What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted hammered silver statement necklace
Blouse: thrifted Seed heritage black dolman sleeve blouse
Skirt: Cotton On 'Mica' mesh spot skirt in dusty pink
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black
Why I wore it:
I find I wear this pencil skirt with a lot of black tops! I really like the matchy-matchy of the black polka dots on the mesh paired with a black top, and then I had to go even further by wearing the black Converse Chucks and the black Stella McCartney Falabella bag. I really liked the silver chain hardware with the statement silver necklace. Both the necklace and top are recent opshop finds and they look so good together! The only downside to this outfit was that I couldn't really layer my cardigan over the sleeves in the office when I got a little chilly. But over-active aircon vent I was sitting under aside, I liked this outfit. Perfect for a day full of meetings.

Why I wore it:
I liked the outfit combination above so much I wore a very similar one again! This textured pencil skirt is a navy jacquard one that I feel gets quite a lot of wear, so like the pink polka dot one I'm always surprised I haven't hit 30 wears with it yet. Again I copied the matchy-matchy accessories with the black Converse and black Stella McCartney Falabella bag, and silver accessories again to match the chain detail on the tote.Thankfully it was a little warmer in the office this time as I wasn't sitting near the over-active aircon vent, so I had no issues with this outfit. I enjoyed wearing it.

You have the most beautiful pieces in your wardrobe! I just adore the pencil skirts that you shared here, especially the polka dot one. It is so much fun! That fold over tote is a really beautiful accessory! I hope you have a great week <3

Those blouses are gorgeous, Mica, I do love a statement sleeve! xxx
ReplyDeleteI can see why you repeated this outfit combination since it's so effortlessly polished and chic. I'm a big fan of repeating outfit combinations that work. It just makes getting dressed so much easier.
ReplyDeleteThese are both such pretty looks, Mica! I love the dotted skirt in the first photo!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week so far! :)
Make Life Marvelous
I really like the way your converse dresses down both skirts perfectly! Your black top in the first outfit was a great find! Hope you are having a good week!
ReplyDeleteHello, Mica!
ReplyDeleteI like the formula of these two outfits, I love pencil skirts! As I don't really like wearing dark colours, I like the first look better, but you look beautiful in both outfits!
Have a nice week!
I also find dolman or batwing sleeves challenging - there's only a small window for wearing them! Great to see that bag! It's one of my favourites!
