What I wore:
Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings
Necklace: double circle hammered pendant necklace
Tee: Anko Kmart short sleeve slub v-neck tee in copper
Skirt: thrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
Bag: Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki
Why I wore it:
Nice and colourful for working from home, with sports for the kids in the evenings. I like wearing maxi skirts as it is an extra cover on my legs from the inevitable mossie attack - no matter how much bug spray I cover myself in, ha!This copper toned tee is really autumnal with the ochre orange maxi skirt. I like wearing this skirt with rust and red and burgundy shades, so I really loved this outfit. Especially with the brown Converse, gold statement necklace and the gold hardware on the Chloe Ethel bag. It all felt perfect for a cooler autumn day.
Surprisingly it's the first time I've shared this denim jacket on the blog, a Christmas gift from the annual pre-Christmas opshopping day. It's a nice relaxed fit and will be perfect for layering under when the winter weather arrives here shortly in Brisbane.
Last worn: clay earrings, copper tee, circle necklace, ochre maxi skirt, brown Converse, Chloe Ethel bag. First time I've worn the denim jacket as it was a Christmas present.
Other ways to wear: copper tee and skirt, ochre maxi skirt and knit, brown Converse and animal print, Chloe Ethel bag and dress.
Jacket: Jeanswest Kitty denim biker jacket
Earrings: Michael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: thrifted rose gold station statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Skirt: Jeanswest Farrah blue tie dye maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:
This was a mixed day, with the Anzac parade and ceremony in the morning (my boys were marching in the parade) and then a playdate for my son in the afternoon. Despite the rainy weather it wasn't too cold so I went for this maxi skirt to be neither over or underdressed for either occasion. I like the tie dye print on the skirt, although it's the first time I've worn this grey tee with it! I like pairing it with greys and neutrals so it was nice to give this combination a try.I went with my Chloe Marcie bag to store all our water bottles plus the essentials, and then I chose this rose gold necklace. It's definitely not the true gold shade of the hardware on the Chloe Marcie bag, but I like pairing different metals together, and thought this was a good accessory pair.

I feel your pain about the mosquitos! I look polka-dotted by the time they get done with me, haha, and I always blow up like a balloon every time they get me too. I hate those things!! Your skirt is so pretty in the first look, and love these denim jackets!

Love this colourful look for a work from home day! The copper coloured shirt is gorgeous and I love it with that beautiful maxi skirt as well. Also, what a gorgeous purse. The gold details are beautiful. That denim jacket is a wonderful piece! I am sure you will get lots of wear out of it. I hope you have a great weekend <3

Love the denim jacket in both looks! I adore the contrast of the copper with the blues in the first look.

I love your outfits. Maxi skirts and dresses are so practical. Both outfits are lovely but if I had to pick a favourite one, it would be the orange and copper styling.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I like the subtle waves in your hair.
ReplyDeleteI'm hearing you on wearing maxi skirts to ward off pesky insects attacking one's legs :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite of your outfits is the first one. Your denim jacket is gorgeous (and very similar to mine) and I think the ochre maxi and copper tee are just perfect with it. I'm also swooning over that necklace! xxx
