Luckily I have a few dresses to wear so it won't get too boring on the blog...
What I wore:
Shoes: New Balance white and blue sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
This tee dress is a favourite and was on frequent repeat when I first got it. As my son got older though I realised that maybe anything shorter than a maxi was a bit of a struggle to wear around kids, and it hasn't gotten a lot of wear recently. I last wore it on an anniversary weekend away with my husband, last year! It always makes me smile when I wear it so should definitely be worn more - even if I need to keep it to days like this where I'm not out with the kids!I headed out early, as I had to go to the doctors, get pet food for the dogs and get groceries. I figured it was best to do everything at once to minimise the amount of time I was out! Thankful that hubby is working from home too so I can leave the kids with him.
I really liked the little Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag with the colours in the print of the dress. This bag just happened to be the one I'd worn out a lot as I was frequently wearing it as the newest addition to my handbag collection, and it as things began to change I realise it didn't make sense to keep changing bags as often as I usually do, to avoid spreading germs around.
Last worn: floral tee dress, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford.
Other ways to wear: floral tee dress worn as a top, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: floral tee dress in second trimester.
Story Time: My Coach Wallet Broke!
A bit of a diversion from coronavirus, sharing the story of what happened when my coach wallet broke last year, and when going into the store to get things fixed was still a possibility. All the Coach stores in Australia are now closed.
What I wore:
Dress: Cotton On 'Tina' white striped tee dress in Lissy black / GardeniaShoes: New Balance white and blue sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
Exactly the same outfit as the one above with a small modification - this dress is striped instead of a floral print 😂Wore this to go grocery shopping, just 7 days after the outing above, but things had changed so much! There was a limit on the number of people allowed in store, there were big plexiglass screens around the cashiers, and I discovered that it's not possible to both load groceries out of the trolley onto the belt and pack them into bags at the other end of the checkout at the same time, since the cashiers aren't packing bags any more. I think I'll get better at it as time goes by, although I'm kind of hoping I don't have to get used to it for too long!
Last worn: striped tee dress, New Balance sneakers (above), Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford (above).
Other ways to wear: striped tee dress and leggings, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford worn two ways.

Tee dresses make such easy, comfortable yet stylish outfits, Mica! I really love the print on the first dress. So pretty! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Take care. Thanks for the linkup! :) XXX
ReplyDeleteI love that striped t-shirt dress! That is such a stunning and versatile piece. I also only recently started to keep my work sneakers out of the house. Though I don't really wear shoes indoors, I still bring them inside and wear them a little before taking them off, and when it comes to my work shoes, I stupidly didn't think twice about it. I've changed things up now but it's scary to think I could have been bringing who knows what into the house beforehand.

I'd read an article about how it was the main cause of the coronavirus being spread in a hospital setting, not sure how true it is, but we've never worn shoes in the house anyway so this is just being extra cautious, haha!
DeleteLove these chic dresses! I especially loved this stripes with the blue bag. Thanks for the link up!

I absolutely love that first dress! I'm dressing up for my essentials run too - although also just in something I can throw straight in the wash! Hope you're all keeping safe and well.

DeleteI love your cute tee shirt dresses, Mica! They really are the best! And I still cannot add links for some reason, so I apologize that I have not been joining your party! But it won’t let me! I hope your week is off to a great start!

