What I wore:
Jacket: Jeanswest Nadine 3/4 sleeve dusky pink blazer
Earrings: Colette silver filigree leaf diamante statement earrings
Tank: Atmos & Here Oregon stripe tank
Pants: Jeanswest 'Fiona' skinny leg pant in shiraz
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bag: Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH
Why I wore it:
I actually had a completely different outfit in mind to wear on this day, and was going to wear a dress. However after constant rain overnight with our wild Brisbane weather it was actually a lot cooler and I decided that pants would be a better choice than a dress on a cold and wet day. Rather strange for January and the middle of summer! I couldn't even try take photos on the patio as the rain was really coming down! So I quickly grabbed pics of my outfit inside.I really liked the blush blazer with the burgundy pants. Remember a while ago when everyone in blog-land was all about the blush and burgundy combination? I really liked it even if I haven't worn it much, these burgundy pants were the perfect colourful choice with the pastel blazer. I couldn't decide on the perfect necklace with the striped tank and colourful outfit so I went with these pretty silver leaf earrings - a Christmas gift from my mum. I felt the earrings and the blush and burgundy made the outfit stand out enough.
Last worn: blush blazer, black and white striped tank, burgundy pants, black ballet flats, Balenciaga Part Time bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas present.
Other ways to wear: blush blazer and olive jeans, black and white striped tank and maxi skirt, burgundy pants worn two ways, black ballet flats and pencil skirts, Balenciaga Part Time bag and a-line skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: blush blazer in third trimester, burgundy pants in second trimester, black ballet flats in second trimester, Balenciaga Part Time bag in second trimester.
30 Ways To Wear: Balenciaga Part Time Bag
What I wore:
Necklace: Eye Candy LA 'Sasha' statement necklace
Dress: Asos grey skater dress
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bag: Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH
Why I wore it:
Again with the same blush blazer, black Balenciaga bag and black flats! This time around I had planned this outfit in advance - I wanted to stick with blush and black for the #whatshallweweartowork challenge Anna set for February. I didn't like this outfit as much as the one above though.I thought the grey skater dress and blush blazer would look really nice together, and while I like the pink and grey colour combo I think the pieces maybe don't look the best. I did pause in front of the mirror and consider changing my outfit, but I was - as always - short on time so wore it anyway!
It resulted in a really casual outfit for the office. Usually when I wear this dress to work I try formal it up a bit with a more structured blazer. I added the big statement necklace for a fun and fancy touch - and I did get some compliments on the outfit and necklace, but it still wasn't my fave and felt quite dressed down. I probably won't wear the blazer and dress together again.
Was nice to take advantage of a rare meeting free day at work though and be comfortable while I sat at my desk most of the day working away. It was another wet day with the streak of rainy days we had been having, but it was also humid and so hot in the morning so the dress was just perfect for the temps.
Last worn: blush blazer (above), crystal statement necklace, grey skater dress, black ballet flats (above), Balenciaga part time bag (above).
Other ways to wear: blush blazer and jeans, grey skater dress at Disneyland, black ballet flats and wrap dress, Balenciaga part time bag and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: blush blazer in first trimester, grey skater dress in second trimester, black ballet flats in third trimester, Balenciaga part time bag in second trimester.
Blush Blazers Under $50:
How You Can Wear It:
A blush blazer is a fun colour and a nice departure from a neutral black or grey. You can keep it simple and use the jacket as a colourful finishing touch on a neutral outfit like I have in the second outfit, or go a little bolder and pair the blush blazer with other colours like burgundy.Linking up with Fashion Files, Chic and Stylish, Lizzie In Lace, Fancy Friday.

I reaaaaally like the soft pink shade of this blazer; it looks ideal for taking from day-to-night with different accessories for each! Great styling! I hope you're having a fabulous week so far :)

That blazer is really lovely - it looks perfect paired with those different shades of grey as well. I've always been really drawn to that shade of blush (even though I rarely wear it myself).

Both of these are great! I love how you paired it with dark pieces in one look and lighter in another, it really makes the blazer totally different

It really does go with so much! :)
DeleteSuch a cute blazer. I find that blush pink can be hard to pair with things. I have a pair of blush pink pants and hardly wear them.

That blazer looks so great on you, and it's interesting to see all the fun way that a blazer can be worn. I have a black and white blazer and I feel like it's hard to find one that fits me well.

I definitely have to try them on before I buy! Jackets are tricky sometimes!
DeleteWhat a pretty blazer, and love the way you've styled it :)
ReplyDeleteI love this pastel pink blazer - that first outfit is excellent. I think the "skater dress" style of the second outfit is too casual for it - that dress needs a cardigan.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your ochre skirt! Wear it with blue or turquoise, I promise it will look good. :)
with blue was my first thought for how to wear it! I'll have that outfit up in a week or so I think :)
DeleteThat blazer is really cute! These outfits are giving me lots of inspiration for my blush cardigan! I really like how it looks with the grey dress-even though it doesn't seem to be your favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love baby pink / blush pink color. This is great!!

Yes, such days without meetings really have their advantages! Like both of the looks with the blush pink blazer and yes, it was really trendy a while ago to combine pink and burgundy :)
