Maxi Dresses And Balenciaga First Bag

Again with this blue India Balenciaga first bag! I've been enjoying wearing it so much lately! Decided to wear it with two different shades of blue with two pretty printed maxi dresses.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I love the deep turquoisey-teal of this Balenciaga first bag and wanted to wear it with more blue - this navy printed maxi skirt was the perfect pairing. For another touch of colour I added a little bit of purple with the accessories - the beaded bracelets and the marble necklace. The gold and teal earrings kind of matched the bag and the rose gold sandals were the perfect matching shoe choice.

Wore this for a quiet Saturday, with swimming lessons and then lunch at my parents on the coast. My mum got out a bunch of old toys we had as kids, and it was a trip down memory lane and fun seeing my boys playing with them!

Last worn: navy printed maxi dress, marble necklace, rose gold sandals, Balenciaga blue India first bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas present.

Why I wore it:

My mum bought me this dress from Kmart just before Christmas and I decided to keep it as my Christmas day dress! I was eager to wear it again so I figured wearing it to church would be a good idea. I wasn't too sure about the Balenciaga first bag against the teal of the dress and kept trying the two together the day before. I decided to wear it anyway. I've matched my bags to my shoes, necklaces, scarves and jeans before so why not try matching to my maxi dress! Not sure I would try the combination again but it was fun to try! I added a few more bracelets to my bracelet stack too to match the print in the dress.

The first time I wore this dress I didn't belt it. This time around as it was a wet weekend I decided to try belting it ever so slightly, to keep the hem off the ground and away from any rain. Luckily I managed to get these photos before the rain started. It was nice for us to have some rain around with the drought and all the bushfires lately, it's been very welcome.

How You Can Wear It:

A printed maxi dress is an easy instant outfit. For something a little fun you can add more colour with your accessories. It could be as simple as bracelets that match the colours in the print, or adding a bright pop of colour with a completely different shade of bag like in the first outfit.

  9. That first navy black dress looks great on you. I like the earrings and necklace you wore with it. Wonderful accessories. This is a great Saturday look. I love to wear maxi dresses for weekends too. Swimming lessons sound fun. Are your boys enjoying them? I loved swimming as a kid/teen. So nice your mother got all your old toys out for your boys to play. That must have been such a nice trip down the memory lane. The second maxi you wore is also very pretty! I like the print and this shade of blue is so lovely. The India blue Balenciaga bag is gorgeous with both outfits. How nice you had a

  10. I love the color of both dresses and really can't pick a favorite, but the bag goes great with both of them - even the second one that's kind of close in color - it works! And I love in the first picture how you managed to color-coordinate with one of the kids' Big Wheels in the background :P I'm so glad you guys are finally getting that much-needed rain. I hope it gets the all of the fires under control :(

  11. Seeing yours, I really can't wait to wear my Summer maxi dresses, although it might be a while yet. I'm loving the deceptive simplicity of the first dress (that print is really rather love) worn with that gorgeous pendant. Your second dress, of course, ticks all my boxes. I can definitely see it with the red bag you wore at Christmas, in your featured post on the right. That would give it an extra pop! xxx

  24. Sweet friend, what darling looks. I like that the blue in the bag isn't matchy-matchy with the colors of your blue clothing. That KMart dress is just precious. Our KMarts are struggling over here, and the ones in El Paso have all closed. Hope yours are faring better.
The shape of that bag is unique. And I like all of the bling and buckles and hardware. Adds great interest.
I have a few toys that my girls played with that my granddaugthers are now enjoying. But toys have changed so much in 30 years. My granddaugthers much prefer their Elsa dolls to their mommies old Barbies!!
