What I wore:
Earrings: Kmart silver leaf drop chandelier earrings
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Tee: Spectrum basic v-neck tee in washed lilac
Jeans: Sass & Bide Playman skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: thrifted Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Convertible clutch in electric violet with Rebecca Minkoff Crystal Star Shoulder Guitar strap
Why I wore it:
Not entirely sure that this outfit worked. I love all the pieces separately, but together I just wasn't feeling it. I wanted this purple tee to bring a bit of colour for a zoom call I had that day, and the cardigan was a good choice for both the school run and being comfortable while working from home.I'd thought about wearing a statement necklace or pair of earrings the night before but hadn't actually decided what I'd go with. I ran out of time trying a couple options that morning so settled on classic silver with this Tiffany heart necklace and the silver dangly leaf earrings. The earrings feel a bit dressy for such a casual outfit, but they worked well to make me feel pulled together for my long zoom call during the day. I did however take them off for the school run - with mask rules in place in Brisbane meaning I need to wear masks indoors and when dropping off or picking up the kids. It's easier to take masks off and on without statement earrings like this!
I thought this Marc By Marc Jacobs bag would be nice as I really didn't have to carry much - just the essentials, and it has a main compartment for my wallet and phone, a pocket for car keys, a pocket for hand sanitiser and a front pocket for my mask! Perfect. I really like how it looks with the lilac tee too.
Last worn: grey cardigan, silver earrings, heart necklace, purple tee, chevron print skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff bag strap, Marc By Marc Jacobs convertible clutch.
Other ways to wear: grey cardigan and flared jeans, purple tee and maxi skirt, chevron print skinny jeans with pink and purple, Converse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff bag strap on love bag, Marc By Marc Jacobs convertible clutch and midi dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: purple tee in second trimester, Converse in second trimester.

What I wore:
Necklace: Chanel necklace layered with Tiffany diamonds by the yard necklace
Tee: Kmart grey leopard print tee
Jeans: Jeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Edie small crossbody bag in magenta
Why I wore it:
I liked the colours of the outfit above, so repeated it again a couple of days later. And repeated the Converse too! This time I wore the Rebecca Minkoff Edie crossbody bag in magenta, purple jeans and a printed top. I noticed this old grey leopard print tee in my wardrobe and realised it was overdue a wear! It was a bargain $2 sale find in winter 2019, but this is only it's fifth wear since I bought it. Not bad at 40 cents a wear, but I really should wear it more. I thought the grey leopard print looked good with the navy cardigan and purple jeans.Tried a little necklace layering too with the round neck letting me pair two shorter silver necklaces together, instead of a big long statement necklace as I'd usually wear. Not a huge difference but nice to try a little departure from my regular accessorising!
Was a quiet day so this was a really comfortable outfit for it - school run in the morning, some errands and an appointment with the little one afterwards, and our regular library run too.

How You Can Wear It
Pink and purple look good together! A magenta or pink bag can be a fun accessory worn with something purple in your outfit - from a light lilac to deeper purple shades.
Earrings do get in the way of mask wearing! Your magenta bag is so pretty Mica!
ReplyDeleteHope your week has been a good one!
xo,
Kellyann
They do make it tricky to keep taking the mask off and on!
DeleteLove the purple top on your first outfit.

Beautiful look! I like the bag and your shoes.

I really like these outfits, Mica...especially the colour scheme of the first one! The magenta bag is is stunning too!😊😊
ReplyDeleteI find wearing earrings and masks together a problem too, and also sunglasses!🙄
Have a good day!
Hugs xxx
Oh yes sometimes sunglasses are impossible to wear with masks!
DeleteYour pretty purple bags remind me of one I have that I should get out for fall! It's beautiful with the colors of your outfits!
ReplyDeleteI hate that feeling when an outfit feels like it should be really good based on the individual pieces and then it just doesn't seem to work. But, for what it's worth, I think both these outfits look great. I love the colour combinations and those patterned jeans are such a great piece.

Thanks! It's okay, I just think if I'd planned it better I would have liked it more! :)
DeleteI love the purple pop of colors in theses outfits.

