Kmart Orange Linen With Blue Tees, Statement Necklaces, and LV Neverfull Tote

Two fun orange and blue outfits, both featuring the Kmart linen blend pieces I picked up at the opshop back in December, with my big practical Lous Vuitton Neverfull tote bag.

What I wore:

navy tee and orange kmart linen shorts outfit with turquoise necklace and LV damier neverfull | awayfromtheblue

Louis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull with navy and orange outfit | awayfromblue

Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
TeeAtmos & Here Avery marle tee in navy
Shorts: thrifted Kmart cumin linen blend pull on shorts
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs waxed leather cream howlite beaded wrap bracelet
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

I loved this outfit but it was not the best day! Another hot summer day called for an easy shorts and tee outfit, and these linen blend Kmart paperbag waist shorts are great in the heat.

I tucked in this navy tee so it would show off the waist detail on the pants, but still felt this outfit was missing a little something. The turquoise necklace doesn't match anything in the outfit but I felt it was the perfect accessory with this! Simple for tackling a few more back to school errands off the list - the Louis Vuitton Neverfull had water bottles and snacks inside to keep the kids happy while we got everything done.

We did have a productive day and got everything we needed for the upcoming school year, but I was also attacked and bitten very badly by an escaped dog in the afternoon so that made for a very bad day! A little hobbling around for a bit and some nasty bruises for a couple weeks, but all good now thankfully.

Last worn: navy tee, turquoise multi strand necklace, Kmart Linen shorts, Havaianas, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

Other ways to wearnavy tee and maxi skirt, Kmart Linen shorts at the beach, Louis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton Neverfull at 38 weeks.

Why I wore it:

This was a fun day! It was super hot, but our friends house we were going to for lunch had a pool, so we got to take advantage of the beautiful weather without overheating! I'd usually just throw on a dress for over my bikini for a pool day but wanted to give this linen skirt I'd thrifted another wear - and it being linen, was so light and perfect for a hot day.

Like in the first outfit, I wasn't too sure if this orange necklace would work, it's a very different shade from the deep rust of the skirt, but I think it added a nice pop of brightness to my outfit. And I didn't have to worry about it if it got splashed by the side of the pool!

Last worn: washed blue tee, thrifted orange necklace, linen button down skirt, Havaianas (above), Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above).

Other ways to wearwashed blue tee and maxi skirt, linen button down skirt with stripes, Louis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 times.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton Neverfull in third trimester.

How You Can Wear It:

Orange and blue - in any combination of shades - is such a cheerful pairing!

  2. Oh, excellent job on the statement necklaces, Mica! The turquoise really pops (frankly, you can rarely go wrong with a pop of turquoise!), and the orange necklace balances out the toning orange skirt. Love the high paper-bag waists - you look lovely and cool! Hope your week is going well, my friend!

  3. Ouch, being attacked and bitten by a dog not only sounds painful, but quite scary too :-( Thankfully all is good now!
Being invited for lunch by friends with a pool definitely sounds fun, and the outfit you wore for it is my favourite of the two. I'm loving that skirt so much! xxx

  4. I do love the combo of orange and blue. (Sometimes I like to push it and do orange and purple, but the shades have to be right for it to work.) Sorry about being attacked by a dog. Scary stuff.