Sorry you've continued to have technical issues :(
DeleteI'm trying to limit my grocery store outings and when I do go I get a TON of stuff! Too bad your Coach wallet broke, I'm sure they'll make good on it but what a bummer! Thanks for the link up Mica!
ReplyDeletexo,
Kellyann
I was glad they could repair the wallet! :) And yep, we are sticking to a weekly grocery shop and trying to get everything at once so that we don't run out!
DeleteI love a good tee shirt dress and both of these are so cute on you! The first dress is my favorite! Love the print!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
What a great idea to have a separate 'uniform' for the quarantine period. I'll take it into consideration, thank you for the advice! The striped dress looks fantastic :)
ReplyDeleteLots of love and stay safe ♥ January Girl
Looking wonderful Mica, that first dress is super cool and the print is so pretty. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I have been trying not to wear flowing items like maxi skirts or kimono when I go shopping and I wipe down my purse, phone and cards when I get in the car. I had to look back at your anniversary outfit! Very versatile dresses!
ReplyDeletewww.chezmireillefashiontravelmom.com
They are such great dresses! :) And yes, simplicity is key for me when we are shopping!
DeleteThese are both such cute dresses (I really love the floral print one) - having a "uniform" for the times you need to leave the house is such a smart idea!
ReplyDeleteCourtney ~ Sartorial Sidelines
Both dresses are so cute:) You look great as always. And man...isn't it so crazy that we have to think of these things now when we go out, eh? What can go in and out of the house...how to pack bags in grocery stores...sigh...I pray that this ends soon.
ReplyDeleteStay safe:)
It is a very different world at the moment!
DeleteI love this outfit, and the bag goes really well with it. I think you have a great idea with using just one outfit/bag/shoes to go out in. You can never be too safe! I hope all is well with you friend, and you have a great rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteMake Life Marvelous
How darling is that striped dress! So cozy chic <3

I have my eye on some tee dresses, and Keds to match! Trying to lose a little weight first - not easy.

I love both dresses equally because of completely different reasons. That first dress, the pattern is bold and beautiful on you. You should wear it more often!!! The second dress is so casual but also put together and your purse really pops. Love these looks so much. Happy Monday.
ReplyDeletebosbodaciousblog.blogspot.ca
I really should wear it more often - it will be great with leggings in the cooler weather!
DeleteLove your knit dresses, especially the colorful floral print! Keeping a pair of outside shoes during quarantine is a very good idea, thanks for sharing. I all of our careful actions, I had not thought of that. Stay safe and well!
ReplyDeleteI think we are all doing what is best for our families :)
DeleteThese kind of dresses are really perfect in this period, when you wanto to stay comfy but still looking cute for those (rare) outgos!
ReplyDeleteThat bag is super super cool!

Those t-dresses are perfect for running out and tossing in the wash. I really like the print and contrast sleeves of the first one. It's nice that you're getting use out of it!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, love those dresses :-D
ReplyDeleteVery lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these dresses! Lovely and comfortable outfits!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
jointyicroissanty
Both dresses are gorgeous but I LOVE the print on that first one especially. It is so vibrant and beautiful. Very smart that you are using the same purse whenever you go out. I have only been leaving the house once every week or two....but I should probably start doing this in future!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Hello
ReplyDeleteWhen I go out, I also wear comfortable clothes, it's usually a sweat and jeans, zero accessories!
Here it is still not hot enough to wear a tee dress like yours, super easy to wash !! I liked the striped tee !! Oh and the bag!!

Both your tee dresses look like the perfect jammy dresses, as Sheila would call them. They're comfortable yet look dressy enough to go out in. Shopping really has become quite an unreal experience, hasn't it? Take care and stay safe, Mica! xxx
ReplyDeleteThey are ideal jammy dresses for sure! :)
DeleteBoth of these looks are great for going out for the essentials. Like how you layered the first look. And yes very strict but smart guidelines. It is cool here with some rain. But I am OK with that as it will be hot and humid soon enough.

You look absolutely classy in your jammy dresses, Mica! I love that striped one, and am happy that you 'rediscovered' your floral one - it's a lovely colour.
ReplyDeleteIt's so strange, going to the grocery store these days, isn't it? It's an adventure!
It is so different now from a few weeks ago!
DeleteI love that stripped dress, I feel like I would use it as a tunic shirt tbh.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy that we have a new normal but I am glad that people are working together to get out of this situation sooner than later. I love the idea of having one outdoor outfit especially since we aren't going out anywhere anytime soon. I love the print on your dress and the color is very cheerful that it's hard not to smile looking at it. I also stopped bringing my bags out and just carry my license/card when going anywhere. Less to deal with when coming back home. Anyway, I hope you had a great weekend and happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteMaureen | www.littlemisscasual.com
I did consider going out without a bag but I didn't want to have things in my hands all the time - I think the bag works for now :)
DeleteIt's wild because I bet a lot of the changes are going to be around for a long time. It's like how 911 changed flying. Not that I like it, but people have so much fear right now, which is sad.
ReplyDeleteI love a dress because they are so easy. In fact, that's what I've been buying lately.
Happy Monday Mica,