Purple is a nice colour. Now I know that purple and blue make a good combination.
ReplyDeleteOh both styles are very cute, I like the cardigan
ReplyDeletexx
Both outfits are so beautiful! I have to say...the shoulder strap for that first look is SO COOL. What a great piece and a really fun way to mix things up. It is so stunning!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
It is such a fun bag strap, I scored it on sale a while ago and I'm glad I did!
DeleteThese are both really cute casual looks - I like your colours in both. That grey cardi looks supremely snuggly!
ReplyDeleteI have gotten used to just putting my mask over my big earrings - if I'm going to be wearing the mask for a while, then I'll thread the earrings through properly, but if it's only for a few minutes, then I don't bother.
Hope you are having a good week, Mica!
We have mask rules indoors but not outdoors so I have to mask up to collect my kids but take it off in the car, earrings are just too fiddly then!
DeleteGreat outfits with skinny jeans. Love your tops. The leopard printed tee looks great with purple jeans. I have a similiar leopard print top. Beautiful RM bag as well. The converse sneakers are always a good choice.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
Stunning ♥
ReplyDeleteAmazing looks!

In spite of your not feeling it, I'm loving your first outfit best! That lilac tee is such a nice colour and works wonderfully with the thrifted Marc Jacobs bag. How lucky you were to find that, by the way. I'm not wearing earrings myself but can totally see them getting in the way with mask wearing. I'm having problems enough as it is with my glasses! xxx
ReplyDeleteOh yes glasses are a struggle! I was so lucky to find that bag! :)
DeleteI love purple, it's one of my favorite colors *-*
ReplyDeleteThe second bag is wonderful
Thanks for sharing :D
Kisses ♥
Those three make a pretty good combo! I do love some purple! and cardigans! and prints!!!

I think the first outfit worked. But if you didn't feel comfortable in it, then it didn't.
ReplyDeleteSo true! Comfort is the most important thing!
DeleteLindos looks Me gusto el segundo atuendo. Adore el segundo bolso te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteHello Mica, I hope you're having a lovely week and happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI think both are nice options! Sorry to hear that you didn't feel comfortable enough in the first outfit, but I really like the combination, anyway you could always try to ditch some accessories or replace some pieces for others.... the combinations are endless!
And about the second one I like the color palette, specially for the burgundy in the bag which is a powerful color! And 40 cents per wear is not that bad, I'm sure you will use the t-shirt in more combinations, maybe with skirts or shorts or under a blazer? :)
All the best!

Thank you for the ideas! I really do need to wear this tee more! It's often sadly neglected in my wardrobe!
DeleteAnd yes, the good thing about fashion - I can just change things up next time I wear these pieces, they are only clothes after all :)
Great styling! You look so gorgeous.

I was just thinking I need to switch out my purse: been wearing my grey crossbody for a couple of weeks: with outings it has been practical but now I want something for fall: time to shop my closet!
ReplyDeletewww.chezmireillefashiontravelmom.com
I tend to switch my bags out multiple times a week! I love having different choices!
DeleteI am in love with your second outfit, friend! Looks beautiful and comfy, too!
ReplyDeleteWishing you the brightest weekend ahead, Mica. :)
Make Life Marvelous
Hello Mica
ReplyDeleteRegarding your two looks that you present to us, the color palette is similar, I think as you say you had more problems with the first look maybe because the pattern of these pants is not easy to match! And, that's why I prefer the second look!
I wish you a great weekend, here there are elections for the other weekend so there is only talk of political parties!
xoxo

They can be tricky printed jeans to wear but the print makes them so fun too! :)
DeleteThat magenta purse really adds such wonderful color to that second outfit Mica!! In fact, I was wearing a top similar to that one today. Love it.

The two magenta bags are both elegant and functional. And That grey colour of the 1st picture is unusual. Really beautiful! In addition,
ReplyDeleteit enables multiple combinations of colours.
Just read your comment ... I would like to see the Lego exhibition at the Museum. The great news is that you have no coronavirus cases there in Brisbane and its surroundings. I have heard there aren't enough vaccine doses in Australia ... I hope the number of contaminated people in your country will continue to decrease in the months ahead, as in summer the virus isn't as strong as we used to see in winter.
Here on the 42nd parallel of the North emisphere people are still going in the hills, beaches, and countryside, although summer is going to an end. I think this year Italian people will go biking, walking and swimming until they can (😷 instead of restaurants, cafes and indoor venues).
Have a nice week, Mica ☀️
The Lego exhibition was so much fun! Yes with the lack of vaccines here we are lucky that there are no cases :) We have started to get more vaccines in so hopefully there will be more of us all vaccinated soon so we are better prepared if there is another outbreak!
DeleteThese are great outfits. I do love a good cardi :-D
ReplyDeleteThose chevron pants are awesome! The purple purse is great too.

I completely agree about it being hard to navigate statement earrings and a mask. My earrings have seen much less wear this past year because of that...
ReplyDeleteLove both outfits!
