Floral Print Dresses And Denim Tote Bag

Two more dress outfits with this upcycled Re-Up denim tote bag, that's been on frequent repeat lately. Last time I wore this bag with dresses it was with block colour linen tiered dresses, but in this post I'm sharing when I wore it with floral dresses.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual plus faux pearl and gold beaded bracelet stack
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

This was another warm day at the end of summer, I wore this for another day off I had to continue to care for my son as he recovered from surgery. After the school run for my other son, we had a doctor's appointment, and then just relaxed at home again until it was time to pick my son up from school, and we had my parents over in the afternoon.

This light floral print dress is such a fun one to wear, it was a lucky $1 opshop find and can be worn with anything. This blue denim upcycled tote bag was a good pairing with it as I needed a big tote for our water bottles and some books to read to pass time in the doctor's waiting room. I wore the blue Converse for a little matchy-matchy, although they are different shades of blue I liked both blue accessories with the peachy-pink floral print in the dress.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, floral print babydoll dress, faux pearl bracelet stack, blue Converse, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag.

Other ways to wearfloral print babydoll dress with purple, blue Converse and skirt, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Earrings: thrifted red dinosaur skeleton earrings
DressAtmos & Here Willow printed tee dress
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

This was a return to school for my son after he got clearance post-surgery, and a returning to working from home for me. I wanted to be comfortable in the heat, it was still so hot near the end of summer! So I wore this cute green floral print dress that was overdue a wear. For something a little different I added the red dinosaur earrings. They are a nice match with the red in the floral print on the dress.

I've worn this dress with red a few times in the past, and you can see them all in my 30 ways to wear post with this green floral dress. While I just had the school run and then working from home, I didn't need to carry a lot with me. But I still wore this fun denim tote bag as it's so enjoyable to wear!

Last worn: dinosaur earrings, green floral shift dress, turquoise bracelet stack, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag (above).

Note: we were in the direct path of Cyclone Alfred, and impacted by flooding. But have recovered and have been able to help others with the recovery. Thanks all for your kind words.

Tiered Linen Dresses and Upcycled Denim Tote Bag

When I shared in my wardrobe update post that I'd bought this upcycled denim tote bag I mentioned I love wearing it with dresses, just like I'm doing in both of these outfits.

What I wore:

NecklaceZuriCollections blue polymer clay necklace
DressKmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Despite it being officially autumn in Queensland, and it being the end of summer when I wore this, it was a hot and humid day so I felt like I needed a nice light linen dress. There was the school drop off and a quick errand to run before it was back home to look after my son who was recovering from surgery.

This dress is such a nice bright mango yellow shade, and I love the way the blue wash of the jeans turned tote bag works with it. I added the blue beaded necklace to match the bag, and then the turquoise beaded bracelet stack was another touch of blue against the yellow dress too.

Last worn: beaded necklace, Kmart linen dress, turquoise beaded bracelet stack, braided sandals, upcycled denim tote bag.

Other ways to wearKmart linen dress and orange bag, braided sandals and skirt, upcycled denim tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Dress: Anko Kmart short sleeved tiered linen dress in coco brown
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Another hot summer day, so another Kmart linen dress! I wore sneakers with this brown tiered linen dress as we had a bit of driving to do! We had to pick up a birthday present and then we went to a birthday party in the afternoon. My son had so much fun at the party, it was worth the confusion of getting lost on the way there, as I hadn't been to the venue before and the GPS was not as helpful as it could have been with the directions, ha!

While the venue was air conditioned I appreciated this light dress very much for the rest of the day. I had to bring water bottles for my son and I, so again I wore this upcycled denim tote bag. Just like in the first outfit with the brighter dress I added wooden turquoise accessories, this multi strand statement beaded necklace was a great pop of colour against the neutral brown linen dress, even if it doesn't match the blue denim wash of the tote bag.

Note: we are in the direct path of Cyclone Alfred, this is a pre-scheduled post. We had time to prepare our home the best we could, and I have a few posts scheduled as I don't know what the impact will have been as I type this.

Kmart Linen Shorts and Blue Printed Cover Ups With Upcycled Denim Tote Bag

Two colourful linen shorts outfits I wore recently, with blue printed cover ups and my awesome upcycled denim tote bag.

What I wore:

DusterJeanswest Kensley summer tie-dye kimono
Necklace: Uniquely Made with Love Sea Change necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in chartreuse
Shorts: thrifted Kmart turquoise linen shorts
Shoes:  slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Bright and colourful for working from home and doing the school run. With the turquoise linen shorts, and the navy tie dye duster I added even more blue with this upcycled blue jeans turned into a tote bag. I didn't really need to carry that much to need such a big bag, but it was nice to have even more blue in this outfit. Even the blue beaded necklace and the navy Havaianas meet that theme. It's just the mustard yellow tank for a bit of contrasting colour. I like the way the yellow pops against the navy and the turquoise linen shorts.

Last worn: tie dye duster, blue beaded necklace, mustard tank, turquoise linen shorts, Havaianas. First time I've worn the upcycled denim tote bag as it's a recent opshop find.

Other ways to weartie dye duster and jeans, mustard tank and skirt, turquoise linen shorts and graphic tee.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On Alana Wanderlust kimono in floral mood indigo
Earrings: Mimco circle stud
Necklace: thrifted metallic clay bead necklace
TeeAtmos & Here white essential v-neck tee
Shorts: thrifted Kmart fuchsia linen blend shorts
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Another hot and humid summer day in Brisbane, another pair of linen shorts! Like the turquoise pair above, these were also a lucky opshop find and are perfect on warm days. I went with a simple white tee as the shorts are colourful enough, and then added the floral print cover up for a bit of additional physical sunblock.

Unlike the first outfit, I needed all the capacity of the denim tote bag on this day as we had snacks and water bottles as we spent the day down the coast at Movie World, checking out the new Wizard of Oz rides. They were so much fun! All of the walking meant I picked my extra comfortable Sketchers sneakers for the extra support for my knee as well.

Last worn: blue printed cover up, blue beaded necklace, white tee, fuchsia pink linen shorts, Sketchers, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearblue printed cover up and skirt, white tee and jeans, fuchsia pink linen shorts and stripes, Sketchers and dress.