Both of these dress are super cute. I'm surprised that the cashier aren't packing the grocery. We are still packing the grocery here in the US. I hope you are having a great week. Todays my say off so I'm staying home.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.amysfashionblog.com/blog-home
Oh we have to use our own bags and to keep it safe for the people at the checkout they are just leaving it to us to put the things in the bag, so they aren't touching our bags.
DeleteI love both of these dresses! We had a taste of warm weather again today and I'm hoping I can pull some of my spring dresses out soon! Grocery shopping is pretty bizarre here too. Only 2 gallons of milk at some stores and not much choice on brands for some items. We are trying to go 2 weeks between shopping so it's hard to get enough sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to stretch it out to 2 week shops but we go through so much fresh fruit, and bread never lasts long as the boys eat so much, haha!
DeleteIn my opinion, this simple tee dress that you wear is also comfortable to wear.
ReplyDeleteIn my country many women wear it too because the climate in my country is tropical.
Greetings and have a nice days
Your t-shirt dress is adorable, Mica, and I love your navy bag too! So smart to have a designated outfit for when you leave the house these days.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fabulous week!

Like both looks, you just put it on and off you go on errands. I like the first one for its nice bright colours and print. I also try to minimize the amount of time I need to go out. Have a great week

I think T-shirt dresses are a very good choice both for staying home or ging to the supermarket! :-) My favorite is the striped one, I love stripes! You look comfortable and pretty!
ReplyDeleteHopr you're having a fine week!
Those are the best dresses to wear around the house. So comfortable and yet stylish. I always love striped dresses.
ReplyDeleteStripes are the best!
DeleteGreat little dresses for going out and about. Interesting that your supermarkets have just started that you pack your own, its been here for several weeks. Good that hubby could mind your little ones. Take care, have a good week and many thanks for hosting Mica.
ReplyDeleteI did wear these outfits a couple weeks before I posted :)
DeleteI love the idea of putting on a comfy but cute dress for necessary errands! These are great dresses, and I'm sure it feels nice to be in something besides comfy pants :)
ReplyDeleteDear Mica, you even found the perfect outfit formula for these challenging times! I understand the first dress makes you always smile when you wear it and I love the second dress, too!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty organized and a very sensible way to limit term exposure, well done. I still where my usual work clothes, but change in something more comfortable at home - any excuse...
ReplyDeletehaha yes comfy at home clothes are the best!
DeleteI loved your looks, beautiful as always! :)

I'm a big fan of t-shirt dresses- they can be such easy things to throw on, but when they have a great cut + print like yours, they can make a statement!

ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! These dresses are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful tee dresses. You look pretty and fresh in both of these outfits. Great styling!
ReplyDeleteAdore both looks! You make wearing these dresses so chic and stylish! As for shopping for groceries during the coronavirus, things have changed quite a bit, some for the better, some a bit of a nuisance, ahaha. We do all have to wear masks when we go to the market here and there is security that takes your body temperature with the pointing device. I loathe wearing masks but I'm getting used to it. I miss eating out and we've been eating in for one whole month! Anyway, I hope you're staying safe with the family. Take care :)
ReplyDeletewe don't have to wear masks but some people do - it's a strange sight to see here!
DeleteYou've certainly found a cute uniform for our new normal! The second dress, in particular, looks so comfy!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love comfy dresses like this. Absolute favorites.
