Weekday Wear Link Up: Printed Tanks, Colourful Jeans and Converse

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, wearing one of the easiest outfits: jeans and a nice top! Pairing these printed tanks with colourful jeans for some bright winter outfits recently.

Quick update too: I managed to achieve No Buy July again this year, no new fashion purchases! First month of the slow fashion season #FashionDetox completed as well! I did go out for a day of shopping with my mum and sister the other weekend but didn't buy any clothes - came home with some skincare and two tops my mum bought me.

What I wore:

fern print tank, burgundy jeans, beige trench coat, converse, rebecca minkoff teal love too bag | awayfromblue

beige trench coat with Rebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather | awayfromtheblue

Jacket: Barkins beige trench coat
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Elissa leaf print tank
Jeans: Jeanswest Harper skinny pant in Russet
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

Wore this admittedly very casual outfit for another day in the office recently. Hybrid ways of working continue at my workplace with most people preferring to work from home, but we all took the opportunity to go into the office on this day so I could meet the Brisbane based people in my new project team. Most of them I've worked with before but it was good to see them all in person after over a year and meet some new faces I hadn't worked with before.

Didn't really want to go full corporate style because it was a cold day. Went with comfortable jeans and Converse and then this pretty fern print tank to dress the outfit up a little. Was good to get this trench coat out again as it didn't see much love last year with the 6 week March 2020 autumn lockdown. It's usually frequently worn for commuting in the colder months. I swapped it for a navy cardigan when I was in the office.

Since I wore this little croc Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag last time I was in the office, wore it again this time. I liked the deep teal colour against the navy and red print of the tank and it was really nice against the burgundy jeans.

Last worn: trench coat, fern print tank, Tiffany heart necklace, burgundy jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff deep teal Love Too bag.

Other ways to weartrench coat worn 30 ways, fern print tank and pencil skirt, burgundy jeans and kimono, Converse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff deep teal Love Too bag and maxi dress.

Perfect for pregnancycamel trench coat in first trimester, Converse in second trimester.

My Rebecca Minkoff Handbag Collection:

What I wore:

sass bide printed tank magenta straight leg jeans converse navy waterfall cardigan rebecca minkoff edie bag | awayfromblue

navy cardigan with Rebecca Minkoff Edie small crossbody bag in magenta | awayfromtheblue

Jacket: Jeanswest waterfall drape cardigan in navy night sky marle
Necklace: For King & Country Priceless Australian coin and crest necklace
Tank: Sass and Bide "For Easy Reference" tank
JeansSass & Bide The Winning Day Lovestate jeans in magenta
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie small crossbody bag in magenta

Why I wore it:

This was actually the cardigan I wore in the office on the day above! Liked it in that outfit so much I created a similar outfit for this quiet day of mum life. The Sass and Bide tank is quite light but the cardigan was thick enough to keep me cosy for the school run. I liked the neutral brown tank and navy cardigan with the bright magenta jeans too. These are such such fun winter staple. Again I went with Converse, blue ones this time to add even more colour to my outfit.

Swapped out the teal Love Too bag for another Rebecca Minkoff bag, this small Edie bag. I thought the magenta was a nice matchy-matchy with the jeans. Didn't need to carry much either, just the school run, then playground and library with the little one and his water bottle fit in the library tote nicely.

How You Can Wear It:

Colourful jeans are a great choice in winter to stay warm while wearing a bright and cheerful outfit. You can add even more interest to your outfit with a cute printed tank and a warm neutral cardigan or coat on top to combat the winter chill too.

  1. Hi,
I like such cardigans so much. Here in Austria summer is sometimes really cold, so I like to wear cardigans.
    Lovely greetings

  2. Well done for your no spend July! I bet it was exciting to go back to the office for a bit! I've not seen my colleagues in so long as I was working from home and then took maternity.

  9. I really like both of these outfits and the pretty color combo. Going to have to try navy and burgundy: I have a pair of similar jeans and I can't remember if I have paired the colors together before. Great job with your no buy July, I bought one pair of pants. Will see how I do in August!

  10. Congrats on achieving the no spend July. A hybrid solution is what most people here opt for as well - working from home has its perks, but sometimes it is nice to be in the office to see the colleagues.

  23. Your No Buy July is inspiring. It will be easy for me to follow here cos I had No Buy since March. Only essential shops (petrol, banks, groceries) are open so all I hav bought since March is groceries and skin care from pharmacies. I like your dark blue Rebecca Minkoff bag, in fact I like ALL your bags. Looks like good colourful combinations ready for Spring. The layers in striking colours show well esp that bright splash of magenta jeans. Traffic stopper!!

  51. Hey Mica,

Another great proposal, I like how you have an eye to combine colors. You're really good at it!

Another great feature in these looks is that if you have cold, you can always add an extra layer, these are really versatile options and I'd say that trench in the first look stole my heart, definitely a winter staple that you can keep using during many fall-winter seasons :)
