Jeanswest Maternity Tanks, Denim Shorts and Rebecca Minkoff Metallic Silver Mini MAC Bag

Maternity tanks and denim shorts have become my go-to for the hot Queensland summer. I'm trying to vary the outfits a little by wearing different accessories, and sometimes adding a kimono, but as I mentioned before I'm seeing out the last trimester of my pregnancy mainly wearing the few maternity pieces I have. I've essentially ended up with a capsule wardrobe, so there are frequent repeats. When the clothes are so comfortable though, I don't mind repeating them often!

What I wore:

Away From Blue | Black tank boyfriend denim shorts silver accessories third trimester OOTD

Away From The Blue | Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC Tiffany bracelet stack
NecklaceJeanswest Taki necklace (C/O)
TankJeanswest Carla maternity cut out tank (non-maternity version)
Shorts: Jeanswest Georgie maternity boyfriend shorts (available in non-maternity also)
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC (on sale in blue!)

Why I wore it:

Was surprised to find that I hadn't worn this necklace and tank together before - seems like a really obvious choice. I like wearing statement necklaces with this black tank, it's the perfect backdrop for it.

Wore this to go to Toddler T's first swimming lesson, and then have lunch with the in-laws.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, black maternity tank, maternity boyfriend shorts, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC.

Other ways to wearblack maternity tank and a magenta bag, maternity boyfriend shorts and a ninja baby tee, Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC and a maxi dress.

Maternity tanks under $50:

What I wore:

Away From Blue | Jeanswest Sol Maternity jacquard tank rolled up denim shorts RM mini MAC

AwayFromTheBlue | Third trimester baby bump, Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC
Necklace: Australian coin and crest necklace
TankJeanswest Sol Maternity jacquard tank (non-maternity version)
ShortsJeanswest maternity rolled up shorts
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC (on sale in black!)

Why I wore it:

I appreciated the simplicity of the tank and denim shorts combo on this day, it was really busy! I didn't even get time to share this outfit on instagram like usual. Had a lot of running around to do. After playgroup in the morning, toddler T had a different gymboree class in the afternoon. It was really fun! He's so used to the same room and teacher each week, so experiencing a different class meant he was even more excited than usual.

I was glad I'd worn denim shorts - unlike skirts they are much more practical for running around with a toddler at gymboree.

Last wornRay-Ban Wayfarers (above), printed maternity tank, Bermuda maternity shorts, Havaianas (above), Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC(above).

Other ways to wearprinted maternity tank in the officedenim shorts and a striped tankRebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC and skinny jeans.

  2. Seems like Queensland and Panama are in the summer at the same time. I have to admit, I have been wearing my tank tops too, but only to realise that they are not working that much for me. However I am glad to see that yours are delivering !

    1. Yep! It's been a long and hot summer here though, haha! Shame about your tank tops, but they aren't the only summer-appropriate item! :)

  3. How cute you look in your maternity denim shorts with the simple tanks. I like that sort of aztec-y tank top or singlet how you guys call it. And wow it is still very warm over there. Autumn is coming soon, though. =)

I just recently started my very own first linkup yesterday and I would love for you to join with this beautiful outfit. Thank you. The link is below.

  9. Cute outfits! How are the swimming lessons going? I've been wanting to take my stepdaughter to them, even though she's already 8. She loves being in the water, but doesn't know how to properly swim.

  11. Sometimes it's hard to add some layers in the warmest months, right? Still, you look gorgeous and radiant as usual, even in black! The necklace goes perfectly with that black tank top, as you said. And I completely agree that nothing beats the comfort of shorts during summer. ;)
Have a lovely weekend ahead, dear!

  17. Love the structured back part of the black tank. Those kind of details are my kryptonite (besides graphic tees and funky socks). Kind of glad I had my third trimester in winter, although on the downside, it was really hard to find shoes to wear. In the end, I've worn the same pair of sneakers all the time, the poor things...

You look stunning. I have to say my favourite has to be the first look though. I love the contrast of dark colour items with your skin!

Those maternity tanks look so comfy and love the one with the striped pattern. It must be so fun for your toddler to nave a new class experience too! Thanks for sharing with us :)

  30. Is it still hot over at yours? You are transitioning into autumn now, aren't you?
And yes, I am totally rocking a capsule wardrobe at the moment as well. But i am slowly getting annoyed with it, especially because I know that it will take some time after delivery until I can wear my regular clothes again.
