Striped Tees and Colourful Skinny Jeans With Cross Body Bags In Winter

Winter weather means getting my fun collection of colourful denim out to enjoy! A simple striped tee and jeans outfit is easy mum style, with a cosy cardi on top for Brisbane's cold winter mornings.

What I wore:

wool maxi cardigan with green skinny jeans navy stripe tee converse LV speedy bag messy play mum style | awayfromblue

Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere | awayfromtheblue

Necklace: Uniquely Made with Love Sea Change necklace
TeeAtmos&Here navy stripe v-neck tee
Jeans: thrifted ASOS petite green skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere

Why I wore it:

I really struggled with what to wear when I pulled this outfit together! We had a messy play morning booked in for the boys, and I had some older clothes for them to wear. For me it was a little harder as I didn't want to get anything dirty 😅

Went with these green jeans as they are an opshop find and so not an expensive loss if they were ruined, this wool cardi that's already starting to look a little old and a striped tee to disguise any possible paint spills 😂 The Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere is waterproof and easy to wipe clean so that was an obvious choice.

The boys had a fun time and although they were covered in the fake 'mud' I managed to keep my outfit clean! There was none of the paint there was last time that refused to wash out of their clothes.

Last worn: grey maxi cardigan, beaded necklace, navy stripe tee, green skinny jeans, Converse, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere.

Other ways to weargrey maxi cardigan and maxi dress, navy stripe tee and flares, green skinny jeans and blue knit, Converse at disneyland, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere for international flight.

Perfect for pregnancy: navy stripe tee in third trimester, Converse in second trimester, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere in third trimester.

3 Must-Have Bags For Mums

Why I wore it:

A nice quiet stay at home mum day with the boys. We headed to our fave park in the morning, grabbed some groceries and then my aunt and uncle came over later in the afternoon to check out our new place. My uncle helped setup part of my wardrobe room too, it's a work in progress and I will share a video when it's all done!

Felt like it had been a while since I'd worn this striped tee, so got it out for another wear. With purple jeans for something different, and the blush pink Rebecca Minkoff Darren bag as I like pink and purple together. Easy outfit for a cooler day.

Last worn: black belted cardigan, stripe Coca Cola tee, purple skinny jeans, Converse (above), Rebecca Minkoff Darren messenger.

Other ways to wearblack belted cardigan and skater dress, stripe Coca Cola tee worn two ways, purple skinny jeans and kimono, Converse for international flight, Rebecca Minkoff Darren messenger and sundress.

Perfect for pregnancyblack belted cardigan and hidden baby bump, purple skinny jeans in the first trimester, Converse in third trimester.

How You Can Wear It:

A striped tee and jeans is a classic mum outfit. It works in warmer weather and in cooler weather you just need to add a cosy cardigan on top. For something a little different, you can try some brightly coloured jeans instead of the traditional blue denim.

  6. Haha, it's always funny trying to find something cute to wear but also something you don't mind ruining. I always have that issue when I go camping, I don't want to be in sweats or workout clothes the whole time so I have to figure out which clothes are okay to get gross or smell like fire

    1. Oh I'd imagine camping would be a little more challenging than a messy play morning as more time to factor in, haha!

I don't know what that is but it sounds awesome and you're such a sweet mum to join in and still remain flawless. And yay to colorful denims for winter :D xx
