What I Bought In April & How I Wore It

Every month I like to share what I've bought and how I've worn it. This month was a month of impulse buys, driven by sales. Grab a drink and watch the video where I go through everything in detail, and try everything on.

What I Bought:

I know I don't usually include beauty products in my hauls, mostly because only wearing makeup two days a week to go into the office means I rarely have to buy replacements! But I picked up a couple of things in the Priceline 40% off sale.

How I Wore It:

awayfromblue april monthly purchases and how I wore them rebecca minkoff poncho belt and Jeanswest

No surprise I wore the navy Jeanswest top twice right away - it's perfect for SAHM life and office life. You could even breastfeed in it if you do the singlet underneath trick and lift it up for access.

I'm pleased I managed to wear everything else twice too, especially the kimono as I was worried it would be too warm to wear this month. Thankfully autumn weather started to arrive near the end of April so I could meet my goal and wear it twice! I like to wear everything I buy twice in the month I buy it. It ensures I buy things I can use right away, stops things being bought just to sit unworn in my wardrobe, and makes me think of different ways I can wear things before I buy.

  1. This post is so making me want to go shopping again LOL!
I love how you wear everything immediately once you buy it. I like to do the same especially when I have somewhere fun to go.
Hope you're having a beautiful day!

  2. The tshirt with a star print is very pretty. I like the navy blue blouse as well....love that velvet belt too! The kimono is very chic as well, the fabric looks thick so it should be perfect for autumn.

  3. Hi Mica
We in Europe call the "poncho" kimono.
I love it, I have several. I wear makeup every day, the day I don't have make up is because I am very sick ahahha. I love buying beauty products. I especially liked the last look and the way you wore your vest with the belt.
Around here we continued with rain and yesterday it was an adventure to get pictures for the blog.

  6. Great pieces! I especially love that navy top and belt. I also really love your philosophy about wearing everything twice within the month you get it! I've started doing something similar by accident but this inspires me to be more intentional about it because it's very practical and as you said, a great way to make sure pieces really fit with your wardrobe and lifestyle.

  38. Hi Mica!
Nice pieces you're showing us in today's post! I personally loved that poncho-kimono thing and how you styled it. It's the kind of garment I would use for sure while in Italy, as the weather has been rather nice and sunny but now it just started raining again D: So, pieces as cover ups and light jackets are a total must have in my wardrobe while being abroad. I'm always looking for that kind of pieces you can wear in many different ways.

Thanks as always for your kind comment on my blog,
Hope you're all having a nice week!

    Best,
