Colourful Tees and Blue Prints With Rebecca Minkoff Pink Jean MAC Crossbody Bag

In an effort to get through more of my outfit backlog before Christmas, (as I feel weird posting Christmas themed outfits in the middle of January), another Wednesday post! Still won't be a regular occurrence but it's good to be able to do this now and then when I have gotten dressed most days of the week and have an overabundance of outfits! Simple summer outfits with tees and my little pink Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag I shared in my last post too.

What I wore:

Shorts: Kmart culotte short in navy lemon print

Why I wore it:

This was a long but fun day! We had to get a few things crossed off our Christmas shopping list so we headed out to the outlets. It was really productive and we got almost everything we went to buy, and I even managed to pick up some adorable little gold dishes to use for our Christmas table centrepiece. Even though I'm not hosting Christmas this year I like to decorate our table for December, and this year the boys and I painted some pinecones and covered them in glitter to use them on our dining table.

There are 3 different shades of pink in this outfit with the berry toned tee, pastel pink in the print of the shorts, and almost mauve pink of the Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag. But I think it all worked so well together! I wasn't sure if the tee and bag would be too similar at first but I really enjoyed this combination and it was so comfortable for a long day of shopping at some very crowded stores.

What I wore:

Necklace: blush pink and gold beaded tassel necklace
Tee: Spectrum basic v-neck tee in washed lilac
Skirt: Target navy side split maxi skirt
ShoesWittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs waxed leather cream howlite beaded wrap bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag in fig

Why I wore it:

I really liked the colour combination of this outfit too! I like blue and pink and blue and purple together, this outfit has all of that and I even added another shade of pink with the blush necklace. I think the two shades of pink worked well with the lilac tee and I've worn this navy stripe maxi skirt with the purple tee before, it's a great pairing.

After the school run we had a quick errand to run - dropping off some donations at the opshop which of course turned into picking up more things 😂 Got some more Christmas decorations and a few more books for the kids and I. After that went to more shops to try and get more Christmas shopping done, picking up a few things we hadn't been able to get at the outlets the weekend before.

How You Can Wear It:

A pink bag goes with so many other colours! Navy is a good pairing but you can also try things like purple as I have in the second outfit, or different shades of pink like in the first outfit.

  1. It's great that you were able to get things crossed off your list at the outlets. I haven't been in ages! Also haven't done much in person shopping, I rarely do at Christmas. My kids send me links to all the things they want and I just order, so easy!
All the shades of pink work so wellin your outfit!

  7. I am so envious that Australia has done the hard work to beat back the virus, so you can return to a more normal existence. Here, the thought of going to a mall terrifies me. Both of your outfits are really cute. Love that purple tee!

The second outfit is also fabulous. The purple top looks great with the striped maxi and the RB bag is again so pretty. You look lovely in both outfits.

  19. I love that first little skirt and that necklace. I often forget to add interest with a necklace. It does help now that I have hung them in my closet. The purse sure is working with a lot of outfits!

  20. I think I know which bag is your current favourite, Mica :-) I'm loving both of your outfits equally. Never mind the different shades of pink in the first one, it is absolutely delightful. And I love the colour combo of your lilac tee and pink bag in the second. I'm hearing you on the Christmas outfits in January thing. I am usually a week or two behind in my blog posts, and I've got to be creative to include anything Christmassy at the right time :-) xxx

  22. Love your first outfit, Mica - that is the perfect shade of rosy pink on you. Great bag, and you'll be happy to know I'm wearing my Mini Mac daily, and it's wonderful. This slightly larger size is nice, and cool colour.

Fantastic maxi skirt in your second outfit - you look about 6 feet tall!

Glad to hear you're decorating - your pinecone art sounds wonderful. You're going to laugh when I reveal some of my childhood ornaments - there are a bunch that are ones I made as a child. They are full of memories of making things like your pinecones.

    Hugs to you, my friend!

    1. I loved seeing your childhood ornaments! Just like my parents have, all the ornaments we made as kids! :) I'm so glad you're getting use from the bag, it was an awesome find!

I need to wear that maxi skirt more often if it makes me look that tall, haha!

  25. Yay for being able to cross things off your list. This time of year is always so busy and it seems that way even when we are mainly at home. I love your rose colored top as well as your RM bag. The color is just absolutely stunning! We are done with our Christmas shopping. I do miss going to the outlets or mall in person so living vicariously through you! I hope your week is going well Mica and happy Thursday!

  27. That's just lovely that you got to complete your to-do list just in time for Christmas. I adore the two outfits you wore as I find them super cozy and chic at the same time. You always have fun with color-matching and blocking, it's so inspiring! I don't go to the malls often these days but I did visit an old childhood mall to fix the screen cover on my mobile and it was so very quiet with lots of shop closed and some parts are under renovation. It was such a strange nostalgic feeling as I compared it to the time (almost two decades ago) when malls were bustling! Wishing you a lovely pre-Christmas fun with the kiddos :D xoxo
