Printed Tanks and Black Rebecca Minkoff Unlined Tote Bag

Two printed tank outfits I wore recently for different sprint days, one for a cooler day with an extra cardigan, and another on a warmer day with just a simple tank and shorts together.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Dotti black cocoon cape cardigan
Earrings: gold heart and pearl earrings
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
Tank: Jeanswest 'Hannah' print tank in paradise pink multi
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

It was a colder, cloudy spring day so I pulled out another cardigan. This black cocoon cardigan is a cosy favourite, and I thought it was nice with the matching black converse, skinny jeans, and Rebecca Minkoff black tote bag. With all the black, the coral brushstroke tank really stood out. I haven't worn this tank for a while, and it was overdue a wear!

This was a really easy and comfortable outfit as after work we had to attend a high school tour with my son. I picked the big Rebecca Minkoff tote bag as it fits all the essentials I needed plus water bottles for us as well.

Last worn: black cocoon cardigan, pearl earring, tassel necklace, brushstroke tank, wrap bracelet, faded skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote.

Other ways to wearblack cocoon cardigan and white jeans, brushstroke tank and maxi skirt, faded skinny jeans and leather jacket, Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote and shorts.

What I wore:

Tank: thrifted Target mixed print colourful printed tank
ShortsJeanswest Parker printed shirred short
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

This was a much warmer spring day, so I didn't need the jeans or a cardigan. The humidity meant these light printed shorts were a good choice, and I thought I'd try a little print mixing with the bright tank. Although different, the prints all worked together nicely. I didn't wear a necklace as the outfit was busy enough with the prints together, and also because it was a bit too warm and humid to want to wear any extra accessories!

I worked from home after the school run, and then picked the kids up from school in the afternoon before  sports. I didn't need such a large tote bag as I wasn't carrying much, but this was a nice easy one to carry and I liked how it matched the black shorts and black sandals.

Last worn: printed tank, printed shorts, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearprinted tank and mustard cardigan, printed shorts and graphic tee, strappy sandals and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and dress.

  2. I love the coral and pop of turquoise against the black outfit, and of course I'm always a fan of a print mix!

  3. I'm glad you had a cute cardigan to stay warm and stylish on a cool spring day! I love the coral tank. It is so beautiful and you're right - it really stands out against the black! Love the second look and the fact that you were able to enjoy some warmer weather!
