Chloe Handbag Reveal:
What I Bought In October:
- Nobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
- Nobody Denim Cult high rise skinny ankle jeans in charred grey
- Chloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc
- Target navy and white striped shift dress with frill sleeves
Why I Bought It:
Aside from the jeans, another month of preloved buys. While I have bought a few things this year (and have definitely exceeded my 2020 fashion spend) the jeans are my first retail buy since February which I feel pretty good about! As much as I love the Nobody Denim jeans for how they are ethically and Australian made and designed, they are also on the expensive side. $239 retail price for these jeans I couldn't justify, but on sale for $97 they are perfect! Was really thrilled to stumble across these in the David Jones sale.
Since I added a denim skirt to my wardrobe that my sister no longer wanted a few months back I've been thinking about getting another, so this black Nobody Denim one was perfect, and an absolute bargain preloved on eBay.
The dress and bag were just lucky finds! As I mentioned in the video, I'd gone to the first local Glad Rags second hand market to support the organiser, and just wanted to have a little browse. The navy dress seemed like a great basic. At only $5 I was pretty pleased with my purchase and started making my way out when I stumbled across the Chloe small Paddington bag on the edge of a stall. I was very excited to realise it was authentic and that it was only $90! What are the chances?! The prices vary a lot online as it's a 2006 bag but some are still pretty exxy! I used to have a couple mini Paddington bags back in the day, and I used to authenticate Paddingtons too so I was super pleased to confirm it was real and grab this bargain.
I wasn't expecting to spend so much at the market, the bag was the item that pushed me over my 2020 fashion spend limit, but I knew I'd have so many regrets if I didn't snap the bag up. Didn't even haggle for the price, just wanted it to be mine! 😂
How I've Worn It:
How I'm tracking With My Annual Fashion Spend:
So far I'm $85 over the amount I spent in 2020, and I have two months left in the year and another Glad Rags preloved market coming up... Still under my 2019 spend at the moment though. It will be interesting to see my spend at the end of the year. It's the first time since 2018 and when I started tracking that I've increased my fashion spend from the year before.
Since I spent so little in 2020 on fashion I think it was going to be hard to meet or spend less than that amount this year, with everything opened up and so few restrictions in Queensland. It was a good goal to aim for though!
Amazing looks, like always
ReplyDeleteMy fav is the orange dress, i love it so much

Thanks! It's an oldie but a goodie! :)

That bag is super cute! You really got some great items this month even if it put you over budget. Sometimes you need to take advantage of those amazing finds!
ReplyDeleteTrue, I just had to snap up that bag bargain!
Deletelove your budget tracking and how you pick items that are extremely usable for many outfits. I wear jeans a lot all year round no matter the weather.
ReplyDeleteSadly it's just too hot and humid in summer for jeans here!
DeleteAll are beautiful!!! good selection!!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of tracking my spending on fashion over a whole year to find balance. That's a really good idea. I think I would have to figure out what I spend now and then move on from there. The bag is adorable and that was a steal of a deal on those jeans, like 60% off!
ReplyDeleteYes I started doing it a few years back and my goal has been always to spend less than I did the year before to find my lowest budget, I think 2020 is it, haha!
DeleteBoth great buys! I always love a great pair of jeans and everything else is great too! They'll definitely be pieces you can wear for years.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm under last year's spending this year (but that's because I'm not counting my huge Prada spend since it came out of my clothing splurge fund, haha)

I'm so impressed you are still under last year spend! it was definitely my lowest spend year ever since I started tracking, it will be interesting to see how far over I go!
DeleteYou got some great buys in October! The Chloé bag is gorgeous and a great find, and the jeans were an amazing bargain

I need to get better at filming them! I used to do one very month I bought things but gotten out of the habit of it now!
DeleteSuper! Great outfits! You are very beautiful) Thank you very much for the post!
ReplyDeleteI think 2020 might be considered a bit of an exception, and so I'm not surprised you've already exceeded last year's amount. I definitely bought far less than usual in 2020 as well. Those jeans were a bargain, and so was the bag. No need to feel guilty as I'm sure both will be well used! xxx
ReplyDeleteYes it was definitely an exceptionally low spend year, even if we didn't have a very high number of lockdown days here!
DeleteReally, nothing should be compared to 2020. It was a year like no other in recent memory.
ReplyDeleteIt was a unique year for sure!
DeleteAmazing looks
ReplyDeleteEs muy bonita y me gustaron los outfits, saludos:D
ReplyDelete2020 was an unique year for sure. You cannot compare to that. Most people bought more this year that's why a lot of stuff are not in stock. With that said, you made great purchases!

Interestingly enough I've bought less things, they have just been more expensive, haha! I haven't seen many stock shortages here, but I haven't been focused on shopping a lot.
Deletewow!
ReplyDeleteso cool looks, love them all!!

That Chloe' bag is a super deal alone!
ReplyDeleteAnyway you are so good on keep tracking of your shopping, I'd never do the same!
Anyway guess that 2020 was really a unique year for everybody: who spent more, who spent less, but definitely it cannot be a term of comparison for the shopping (especially fashion shopping)...
Very nice outfits, Mica!

Well done! And really, who cares if you're a little over - this is just a personal challenge, and I shop way more than you (no shame or guilt there!). Love that purse and such a great bargain too!
ReplyDeleteOh definitely no guilt! :) just feeling a little bad I broke my good run of spending less each year till this year, haha! But Impressed I've bought less items despite spending more, making me think more about my goals for next year!
DeleteLindo bolso te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteSometimes things like the bag come up and you can‘t say no - it isn‘t an opportunity that you‘ll get often.
ReplyDeleteTrue! I just had to snap the bag up at that great price!
