Jeans: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD

Why I wore it:
So happy this day arrived - vaccination day! I'd been on the waitlist at Queensland health for over 9 weeks waiting for under 40s to be eligible, and for the vaccines to finally arrive in Australia. When I got that email that I was eligible to book a vaccine I was so pleased! In fact as this post goes live I've already got my second Pfizer dose. (Or Pfiiizer if you're a fan of Jimmy Rees like I am!)You can register here if you're in Queensland to get your vaccine via Qld Health: https://www.vaccinebookings.health.qld.gov.au/registerforvaccination/. Or try hotdoc for a GP vaccine appointment, or your local pharmacy.
Because it was such a nice day we decided to make the most of it. I was booked into the Southbank hub so hubby took the kids to the playground while I got my shot and then we met up and had a wander around the museum after. Was such a good day!
Thought it was the perfect chance to wear this cute floral print cami that mum picked up for me in the H&M winter sale - just $5! I couldn't quite figure out the tie though, better luck next time maybe! I added the kimono for a little shoulder coverage in the sun and because it was easy to drop down for the vaccine.
First wearing of the Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo bag too, perfect for fitting all my essentials and my water bottle inside.
Last worn: earrings, crochet trim kimono, diamond necklace, heart necklace, grey skinny jeans, New Balance sneakers. First time I've worn the floral knot front cami as it is a recent gift from my mum, and first time I've worn the Rebecca Minkoff cobalt jumbo Love bag as it is a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: crochet trim kimono and maxi dress, grey skinny jeans worn 30 ways, New Balance sneakers and dress.
Jacket: no label white drape jacket
Necklace: Lovisa mixed texture beaded necklace
Top: H&M mint v-neck cami
Jeans: Sass & Bide Playman skinny jeans
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt
Last worn: white waterfall jacket, long bead necklace, Sass & Bide chevron print jeans, black ballet flats, Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love bag (above). First time I've worn the mint cami as it is a recent gift from my mum.
Other ways to wear: white waterfall jacket and little black dress, Sass & Bide chevron print jeans with pink and blue, black ballet flats in the office.
Perfect for pregnancy: white waterfall jacket in third trimester, black ballet flats in second trimester.

Why I wore it:
Another new cami! I like this one as the cami as I don't have a lot of mint in my wardrobe and it's made with 55% recycled plastic. I'd been talking to a lady the night before who mentioned that some recycled fabrics aren't very breathable or comfortable so I was a little concerned. Luckily because this is a loose cami, it was a delight to wear! As I've given more than a few of the kids ruined, torn or stained clothes to the H&M recycling program I like the idea that I might be wearing some of those recycled fabrics, although I know it's unlikely. This felt a little dressed up for the school run, sports for the kids and a playdate, but it was nice for a change - I've only worn this necklace to the office before. I wore my old fave black ballet flats as once I added the necklace to this outfit, I knew my Converse would just be too casual!
The only thing I didn't like about this outfit is that the cami looks a bit long in the pics, petite girl problems! Maybe I should have tucked it into the jeans, but I still loved wearing this though.

How You Can Wear It:
Spring means light coverups instead of full jackets, and bringing out the spaghetti strap tops like these cute camis. You can't go wrong with jeans either!

So happy you were able to finally get vaccinated! Absolutely love the first look! Your bag is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
Me too! Been such a long wait here for vaccines in Australia!
DeleteOoooo...I love both camis, Mica! Your mum has such great taste too...I can see where your style taste comes from:) You look great in both outfits, and love the accessories to boot. And yay for being fully vaccinated:) I've been reading how your PM botched the whole vaccine thing, and TBH, I felt like a lot of politicians worldwide handled this the wrong way, but hey....the important thing is finally getting it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday:)
Yes my mum does have great taste! And so true - at least I have the vaccine now no matter what stuff ups there were along the way!
DeleteThat is such a great size bag!! Yay for vaccination day! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteCute looks! Love the white kimono.
ReplyDeleteArent you just glad you are finally vaccinated! It feels safe doesn't it. Love the look! Have a great start of the week!
ReplyDeleteYes it's so good to have it! Still Covid 0 here in the community in Queensland, but it's good to know I'm safe if the outbreak in Sydney reaches Brisbane.
DeleteI love my gray jeans. I don't think I have paired any of my kimonos with it yet. Cooler weather, please come! HOpe you have a great week!

