What I wore:
Scarf: Seed Heritage Paisley print snood
Top: MEV Britney bubble tank in mood indigo C/O Zibibo
Jeans: Jeanswest prima denim super skinny jeans in absolute black
Shoes: Asos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bag: Mulberry regular Alexa bag in foggy grey
Why I wore it:
This breastfeeding tank was hidden away in my wardrobe - was happy to stumble across it and get it out for another wearing, it's been over a year since the last time. While the majority of the things I wear to breastfeed are just normal tops I can pull up or down, it's nice to have a few dedicated nursing friendly pieces in my wardrobe. As usual I was rushing around in the morning, trying to get the boys organised for playgroup. I wanted to wear a scarf with this and picked the tan snood as I thought it would compliment the boots well. Completely different shades, but I think they go together nicely.
Last worn: wool cardigan, paisley print snood, bubble tank, skinny jeans, leather boots, Mulberry Alexa.
Other ways to wear: maxi cardigan and flares, paisley print snood and a little red dress, bubble tank in the third trimester, skinny jeans and a khaki tank, leather boots and a boho dress, Mulberry Alexa and a maxi skirt.
What I wore:
Scarf: gifted navy bird print scarfTee: Atmos&Here grey Arizona zip tee
Jeans: Jeanswest Bindi skinny 7/8 jeans in indigo luxe
Shoes: Asos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bag: Mulberry regular Alexa bag in foggy grey
Why I wore it:
This is what I wore to run out in the morning and do a few quick errands and get more supplies for dealing with a sick toddler. While toddler T is better now and can interact with kids and return to his twice weekly daycare sessions, we were quarantined at home for a while as hand foot and mouth is really contagious between kids. Thankfully adults don't have any symptoms if they do catch it (at most a mild cold) and we managed to prevent toddler T passing it onto his baby brother. My mother in law kindly watched toddler T for a while so I could get out and get everything we were running low on.I defaulted to that easy outfit formula I'd worn a few days before. The scarf is new, I thought it was nice with the blue jeans and grey top. It was a Christmas present last year and I'm pleased it's cool enough to wear it, I really like the bird print. (Birds like it too apparently!)
Last worn: wool cardigan (above), grey tee, prima skinny jeans, Asos Cleo boots (above), Mulberry Alexa (above). First time I've worn the bird print scarf.
Other ways to wear: wool cardigan and a maxi skirt, grey tee and denim shorts, prima skinny jeans and a kimono, leather boots and a polka dot shirt dress, Mulberry Alexa and leopard print.

Poor Toddler T, I'm glad to hear he's doing better now. I hope he's back to himself completely soon! Love both of these looks--they look really comfy and warm but still really stylish and put-together. I think the scarves really help complete the looks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shea! It was tough but he's back to normal now :)
DeleteWow, love this look!

Though similar, they still have their special touches. The scarves add a little something extra. (: I can't wait to find some new wool cardigans for our winter. Hard to think about when it's super hot here though. (;
ReplyDeleteI do love my scarves! :) It's starting to warm up here too unexpectedly, it's rather nice :)
DeleteYou look lovely in both outfits Mica. Each look is very sophisticated, yet practical enough for running errands and getting things done. I especially love the bird print scarf. That shade of blue looks lovely on you. Sorry to hear your toddler was sick, that must have been worrying. I do hope he's made a full recovery and is feeling much better now.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab weekend!

Thanks Saba, he is much better now. The scarf has been a big favourite this winter, I've been wearing it a lot.
DeleteI really like this formula: skinnies+boots+cardis+big scarves
ReplyDeleteYou look good and I think you can fit A LOT in that Mulberry bag.
It does hold a lot! It's perfect with two little ones :)
DeleteNice cardigan, it fits perfectly with your casual outfit. I love the boots and the bag's color.

Skinny jeans, boots, and cardigans are definitely my favorite winter outfit formula! So easy, but it still looks put together. :)
ReplyDeleteThat cardigan looks like one of those holy grail wardrobe items that you can wear for anything at any time. You'd struggle to get me out of it, I think! I've been looking for one like that for ages that doesn't make me look frumpy, no luck so far. Maybe I'll check out Jeanswest when I'm next over in the hopes they do another similarly nice one next season.
ReplyDeleteGlad toddler T is better now, and you got the chance to get out and about a bit. Hope everything continues to go well!
I've been struggling to get out of it and wear other things, haha! You'd love Jeanswest I think - they do a tall range! They also ship internationally ;)
DeleteThat bird scarf is fab and I'm a bit in love with your boots. Pleased Toddler T is feeling better and that you can all get out of the house... You must be the best dressed mum at playgroup!
ReplyDeletehaha thank you! There are some extremely stylish ladies at playgroup.
DeleteEverything looks like such a comfortable and easy fit! Love that dark blue color on you.

This is one of my all time favourite winter go to looks as well! And it looks lovely on you. I used to love Jeanswest when I still lived in NZ. And that Mulberry has me wishing I wasn't on a shopping ban...

DeleteOh that bird scarf needs to find its way to my closet! I love it! You are a girl after my own heart...this is my Fall mom uniform for sure. Now I just need Fall to arrive here! But alas, we are just in the middle of this sweltering summer...so I guess I should enjoy the warm weather while it lasts since it is so fleeting where I live!

DeleteYou pull off such stylish outfits for your errands:) Love both outfits, and that cardi is such an awesome wardrobe piece. Great to hear that T is better. Kids getting sick is never fun:(
ReplyDeleteI love finding things I haven't worn for a while hidden at the back of my wardrobe - its like having new clothes you know are gonna look good! These are both gorgeous scarves - I especially like the navy and white one (though my mum is terrified of birds so I fear I wouldn't be allowed to wear it in case of bumping into her!). Also loving your Mulberry - I have the Effie hobo but I love the Alexa style x

DeletePoor toddler T :( Glad to hear he's doing better. Hand, food and mouth is quite a common and also quite contagious so you have to be really careful. Love the peek inside your Mulberry Alexa bag. Looks like you've got all your essentials down to a science so everything fits just right :)
ReplyDeleteYes it spreads so quickly between kids sadly! I'm glad he's all better now though :)
DeleteThat a great cardigan you're wearing!
ReplyDeleteSo funny that it isn't warm over there,
forgot about the fact that you live in Australia :)

That wool cardi is really amazing! What a great buy! On another note I'm so happy that your baby is feeling better! HFM is no joke. We've been lucky to not catch it but I have some friends whose kids did and it's not fun.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not fun! Glad your kids have avoided it so far :)
DeleteThat wool long cardi is awesome...I love long cardis, they are very practical and yet they feel very stylish.
ReplyDeleteSkinny jeans and boots are always a winning combo.
I can't say whic one is my fav because both outfits are so amazing...love the diffrent shades in the first outfit...and the colours in the second outfits are lovely too.
That scarf with birds (from the second outfit) is such a nice find!!!
I'm happy to hear that the toddler T is doing better and that he didn't passed on the virus to his younger brother. It is nice they have a granny they can rely on, my mother also babysits for my nephew and niece when needs be (and I do too, we all got to help out).
It's great you can help your sister with babysitting - it comes in so handy sometimes.
DeleteAw glad he's feeling better! That cardigan looks so cozy!
