What I Bought In January And February, And How I've Worn It

A few new additions to my wardrobe this year! I picked up some things at the opshop, a result of browsing after donating more things after our post-Christmas clear outs. The boys are outgrowing their clothes so fast, I can always find more to donate and another reason to stop by an opshop.

Here's what I bought over January and February:

The only thing I didn't buy in an opshop, the navy Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag, was an online purchase from eBay, so it was a preloved find as well. I'd been considering it for a while and at $50 I really couldn't resist grabbing it one day. It's been worn quite a lot since I bought it.

Unfortunately, the leopard print maxi cardigan and the vintage leather jacket I picked up have not been worn twice yet. I set myself the goal of wearing everything I buy at least twice in the month I buy it, to make sure I'm buying pieces that work well for my lifestyle and to stop all the "new with tags but unworn" pieces living in my wardrobe I had a few years back. While I did manage to wear the cardigan once on a slightly cooler, rainier summer day, and the jeans, the weather just hasn't been cool enough yet for them to have a lot of wears, or the leather jacket to even be worn once. I'm confident once we pass through autumn herein Brisbane that they will be frequently reached for pieces in winter weather though!

How I Wore It:

As I shared above, the navy Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag has been worn a lot, easily the most worn of everything I bought. The little denim tiered dress has been something I've reached for a lot too.

While I didn't really need any pieces added to my wardrobe this year, I couldn't resist picking up these things over the past 2 months and I'm sure they will get a lot more wear, particularly the winter pieces, when the right weather rolls around!
