Jacket: Temt Black trench coat
Scarf: Liquorish owl print scarf in grey
Dress: Asos tulip skirt dress in red
Belt: Kmart thin black glitter belt
Shoes: Wittner 'Bloomy' black heels
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes Kelly Double tour bracelet in rubis, gifted Balenciaga classic pearly grey double tour bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey
Nice colourful red dress to kick off the week. My Monday actually started off okay, despite the rain. Had a meeting first thing, and we were provided with cupcakes! Good way to start a day full of meetings. :)
Also had to give a presentation in the afternoon, so wore heels for a bit of a confidence boost. A few of us in the office are learning, practising, and getting some pointers on presenting. It's terrifying, but helpful too. My first attempt was recorded and it's so awkward to watch, but good to see so many things I can improve. Got a lot of constructive feedback as well. Hopefully over time I'll get over my fear of public speaking!
Last worn: Black trench coat, owl print scarf, red Asos dress, Wittner ankle-strap heels, RM mini Morning After Bag.

Here's what I wore to work today:
Jacket: Asos Black by Markus Lupfer printed leather jacket
Scarf: black and blue Alexander McQueen paisley print scarf
Dress: French Connection 'Kay' houndstooth shift dress
Shoes: Asos Cleo leather boots in black
Bracelets: the usual plus studded and chain link Oroton leather bracelets
Bag: Alexander Wang Rocco with gold hardware in dark argon
Linking up with Style Elixir, My Style Monday, What I wore Wednesday, and Fashion and Faith.
The cold and rainy weather continued today, so I decided to wear boots with this dress. I'm never too sure if long boots are too casual for the office or not? I've seen a few ladies at work wearing them, and they are very practical in this weather so gave them a go today. For a day without meetings it seemed okay. Tied my scarf a new way a colleague taught me yesterday, sits so nice with the opening of the jacket.
What do you think of the boots and dress combo as office wear?
Last worn: Leather jacket, Alexander McQueen scarf, French Connection shift dress, Asos Cleo boots, Alexander Wang Rocco.

I reckon boots and dress are great combo together! If you work in a conservative setting then opt for opaque tight but you can definitely funck it up by servicing into some brighter right like red and purple :)
ReplyDeleteI love this gray MAM! It's such a nice bonus to find out a little drizzle of rain doesn't hurt it either <3
It's funny, I was looking at the bright tights the other day....but I think I'll stick with black and be boring, haha.
DeleteI wear boots and dresses to the office all winter long. I really like this look. Both your outfits are great. The color combos especially, and that cute owl scarf!
ReplyDeleteWow I still can not get over how cool it is there. NOT here! Ha! Well you look great as usual. : )

Love this look - and the owl print scarf is awesome!:)
ReplyDeleteRed and grey look superb together - oh and public speaking... is dreadful.
ReplyDeleteBut you are a smart girl so I am sure you will be good at it. Just takes a little practice.
Whenever I have had to do any public speaking, I make sure I am dressed impeccably - nothing tight, no cleavage, hair pulled back or in its place, so there is no distraction. It also gives me confidence.
One thing I avoid is bright lipstick - oh and I usually have my hands together.
Thanks so much for the tips Lorena! We had to practice moving our hands around in the speech so it was very difficult, I usually don't do that. Something I can improve though :)
DeleteI love your Asos jacket! Moto jackets are my weakness but it's hardly ever cool enough here in Texas to wear one! :P
ReplyDeleteGrey, how I love it.. (Need to add some back into my wardrobe..)
ReplyDeleteYour blue ensemble is lovely!
I love that you mix designer with KMart :)

ReplyDeleteYES!!! Trench weather is the best weather. It almost makes me want to move to the UK just so I can wear my trench more often. I have the liqourish scarf in moustache print! Did you pick it up from eBay??
