Travelling for Work: Print Top, Pencil Skirt | Working From Home: Jeans and a Tee, RM MAM

Here's what I wore for an extremely long day on Tuesday:

day long meeting outfit pencil skirt printed top tan flats LV NF tweed jacket

JacketJeanswest Dixie collarless jacket
Necklace: gift from DH
TopJeanswest 'Amelia' tribal print top
SkirtAsos black tailored tab front pencil skirt (new purchase)
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs Logo Plaque flats in camel
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Sorry for the poor quality photos - these were taken as I waited on the taxi around 5am Tuesday morning! Had to fly to another state for an all-day meeting which required being up before sunrise and getting home just a little before midnight. A really long day. Thank you for sharing some tips for flying with a cold - they were so helpful. I drank lots of water and brought a scarf too to try keep me cosy on the plane.

I wanted to look professional but stay warm, so I picked this lovely jacket, fun printed top (to take direction away from my tired face!) and a black pencil skirt. It was a lovely outfit idea, but mid-flight turbulence and a banana peel meant my skirt didn't end up as pristine as it started...hurriedly splashing it with water helped a little at least. Although still too sick with the cold to smell properly, I'm sure my colleague was only joking when he said I smelt like banana :P

Linking up with What I Wore to Work, Fashion Informant, Spotlight Linkup, Three-fer Thursday today.

Last worn: Jeanswest jacket, purple print top, camel flats, LV damier azur neverfull. First time I've worn this skirt as it's a new purchase.

Here's what I wore to work from home today:

Tee: gifted Monster Threads cat and dog graphic tee
Jeans: Cotton On grey skinnies

After Tuesday's long day, a sleep in was required so I worked from home today. Was good to catch up on everything I'd missed from being out of the office yesterday.
Nice casual and comfortable outfit, good for working from home and taking a relaxing stroll to the post office to pick up a wonderful parcel from my church! A couple of months ago, Cooper won the "At the Movies" video competition by re-enacting this famous clip....

And this is the great prize pack we won! Cooper liked it too :)

The "At the movies" series has finished at Church Online now, but we have a great one about friendships that's highly worth watching! You can see it live here.

Last worn: orange sunniesCat and dog tee, grey skinny jeans, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB.

  1. Wearing a bright top to distract people is a great idea - one that's never occurred to me before! You don't look too tired though. Hope you're all rested now :) And I love your second more casual outfit too, how cute is that tee!

    PS - Go Cooper!! :))

  24. I hope you got some rest after your long day!

For some reason I can't stand to travel in work clothes, so I usually wear separates on travel days so I can have on jeans on the plane, then a quick pit stop to the ladies room to change into a skirt/pumps.