Love the cami your mother got you and the cute white kimono with it.

yay for vaccination day! I was so excited to get mine and I felt terrible after each one - ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteMy arm was so sore after the first shot and the fevers and tiredness and nausea were so bad with the second, but luckily I was fine after a day!
DeleteI really like the colour of your bag,
ReplyDeleteit suits you very well and you created nice outfits!
Hope you are having a good day!

Hello
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed and surprised at you, do you have two new tops???
I liked the first top most, I liked the knot detail!
Congratulations on the vaccine, I've already had the second dose of the vaccine from Pfiiiizer eheheh!!
As for the second look I imagine that these pants are not easy to match due to their pattern, but the look was also beautiful!

Yes my mum bought them for me - I'm so happy to get to wear them now the weather is warmer! :) I'm now fully vacced as well - such a long wait for vaccines to arrive in Australia for everyone!
DeleteWOO HOO, I'm so happy you've gotten both of your jabs, Mica! Doesn't it feel great? It was such a huge relief for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of your pretty tops - the first one looks really nice (good neckline on you). I'd be tempted to tuck those ties into the front of your jeans - they just kind of hang there limply. The colour of the second top is so pretty on you - it reads as more of a grey-ish green to me, so it goes so well with your zigzag jeans. Hooray for real shoes! I hope your knee was okay.
It's highly unlikely that you're wearing any recycled clothing - H&M tends to reprocess plastic (like the soft kind in plastic bottles) into fibres and respin them (which uses a ton of water/energy). Unfortunately, plastic does not break down, so more microplastics get into the environment from that process. I totally get the allure of a nice new top, especially a washable one, though. It seems we can never win!
If you are wanting to find tops in washable fabrics that aren't harmful to the environment, I would recommend looking for hemp garments. Hemp wears like iron, breathes and is fully washable. It does tend to be expensive, but worth it for things you wear/wash a lot.
Have a wonderful week, my dear friend!
Yes I'm pleased I'm fully vaccinated now - even though there aren't cases in the community I'll feel safer if the otubreak in Sydney moves up here to Brisbane! :)
DeleteThat is true about the tops - it's recycled waste but it doesn't say where the waste came from. I think plastic in bottle form is easier to recycle than plastic in clothing form (polyester), at least based on that Dana Thomas book I was reading recently!
I love your first outfit. So cute. That top is really cute. Love your bag!!!
ReplyDeleteLindo look, me gusta la cartera y la blusa son bellas. Me alegro que estés vacunada. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteI've had my first vaccine too, same as your one. What a relief. Auckland New Zealand (where I live) is still in level four lockdown.
ReplyDeleteI hope things get safer for you soon and lockdown is lifted - the Sydney outbreak has been so far reaching :(
DeleteGlad to hear you get your vaccination, you must feel relieved and saf(er). You put together two great outfits, I love your new cami tops and that bag is such a wonderful shade of blue! Have a good week and thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteWooow, lot's of fun! hehe :) I had a wedding last saturday also! hehe. Can't wait to show you new outfits with my new vichy bag! ;) Kss

Love the first cami. YA for getting your vaccinations. I'm still waiting for the to come out for one for younger children.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.amysfashionblog.com/blog-home
yes I'm looking forward to that too Amy! We have enough vaccines now at last that anyone 12 or older can get them but they are waiting for the results of studies in Europe and the US to see if they will roll it out to younger kids.
DeleteCongrats on the vaccination!
ReplyDeleteH & M have some good stuff. I've got a few items bought at their Sales, and I'm quite satisfied with them.
The blue bag is gorgeous, a delight to the eye! And the necklace is a lovely addition to the outfit!
I haven't been a big H&M shopper but I had fun looking at the sale items with my mum - I need to look there more often I think!
DeleteHow cool that the cami is made of recycled material. We just got some footwear that is like that.

