What I wore:
Tee: Atmos&Here rolled sleeve oversized tee in wine (similar in black)
Jeans: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag: Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH
Why I wore it:
Jeans and a tee, a SAHM staple for a day with the kids! We had a few errands to run and spent some time at the library and playgroup. A really relaxed day.The outfit felt a little plain though so I added the navy printed scarf for a subtle extra colour, and it was a nice layer for autumn. Even if I ended up taking it off in the middle of the day!
Picked my Balenciaga part time bag to wear as I've been feeling I've been passing over them a lot lately in favour of smaller bags. I liked the size of this one as it easily handled everyone's water bottles, a change of clothes for the boys in case of accidents and some baby wipes.
Last worn: navy mixed print scarf, burgundy slouchy tee, grey skinny jeans, Havaianas, Balenciaga part time bag.
Other ways to wear: navy mixed print scarf and shorts, burgundy slouchy tee and maxi skirt, grey skinny jeans and navy blouse, Balenciaga part time bag and printed dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: burgundy slouchy tee in second trimester, Balenciaga part time bag in second trimester.
What's In My Bag: Balenciaga Part Time Bag
What I wore:
Tee: Jeanswest Emily cotton v-neck tee in coral
Jeans: Nobody Denim Siren skinny super high-rise jeans in power black denim (c/o)
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag: Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH
Why I wore it:
I absolutely loved this outfit! I feel it looks a bit off in the photos because I decided to leave the tee untucked over the jeans when I'd normally tuck it in. These nobody denim skinny jeans are quite high waisted so I thought leaving the coral tee untucked was better. This pretty striped scarf was a Christmas gift from my mum and I was excited to wear it. I wasn't sure how the blush in the print would work with the coral tee but I really liked the combination.
After a few stressful weeks, I had a fun day out shopping with my mum and the boys, getting a few more last minute must-haves off our list for our upcoming trip.
Last worn: coral v-neck tee, black skinny jeans, Havaianas (above), Balenciaga black part time bag (above). First time I've worn the scarf as it was a gift.
Other ways to wear: coral v-neck tee and maxi skirt, black skinny jeans and blazer, Balenciaga black part time bag worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Balenciaga black part time bag in second trimester.
Printed Scarves Under $50:
How You Can Wear It:
Printed scarves are the perfect way to add a little extra touch to an outfit. Jeans and a tee is a mum staple, and if you pick plain block colour jeans or a tee then you don't need to worry about the print on the scarf clashing with anything. Such a simple way to accessorise in autumn.

Happy Friday, Mica! Though the first outfit (sans scarf) is plain, I think the gray color of the jeans makes it interesting. You don't really see many gray jeans out there but they look really great. The scarf is just the icing. For the second outfit, I really like the shirt un-tucked. It makes the jeans look like leggings. It's a little dressier look. The corals in the scarf pop more with the color of the shirt. And the bag is lovely....I love all of the accents and that it can double as a really fancy "diaper bag". I hope you have a really great weekend!

You always have such great bags! I love these one, too!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm so ready to chill out a little!
You are so right, a scarf makes immediately each look more interesting! Both of your looks are the proof. And I understand why you especially loved the second look. I agree btw that the untucked shirt was a good decision.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend.

Scarves are so versatile, aren't they, and I often find that adding a scarf can do so much for any outfit. I've got loads of scarves, they are quite plentiful and cheap in the charity shops (Op-shops) here. My favourite is your first one. I do see what you mean about the second outfit, even though its components are fine. The proportions of the first outfit are indeed better. I never know what to do when wearing high-waisted trousers or skirts ... Have a lovely weekend, Mica! xxx
ReplyDeleteThe second outfit is my fave, I just love the colors!!! Happy Friday Mica, I hope you have a great weekend!! x

I love printed scarves too. You always wear them so well. Great outfits both of them. The grey jeans are so pretty and they look great with that top and scarf. The second pair of high waisted jeans looks nice as well. The Balenciaga bag looks lovely and it's great you can put so much stuff it. It's always nice when a bag offer lots of storage.
ReplyDeleteYour scarves look so pretty with your outfits :) You look fabulous!

WOW! I'm so into your coral red and black outfit here. It's made you look edgy and a bit different than the feminine looks you usually wear. I really like it a lot. The way you made these outfits pop with the scarves is just awesome. Those prints are eye-catching and you look wonderful! I don't wear scarves much here as it gets really hot quick, haha. But I'd love to wear them like you do should I go somewhere cooler :D xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove that you accessorised with a scarf! Oh, and the bag too, of course. Great post!

THE STYLE CONTOUR
These scarves are so stunningly stylish, I adore the way you're rocking both! The navy works so well against the wine hues of your tee whilst your bag adds so much effortless chic to the look :) I'm totally crushing on your coral tee too, such a punchy, fun and vibrant shade! The blush tones of your scarf are gorgeous against it! ♥︎
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a wonderful weekend and have a magical Monday! :)

I really like scarves to dress up an outfit, but I admit I have never worn them with havanas. If it is warm enough for those, I usually don't even think about scarves.
ReplyDeleteI try to wear my Havaianas as much as possible, haha!
DeleteI'm so happy that it's cooled down enough for scarves! Both of these scarves are so pretty and look great how you've styled them. Hope you're having a wonderful trip! XXX
ReplyDeleteYes scarf weather was so welcome after that hot summer and autumn!
