Why I wore it:
Had to break out the ankle boots as this day was so wet! A little frustrated I didn't get a great pic of this outfit as it was pouring with rain. But I loved the outfit and the ankle boots were a very practical choice!We had an important appointment for my son in the morning and then I decided to stop at our favourite opshop before I got home too. Regretted my decision to go to the opshop though as the rain got really heavy as I was driving and I ended up leaving the shop empty handed as nothing caught my eye. Luckily the rain had changed to a steady drizzle by the time I left though instead of the crazy downpour that happened while I was driving!
Did love my outfit though, this white denim jacket was a great topper with the blue floral tiered sundress and kept me warm despite all the rain. Although the Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag is a different shade of pink from the pastel on the floral print of the dress but I still thought it was a good combination. Just like the lilac necklace that didn't match the dress but was a nice third colour also.
Last worn: white denim jacket, blue tiered sundress, lilac beaded necklace, ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC.
Other ways to wear: white denim jacket and maxi skirt, knotted tee over blue tiered sundress, ankle boots and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC and culottes.

Why I wore it:
Thankfully I didn't have to drive around in really heavy rain on this day! Although it did rain it wasn't as bad as the day above. Still felt the need to layer up my sleeveless dress a little though to combat the chill when it rained, and this green floral duster was the perfect topper to keep my shoulders and arms warm.
This Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag is such a nice shade of teal and I really like wearing it with green, it works well with the duster. And of course it looks good with the chambray dress too that's the perfect neutral.
Added the navy tassel earrings to dress up my outfit a little, even though I was just a regular day with the school run, sports for the little one then sports for both boys again in the evening.

Denim jackets and duster kimonos are easy, light layers to add to a planned dress outfit when a wet and wild summer makes things a littler cooler than you expected.
Oh the rain! We have wet summer days too and dressing can be a challenge. The heat and rain make a yucky combo but you dressed in such pretty outfits. Great ideas!

I love my white denim jacket. I am really into wanting more dresses this year and so glad I have been finding one here and there at the consignment store. I actually got 2 swing knee length dresses while shopping with my mom at Jcpenney for about $3 each and she got them for me! I am going to try one of them with boots and a sweater as they are summer dresses.
