanks to your sister! I love those dresses so much. They look beautiful on you :D
ReplyDeleteI am such a fan of blue-based floral prints, so you can guess which two pieces are my favorite! Congrats on finding such cute items for $1; that's not something I've seen in the US for a while - thrift prices have really gone up here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and lovely outfits.
