What I wore:
Necklace: rose gold and turquoise beaded necklace
Tee: Sass and Bide 'New Day Rising' tee in orange leopard print
Skirt: Nobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware
Why I wore it:
After a rainy day previously, everything was still a little wet but it was shaping up to be a sunny and dry day so we headed to another bike track for the kids to get some of their energy out. they were even able to have a play in the adjacent playground after as everything dried up quickly.
I absolutely adore this Sass and Bide neon leopard print tee but I wear it so rarely, it definitely should be one I reach for more often. It works so well with denim so I knew it would look nice with this distressed Nobody Denim skirt. With the black denim skirt, black New Balance sneakers and black studded tote bag, I added the turquoise and gold necklace for another little pop of colour and to stop this looking too Halloween-y with the black and orange!
Last worn: leopard print tee, turquoise necklace, distressed denim skirt, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.
Other ways to wear: leopard print tee and matching bag, distressed denim skirt and floral kimono, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and navy dress.
My Rebecca Minkoff Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart rose gold and pink beaded necklace
Tee: Atmos&Here navy stripe v-neck tee
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware
Why I wore it:
Wearing some old favourites with a new kimono I got for Christmas! This pretty blush pink kimono is going to go with so many outfits. A striped tee and denim skirt is a great outfit on it's own, but I like how the pink kimono added a little extra sun coverage and a bit more colour to this outfit. It is a really nice colour with the navy stripes on the tee and the black denim skirt, which was a December opshop find and just $1!
While the pink and rose gold necklace doesn't match the shade of pink in the kimono exactly I thought it was a nice combination together. And the Adidas Superstar sneakers were comfortable for yet another day at a bike track and playground. Really been enjoying the open spaces of the bike tracks this summer, with all the Covid cases around in Brisbane.
Again I went with my Rebecca Minkoff unlined studded tote bag, it's nice with the black denim skirt and it holds snacks and water bottles for us all so well.
Last worn: navy stripe tee, blush and rose gold necklace, black denim skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff unlined studded tote (above). First time I've worn the kimono as it was a Christmas gift.
Other ways to wear: navy stripe tee and skinny jeans, black denim skirt and orange tee, Adidas Superstar sneakers and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff unlined studded tote and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: navy stripe tee in third trimester.

How You Can Wear It:
A tee and denim is a summer style staple! For something a little different you can try a brightly coloured printed tee with denim, like I've worn in the first outfit, or add a little extra colour to a classic stripe tee and denim outfit with a kimono like in the second outfit.
I like your pretty floral tee very much. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the both looks but the first is my favorite, gorgeous skirt and top!:)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend:)
It is the best top! I really need to wear this tee more often!
DeleteEue catching tote! Lovely and practical!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! Has been such a summer school holiday staple!
DeleteI am loving both those denim skirts! What fun looks.
ReplyDeleteI completely get that - after a few days inside something like a bike track is much needed, otherwise the kids might burst with excess energy.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It's nice spending time outdoors with the kids too, I get some exercise and energy out myself, ha!
DeleteBeautiful looks. I love the tote. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI am loving that black denim skirts! Cute and edgy all in one!

I too love both of those looks but I LOVE that blouse with the skirt. Thanks for the blog visit and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like so much both of this looks dear- OMG I miss to wear this kind of spring summer clothes already - here we still have a winter time xx
ReplyDeleteI love your pink kimono. Having staples like these black skirts is great, they go with just about everything and make outfit building in a hurry so easy.

So true! I've been working on adding more staples to my wardrobe recently! :)
DeleteThe combination of skirt and blouse is very successful. The bag looks like natural leather, durable.
ReplyDeleteIt is a really soft but durable leather, such a great bag!
Delete¡¡Hola Mica!! Maravillosos looks los que nos traes. Me han encantado por frescos y prácticos, ideal para el día a día y muy cómodos. Me han gustado los dos estilos, aunque si tengo que elegir uno me quedo con el primero. Besitos.
ReplyDeleteThe bag is perfect if your out with kids its spacious and still chic. Everytime I see Rebecca Minkoff bags it reminds me of you. My boyfriend gifted me a Rebecca Minkoff wallet and I have been using it for years.

They are really good quality, I'm not surprised it's lasted you so long! :) I definitely splurge on the brand far too often, haha!
DeleteLovely outfits!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of a denim skirt and a tee. It's almost as much of a classic as pairing a tee with jeans. I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)
ReplyDeleteEkaterina | Polar Bear Style
It is such a classic, fail-safe combo!
DeleteBlack and orange is good all year long ;) In fact, I'm wearing black and orange today, myself.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fun combination!
DeleteVery cute. Your first outfit is my favorite. It just goes so well together.
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely been making the most of your denim skirts, Mica. And I can't blame you as they must be the most versatile items of clothing ever. Although I'm loving both of your outfits, the first one is truly making my heart sing, with the pops of neon orange and turquoise. And yes, I think you should definitely reach for that tee more often. It's too good to remain in your wardrobe unworn! xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree! It should be worn much more often, such a cheerful tee to wear!
DeleteFantastic outfits. I love the first one, especially the T-shirt.
ReplyDeleteKisses
I love that handbag collection! Hard to pick a favorite, but I loved the striped one. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

You paid $1 for the black denim skirt?! *high five* What a score for a garment that is so useful in your wardrobe, Mica! Just goes to show, you don't have to spend a lot to get a great useful item.
ReplyDeleteI love LOVE that you wore the neon orange leopard with it, and I love even more that you accessorized with turquoise - I was just telling a coworker to wear blue (any shade!) with orange to avoid the Hallowe'en comments (inevitable!). I also really like these black sneakers with the outfit.
I like that you matched your Adidas (stripes) with your striped tee in the second outfit. Don't know if I'm a fan of this kimono just yet - the colour is nice, but the overall style is a little blah for my taste (I like every item to be a special one, but that's me! lol). Still a solid outfit.
Have a wonderful weekend, my dear friend!
So true - I've been really lucky with the opshop finds lately! Adding blue to orange to avoid the Halloween is such good advice! I think it really worked in this outfit.
DeleteUp close the kimono has a beautiful weave and texture on it, it just doesn't shine though in the pics!
The skirts are perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bag.

Great outfits ;) Have a nice weeked ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the first look with the black denim skirt, trainers and a fun top. The outfit with dark blue mini skirt is fabulous as well. I love how the pink kimono matches the necklace and the detail on the bag. A striped tee is always a good idea. You look great in both outfits.
ReplyDeleteSo true, can't go wrong with stripes!
DeleteNice outfits style :)
ReplyDeleteYour denim skirts are so cute! I can't believe I don't own one myself. You definitely need to wear that fabulous orange tee more often.
ReplyDeleteIt goes to show that black denim is just as versatile as our blue denim. I just love that orange leopard top...you definitely should wear it more Mica,

That black denim skirt is so cute! I love both looks but especially with the stripes + pink kimono + adidas sneakers that is something I would totally wear. Love that combo!
ReplyDeleteI love your leopard print tee! I've been thinking that I'm gotten lax in reading other people's blogs and realize yours is one of the nicest I've seen, so you'll see me more often. :)
