White Tees, Blue Maxi Skirts and Blush Pink Darren Bag

A maxi skirt and tee is an easy outfit formula to repeat over and over, and I've certainly been doing so lately! I recently wore these two blue maxi skirts with sneakers and some white tees, and added a little extra colour with my blush pink Rebecca Minkoff Darren bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: rose gold and turquoise beaded necklace
Tee: thrifted Kmart abstract blob print tee
SkirtNoisy May long denim maxi skirt
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
BagRebecca Minkoff small Darren messenger bag in peony (more affordable preowned!)

Why I wore it:

Wore this for another park day with the kids. It was a bit of a strange day, cloudy and threatening to rain, so I figured we'd best get to the playground as early as possible hoping to get some energy out before the rain set in.

This abstract print tee is a fun thrift find that was definitely overdue a wear, and this chambray maxi skirt I scored on sale a few years ago was overdue a wear too! I hit 30 wears with it a while back and it's a keeper in my wardrobe! I liked the pastel blues in the print of the tee with the chambray of the skirt, and the blush Rebecca Minkoff Darren bag matched the blush in the print of the tee nicely too. The turquoise beaded necklace is a different shade from the pastel blue in the tee but I still thought it was a nice combination.

This was comfortable and suitably covered up for our time at the playground - last time I was there I struggled finding suitably shady spots to sit and watch the kids play at times so I liked the physical sunblock on my legs with the long maxi skirt.

Why I wore it:

This is my second Jimmy Rees Pfiiizer tee! I may have tagged a few people in his videos over 2020 and 2021, so I was spoiled with a few things from his merch line for Christmas! Much like the last time I wore my grey Pfiiizer tee, I knew exactly when I would wear this one! It was a quiet working from home day, with a little break in the afternoon to head out and get my booster jab. I figured the tee would make the doctor or nurse smile!

The white tee matches the white stripes on this navy maxi skirt perfectly, and the red print adds a little extra colour, but I still felt this needed more so I added the blush Darren bag for a subtle touch of colour, and the bright blue Converse too. This tee and maxi skirt combination was so comfortable for working from home, and I just added the accessories when I went out for my appointment.

Last worn: navy stripe maxi skirt, blue Converse, blush Rebecca Minkoff Darren messenger bag (above). First time I've worn the tee as it was a Christmas gift.

Other ways to wearnavy stripe maxi skirt in monochrome outfit, blue Converse and pink dress, blush Rebecca Minkoff Darren messenger bag and midi dress.

How You Can Wear It:

Blue and white always work well together, and most people have a classic white tee in their wardrobe. You can easily pair a printed white tee with a plain maxi skirt as I have in the first outfit, or introduce a little extra print with a striped skirt like in the second outfit. Like white tees, stripes go with everything!

  2. I love how different this bag looks with both outfits! Blue maxi skirt looks so good, I am looking for similar piece for myself. It always wonders me how much color works in any outfit. When I was younger I thought dusty pink bags are hard to wear and the color is pain to work with. In time I realized it's probably the easiest color to wear for me, it goes with anything being super flexible.

  3. Your graphic tee is cute and I bet your doctor and nurse got a kick out of it. A chambray denim maxi skirt is a great idea, like wearing denim but much cooler - great idea!

  9. Maxi skirts and tees are true staples in Summer, and I particularly love the chambray maxi skirt in the first outfit. No wonder you already hit 30 wears with it. Still looking for the perfect chambray maxi skirt match myself :-) The thrifted tee is just perfect with it. And of course you had to wear the Pfiiizer tee to get your booster! xxx

  12. I really like the first outfit, Mica - your use of pastels to pull it all together is next-level! The chambray skirt is gorgeous, and I'm remembering a big one I used to have...ah, so pretty. Physical sunblock is always my preference over chemicals.

I can't see the logo on the second tee, so it didn't register at all as a statement tee for me. Excellent call on adding the accessories to zhuzh it up! Yay for your booster shot!

  18. I really like the splatter shirt in that first outfit! It's lovely pastel colors work so well with the blue of the maxi skirt. You always make me wish for a maxi skirt/dress, every time I see you wearing one of them.

  20. I love the color of your bag. I have a very similar shade in a Michael Kors bag that I tend to use in the spring. Right now I'm on a navy blue bag, but I'm itching to break out the pink one again soon.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!