yes it's nice there are more pieces like that coming out.
DeleteSuch a lovely top! The colors really make your eyes pop! Ah, those vaccinations are such a relief, aren’t they? I am still cautiously re-entering life. We (Nigel and I) are approaching the time of a booster should one be needed. That does make me feel guilty as so many haven’t received their first jabs not to mention the naysayers here who refuse to get one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link party!
We didn't have enough vaccine for everyone for so long, it's only just been opened up to people 12 and over this month. I think it's good there is enough supply for you to have boosters :)
DeleteI really love both outfits, but I had no idea how Australia was doing their vaccine roll out. I hate that you had to wait so long for it, but I'm glad you were able to get it. :)
ReplyDeletelove is zero
Now that we started swapping vaccines and buying expiring vaccines from countries that were better prepared we have done a lot better, haha! This month everyone over 12 became able to book in for a vaccine which is good news that we have the supply!
DeleteLos dos outfit son muy lindos, te vez muy bien, saludos:D
ReplyDeleteLovely outfits, good to hear you got both Pfizer shots!
ReplyDeleteThe Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love Bag is absolutely adorable!! Love both outfits x

Yay for vaccinations. I was so excited when I got notification I could sign up. It's great to have that done, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes I'm pleased it's done so that I'll feel safer if we get an outbreak of cases here in Queensland - still no cases here at the moment.
DeleteI'm so happy you were able to get vaccinated! I'll be up for my booster shot soon I think. I hope they are readily available here!
ReplyDeleteit certainly sounds like the US has enough supply to be considering boosters :) We are months away from that here in Australia.
DeleteCongratulations on your vaccination! Don't you feel so relieved now? You wore the perfect top for it too!

I really love your first outfit.Yay for vaccination. I've had mine too. Your mask is cute, I need to get a new one really as it's just bright white and I'm not a fan!
ReplyDeleteCorinne x
Since mask rules are in place here any time we go indoors I have quite a few masks to rotate through while the one I wore the day before is being washed!
DeleteToo cute the outfits you look fabulous
ReplyDeleteI'm loving both your new camis, and my favourite outfit is the one you built around the floral one. So glad to hear you got your first vaccine shot! xxx

Hello Mica, I hope you're having a lovely week so far!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for this big moment! So good that you were able to take your vaccine shot! I got mine last July and I feel a bit more protected now. Hope we can go back to "normal" little by little but we still have to take care (avoid crowds, washing hands, etc.)
I think it was a great idea to set a nice outfit for this special day, this look is full of happiness and I loved the blue touches!
Pablo
www.HeyFungi.com
Aside from having to wear a mask indoors there aren't really any restrictions here in Queensland as there are no cases in the community, only in quarantine, so we are safe and the world is back to normal again here - it has been for most of the time. We are very lucky :) Of course we still distance and be careful about sanitising and washing hands with the masks though!
DeleteCongratulations on the jab. Very happy for you
ReplyDeleteI love that little lacy trim detail on the first cardigan. Both these outfits are so cute.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your vaccine! That blue bag is just a gorg color! Really pops in both those outfits!

ReplyDeleteI love your bag. Great colour :)
ReplyDeleteI am always blown away by how stylish you are. As I so often say, you put me to shame.
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing. Both outfits are great. How did you feel after both your shots? I was very ill and still not 100% 4 months later :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you find a solution and you feel better soon! My arm was so sore after my first one, and after the second my arm didn't hurt as much but the tiredness and nausea and fevers were pretty bad. Passed after a day though so I was very lucky! I haven't heard of anyone having the side effects for more than a day :(
DeleteCheers to getting vaccinated! I'm so happy for you! Your bright blue bag is a gorgeous piece that looks so good with both of your outfits, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great week so far!

I am so excited for you!!!! Hopefully the rollout continues on at a good pace and you are able to get as many people vaccinated soon. They just opened it for my daughter who will turn 12 before the new year so she is our last one to be fully vaccinated. Anyway, I love that cobalt blue purse. It's beautiful and makes a great statement, and goes so well with that first top.

That's awesome! we just opened it up for everyone 12 and older here this month - it's been such a slow progress here in Australia as we didn't have enough vaccines! Thankful to the countries selling us expiring vaccines and the countries swapping vaccines with us so we can have some now and we can give them our supply when it arrives next year as promised.
