Printed Dresses and Prune Rebecca Minkoff MAC Bag

Sharing two navy dresses and ankle boots outfits I wore back in May, accessorised with this adorable prune Rebecca Minkoff MAC that I got for Mother's Day.

What I wore:

Necklace: personalised gold children's names charm necklace
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual plus pearl and rose gold bracelet stack
BagRebecca Minkoff prune MAC with pom pom and tassel keychain

Why I wore it:

Wore this to spend Mother's Day down the coast with my family. It was such a fun day and thankfully the middle of the day was rain free so we got to spend a little time outdoors too. I had to wear this new Rebecca Minkoff MAC bag that the boys got me for Mother's Day - I couldn't believe it when I found this discontinued style on eBay, brand new with tags! Convinced hubby I needed it for Mother's Day 😂 The little pom pom tassel charm on it is a cute keyring that the kids got me from the Mother's Day shopping stall at school too.

Although the bag doesn't match the print in this dress I thought it complimented the oranges and reds in the autumn leaf print nicely. And the tan ankle boots were a perfect bit of matchy-matchy with the dress print!

Last worn: Jasse autumn leaves dress, gold necklace, bracelet stacktan ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff prune MAC.

Other ways to wearJasse autumn leaves dress and sneakers, tan ankle boots and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff prune MAC and double denim.

Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual plus old beaded black bracelet stack

Why I wore it:

This was a much quieter weekend day, but again I went with a navy printed dress and the prune MAC for a pop of colour. As it was a very cold and wet day I added this leopard print scarf too. I like wearing leopard print scarves with this navy striped shift dress, it's a fun way to introduce a little print mixing. With the neutral colours in the scarf and the navy and black stripes on the dress and black ankle boots, this was a very muted outfit. Again the Rebecca Minkoff MAC was the perfect accessory to brighten up my outfit.

Had some books due back at the library and more to pick up - sadly no opportunity for the park or playground as it was such a wet day, but the kids are never bored at the library and we brought home lots of books to read through the wet weekend!

Last worn: navy striped shift dress, black beaded bracelets, black ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff prune MAC (above). First time I've worn the leopard print scarf as it was a Christmas gift.

How You Can Wear It:

A colourful crossbody bag like this Rebecca Minkoff MAC is a fun pop against a navy dress. Even if your navy dress has a more colourful print on it like in the first outfit, a bright bag can still work with your outfit - it doesn't have to match!

  4. Hello,
Sorry I didn't participate in your link up, but I had some problems this week! As for your looks, I'm sorry, but you know I don't wear navy blue, because it's the color I don't like, but it looks good with your blue eyes, I liked the first look better!

  13. Looks great. The bag strap looks a little too long for you. Is there a way to shorten it? Or is it just the camera angle...? Nice burst of colour with the dresses tho.

    1. It's really easy to shorten - I have a video on it! But I like this length as I mostly wear it crossbody. I don't always wear crossbody bags crossbody when I'm getting an outfit pic though.

  16. I love the dark floral of that dress! How fun that you found a discontinued RM bag! The pom pom keychain is a great addition. :) I used to live for trips to the library and the bookstore when I was a kid! Once I discovered The Babysitter’s Club, it was impossible to get me out of the bookstore without a new BSC book (…or three! Haha).

BTW, I'm so behind on my art project right now - I have committed to working on it every night after work until I finish so that I can get started on your bag, which is calling to me!
